As far as I'm concerned, you can take anything you could use on Baldrek, and sell or keep it.

He won't use it in the Eternal Gardens.

Regarding the wand, I was already saving gold for it... Walter can throw 275gp towards it.

Guys, what do you think we should trade for the Wand of CLW? The Ring of Feather Falling, or the Horn of Fog? Or did you want to just pool our cash together for the wand?

Inactive

I say we pull cash. Both of those items, while not amazing, could make an encounter or obstacle much easier to handle. Between the weapons from the skeletons and the gems/cash I think we'll have enough, but we really need to update the loot sheet.

Katara, are you available to tally everything up or can you grant others edit rights to the sheet?

When I get home tonight I will fix it and also give our GM access to edit it. It should have already had that but I am finding some of my products are reverting so I will fix that.

Unfortunately can't use Google Doc's on work computers so Has to wait for tonight.

I apologize for my absence.

Welcome back.

Don't worry: your spankings were waiting for you.^^

I've got this all on film, D-E.

Anybody get the reference?

I updated the loot list and sold off some extra armor and weapons (assuming standard half value) including some of Baldrek's gear. This puts us at about 577 gp before selling off any of the more valuable items like the ring of feather fall or the horn of fog. If we can scrounge up about 180 gp, we can keep the better items and still afford the wand of cure light wounds at caster level 1. I think this is our best move, but it also pretty much empties the coffers and doesn't net anybody any money. It does go a long way towards cementing our survival though.

Well we do still have those three gems worth 50 gp each, so that nets us another 150 gp. Plus we have a green gem which has not been appraised yet. Assuming that gem is worth some coin, we should easily have enough to purchase the wand.

Male NE tiefling investigator (questioner) 3 | HP: 25/25 | AC: 18 (13 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 16 | F: +3, R: +6, W: +5 | Init: +3 | Perc: +8*, SM +6 | Speed 30ft | Spells: 1st - 4/4 | Active conditions: None.

In any case, I had already saved up to 275gp towards it when I build Walter so feel free to use it!

Ok sounds good Walter!

So, assuming Walter contributes his share of 180 gp, and Zurka tosses in 50 GP as well, we are currently up to 646 GP total for the wand. We just need 104 GP more to get it!

You can get that money by selling a few things or pooling your money

Inactive

We have 577 total and need 173 total, not each. If Walter wants to contribute the 173 gp, that would probably go a long way towards smoothing his entry into the group and building some trust, but that's totally up to Walter. I wouldn't normally like it but since we're the bad guys team I'm okay with it. Maybe Zurka can pay for room and board?

Any other items we need?

Ohh OK, I forgot to add the money from the Coins we found earlier! So assuming Walter contributes his share here, we should easily be able to afford the wand...and still have enough for room and board he he.

PS: Zurka did contribute 50 GP of his own stash for the wand as well.

Inactive

Ok so adding in Zurka's 50 gp means that we need 123 gp. Assuming Walter wants to contribute that, then we arrive at the fort during the day, shop and acquire room and board, and arrange Baldrek's funeral. The next day is the actual funeral and then personal time/day off or whatever. Day 3 we head back to the fort at first light?

So, are you ready to buy the healing wand?

I believe we are only waiting on Walter to give up his share of the loot, and then we should be all set.

Sorry, I thought I had already mentioned that I'm completely ok with contributing any amount of gold. I have 275gp with me.

Posting here just to let you know that I'm following the gameplay thread... the thing is that since I said Walter would be taking care of the accommodations, he is still waiting for any of you to come by.

Also GM, could you remove Baldrek as an active player?

So how many nights will she have to heal before we head off?

You will have you night, spend outside the Fort.
But you can be healed at the Temple of Abadar. Depends how much money you wanna spend:
10 GP: CLw by a L1 priest.
150 GP: CSW by a L5 priest.
Of course, you can ask for a CLW cast by a L5 priest (50 gp)

Guys, what are yours thoughts about the pace of our exploration?

I'm not a big fan of taking 20 but Walter's (and Bandrek's) Perception isn't high enough yet for we to be sure he will spot all the traps. Since no one needs trapfinding to find traps, I think that at least one more of you (probably Meurasod) should always come along to double check everything.

HP 24/24, | Init +3 | AC 17 T 13 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +4 W +2 | Per +0 | Low-light; DK 90'

The problem with taking 20 is the time it takes, which means more chances of running into wandering monsters. I say we move normally most of the time, and slow it down at certain points.

Thoughts?

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

I agree with Zurka. If there's time and we can be absolutely sure, or if it's absolutely mandatory, then yes.

Inactive

I don't really have any issues with taking our time or standing next to Walter to double check things, but I think taking 20 when looking for traps is up to the GM. Failing to notice a trap may count as a penalty for failure type of situation that would prevent taking 20.

I would allow taking 20 during normal exploration.
You don't have to come back before supper to Mommy's home (and don't forget to wash your hands!).

If there is a trap in a room while there is a fight, or an obvious threat, you can't take 20

Or I can roll for everyone when you enter a room/corridor or see a new door.

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

GM, how goes it with team goody 2 shoes?

Has one kicked the bucket yet?

Not yet. But they havent meet the big badie of this level, so all hope isn't lost.

So far, their thief is the most unlucky, being bitten by spiders and getting envenomed..

As a side note, can you move your tokens on the map yourselves?

Male NE tiefling investigator (questioner) 3 | HP: 25/25 | AC: 18 (13 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMB: +3, CMD: 16 | F: +3, R: +6, W: +5 | Init: +3 | Perc: +8*, SM +6 | Speed 30ft | Spells: 1st - 4/4 | Active conditions: None.

GM, when you say 'small spiders', you mean in the sense of really small spiders or a pathfinder-size reference meaning that they are small size (thus a giant spider)?

This sort of thing is always confusing... you tell your players: "You see large spiders" and most of them run in fear from your cinematic description thinking about the terrible CR 3 Giant Black Widow.

I mean "spiders tiny enough to pass under a door frame."

Tiny, by Pathfinder rules.

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

The size for swarms....... EEEWWWWWW, SPIDERS!!!

:P

As a note, I wont be able to post tomorrow, passing the first part of a professional exam

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

Good luck.

Thankies!

DM, while the swarm is forming, is Walter allowed to throw a flask of alchemist's fire in and already deal some damage? If he can't do damage to the yet-not-formed swarm, Walter would probably handle a flask of acid/fire to someone so we have more flasks flying...

Unfortunatly, you will have to wait until the swarm is formed.

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

If anyone has oil, you can pour it into the space.

Someone else could light a torch and toss it into the oil.

Burn spiders, burn!!

GM, you mentioned that both Katara and Walter were hit by the swarm but you also mention that was because they were closer to the door... Isn't it possible that you might have mistaken Walter's icon for Meurasod's?

Walter is 15ft away from Katara while Meurasod is just besides her AND besides the door.

It could be.. I was a lil" bit tired yesterday when I posted. Will get a closer look at it today

I'm sowwy for not posting yet, I'm tired, overworked and a lil"bit feverish... I'll post this week end.
