In recent days both the Thieves and Assassins guild have collapsed due to infighting, rivalry, and meddling from the city's government. However rather then having a calming effect on the crime in the city it has done quite the opposite and the city is now in chaos with many small gangs fighting and causing trouble.
Welcome to Freeport, where all men are free and everything has a price. The Alturistic Government felt that the City would do better without an Assassins or Thieves guild and boy where they wrong. While the law tries to put down all the small crime waves that have been popping up after the collapse of the two guilds everyone is taking advantage of the fact that they are spread far too thin and Freeport is becoming more and more lawless everyday.
