When morning comes, Shirota is already meditating to replenish his magical aura. He does so silently, and without leaving his bed. Then he dresses swiftly, stowing his new dagger in his boot.


After sleeping like a stone and dreaming of eldritch secrets, all forgotten in the waking world, Sarah follows the others to breakfast.

Parker buckles his swords to his belt, then heads to breakfast. He eats quietly.


General General appears, looking down the line of waiting people. Today, he begins, is when the real fun begins. Today, you get your first assignment. Our scouts have located a shipment of goods that may contain a priceless magical artifact, and His Majesty has requested that we retrieve it to add to the Vault.

You may be wondering how you are going to do this considering only some of you have gear? Well, wonder no more, for the Warden has spared some gear for those that requested it. If you forgot, I will make sure you loot some off of a fight asap. He motions to piles of various gear.

Shirota - chain shirt, 1 dagger, 1 katana.

Winst - warhammer, scale male, heavy steel shield

Zathan - chain shirt, longspear (small), heavy steel shield

Brayden - Heavy Wooden Shield, Leather Armor, Bastard Sword, Morningstar

Sarah - HEavy Steel Shield, Warhammer, Scale male.

If you are not on the list and would like gear, pm me so I can work it in as loot. If you would like more gear or better gear, pm me so I can consider working it in as loot.

You will be retrieving this artifact in Units. The units are as follows:

Hahahaha ...two days till vacation so I'm never near my computer.


We've had half the group drop out, and most of it was my fault for being too slow at the beginning.

I am busy so I will update tomorrow.

Finally free. I will be posting regularly (1-ish a day, 6 days a week) until the 25th. Then I will be out of town for a week (assume no posts), and after that I do not know.

But until then, lets play. If everyone could pm me so I know you guys are still here, then I will be able to possible reorganize units (lots of people quit).

Ok you 4, guess my multi table campaign is becoming a table campaign. I will be getting rid of units and we will just use this thread. We will be doing seperate initiative with block posting.

WinstInitiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
SarahInitiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
BillyInitiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
ZathanInitiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

So, Zathan and Sarah, and then the bandits, and then Winst and Billy.

To furthur explain, Zathan and Sarah will go in the first come first serve order, but if Sarah posts before Zathan, and then Zathan posts, and they both target the same bandit, and Sarah is enough to drop the bandit, Zathan can retarget. Zathan and Sarah must wait for Winst and Billy, however.

This is a full round, right? Not a surprise round, as in we can take a move AND a standard (or a full-round action) and not just one action?


Sarah mumbles a random string of syllabes and holds her hammer against the mark on her forhead. Raising the hammer, which sends out a small ring of multicoloured light that turns into a rainbow of sparkles above her allies, the young cultist proclaims "FOR CHAOS, FOR VICTORY"

Keeping his shield ahead of him and dragging his spear behind to keep it out of sight, Zathan walks calmly but with purpose toward the interlopers. Stopping after 30ft, he eyes them threateningly, daring them to charge as he mentally prepares himself, watching closely so that he can strike at any that come within range. Use Martial flexibility to activate Combat Reflexes. He adjusts his fingering on the spear, preparing it to strike any attackers before they can reach him.

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Jjagir follows closely behind.

As the bandit approaches, Zathan thrusts the spear directly toward the man's face from behind his shield. By keeping the spear pointed at him, he ensures that it's profile is foreshortened, ensuring that he won't see it until the last possible second. No mechanical effect, just trying to add some flavor to his fighting style.

Which one are you pointing to? Also, kinetic blasts have a maximum range of 30ft, so you'll have to either move up or use the Extended Range infusion (if you have it).

Winst grunts as Zathan moves forward. The large man would have preferred to wait for the bandits to move the entire distance, allowing them to use the campsite to hamper flanking.

He remembers the young man's fight in the practice match though and knows he can fight. Best not leave him out there alone though.

Double move to get to where Zathan is, slower cause of armor.

Waiting for those attacks to be resolved before taking a turn for round 2 (actions will depend on whether B6 drops, or if he looks close to it). Also, in case it matters, there should be an extra +1 from bless on my attack roll.

Oh, and by now, our characters should be able to see how the bandits are armed. Any of them wielding ranged or reach weapons?


Sarah moves closer to her allies, holding her hammer ready to wack any bandit coming to close.

Content with the damage he has done to the first bandit for now, Zathan directs Jjagir to finish him off as he moves, skirting the reach of the wounded bandit and the one next to him, to attack another of the hostiles (B8). He steps more quickly now (though still only taking a single move action), holding his spear behind him as if preparing to thrust, but he surprises the man by stepping too close to be effective with the long, spindly pike. Instead, Zathan kicks the man, and as he does so, he levels his spear in the other direction to threaten the two men behind him (B4 and B7).

Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 181d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
