Still with his hands up in the air, Walter takes care when he swallows so that his 'Adam's apple' isn't cut by Katara's sword. "Humor? As soon as he says the word he instantly regrets his decision and quickly tries to make amends. "I swear I have no idea, besides it looked like a big humanoid... not really fond of horse I think, and, honestly, I expect not to find out... the curiosity killed the cat ya know..."

Walter looks from Katara's blade, to the angry dwarf, the skeletons and the dead body nearby, imagining if he had not jumped out of the frying pan into the fire. "Ya will not really like to kill me lady... I'm a tiefling, cursed by a death curse... if I die I'll explode in flames..."

Noticing that her poorly executed bluff somehow only managed to increase their curiosity about killing him, he tried to make amends."Ok, ok, not my best tale... but could you blame me? I've lost my horse, spent the last 10 minutes running from something, and then landing amid a bunch of guys who seems pretty willing to kill me! How am I supposed to actually give you a good reason not to kill me? I'm not pretty, not rich or well-born, not a warrior, and not a magician... and I don't even explode!" He sighs, hoping that whatever was chasing him have at least the decency of showing up.

It looks like my fake nickname is finally catching me and biting me in the ass... As a last hope strategy, he decides to take advantage of his big eyes and his somewhat catlike nose and lips and make the best 'pity cat' face, even lowering his long ears.

Walter smiles and steps back, away from Katara's sword and starts the gestures and words necessary to cast the cantrip. He makes sure to pronounce it slowly so the other spellcasters are able know he is not trying to be funny this time. As the balls moved forward, Walter was still deciding what would be worst... to find about the creature, perhaps putting them in danger, or don't finding it, putting HIM in danger. Once he is done, he lifts his hands into the air once more.
