"Ah..." Xochti goes back to looking at the seams between the crystal and the walls. "Maybe...if we put a lever...or a crowbar between..." She muses.

So, which way next?

Male Dwarf HP 45/45 AC 18 FF 17 T 11 F +8 R +3 W +4 CMD 17 Init +1

Durgen will cast acid splash at the crystal. If it has an affect on it, he will continue to cast it until it is destroyed.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

The crystal doesn't get damaged but it shrinks, Durgen can use enough acid splash to shrink the crystal down enough to get past

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

"That's better than my solution," Agia chirps. "Let's go!." Agia peeks into the cave to survey it before entering.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

Male Dwarf HP 45/45 AC 18 FF 17 T 11 F +8 R +3 W +4 CMD 17 Init +1

Good enough for me!

Durgen moves past the crystal to see what is on the other side

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Its the floor of the room were you fought the mite, the pasage way slowly winding down to were all the prisoners were kept.

Agia

Spoiler:
You notice a bunch of bones, human bones making little piles across the cave

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia points to a series of little piles of human bones dotted across the cave. "I wonder what made those. Keep a sharp eye out. Big guys in front?"

Xochti nods and accedes to Agia's wisdom, though the doughy Dwarven lass stays near her Uncle.

Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 (Plus dark-vision)

Dark Archive

Xotchi

Spoiler:
You don't notice anything that hasn't been described before

Male Dwarf HP 45/45 AC 18 FF 17 T 11 F +8 R +3 W +4 CMD 17 Init +1

Durgen will scan the room as well

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

*Nods* Indeed, with a result like that I'm surprised Xochti even knows where the floor is. :P

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Durgen

Spoiler:
You notice that all the prisoners have very faint scars all over their heads, backs and bellies, some of them have something under their skin wriggling

Male Dwarf HP 45/45 AC 18 FF 17 T 11 F +8 R +3 W +4 CMD 17 Init +1

"There is something under the prisoner's skin wriggling. Maybe put there from the scars on their bodies. Be careful."

Male Half-orc Cleric(Crusader)-1/Two-Handed Weapon Fighter-1

Perception:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1

Shaking his head from the effects of the crystal, he gives a toothy grin at the dwarf shrinking the gem. "Fine we'll take the front." He robs his eyes trying to take away the enchantment.

Male Human Cavalier 3(Honor Guard, Stratagist)AC 20/13/17 HP: 25/30 and 1 non-lethal

I am with you Aden moves in front with Hashar, ready to defend his allies.

Xochti again frowns at news of the prisoners treatment. Thinking of the spiders they'd faced before her imagination is not kind at conjuring up images of what could be 'infesting' the children.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

The prisoners are moving about aimlessly but not near you guys. Anyone wish to go up to one of the prisoners?

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia casts detect magic and takes a good look at the nearest prisoner... but from a distance of, say, 35 feet.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Agia

Spoiler:
At first you don't see anything magical, but then you notice a very faint aura of magic around the neck chains of the prisoner

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

"Bah. The chains are magical somehow, but I can see nothing about whatever has gotten under the prisoners' skin."

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

anyone care to make a knowledge (nature) or heal check?

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia tries to figure out what is up with the prisoners without getting too close. Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Agia

Spoiler:
You see that each prisoner has had something different done to them but mainly they are physical alterations, surgery of some sort that is not magical in nature. Thus what ever is moving inside them is not magical in nature

Male Dwarf HP 45/45 AC 18 FF 17 T 11 F +8 R +3 W +4 CMD 17 Init +1

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Knowledge Nature:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15 (A complete guess, no skill)

Xochti looks to her Uncle for an explanation as he examines the tragic waifs.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Durgen

Spoiler:
You've heard of creatures from the underground that are parasitic in nature, or that can be made into parasites with a little coaxing. Its likely that something of the sort is affecting the prisoners

Xotchti

Spoiler:
The prisoners look like something is alive inside them, like a large paracite

Xochti shudders,

"we get these poor souls out of here and we get them healed..." She states emphatically.

Male Human Cavalier 3(Honor Guard, Stratagist)AC 20/13/17 HP: 25/30 and 1 non-lethal

Are they even willing to follow us in this state. Ho There! Are you allright? We came to take you home!

Aden waits to see if any respond.

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

"Something has been done to them, physically. Whatever it is is not magical. Which makes this even creepier."

If any one of the prisoners is removed from the others, Agia will approach them slowly and carefully. She'll stop about fifteen feet away and ready her trident to strike if they attack.

"Hello? Can you hear us? Are you well?"

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

A bunch of prisoners look at you, tiers start to roll down their eyes but they make no noise or move. One staggers towards you arms out streched, hands cupped, towards Agia, as if to stroke her face.

Sense Motive:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Call me a paranoid young Dwarf...but...me thinks something bad might be about to happen (¬_¬)

Initiative:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Xotchi

Spoiler:
Well its very hard to get the intentions of someone so far gone, but it doesn't seem like she's trying to harm Agia, then and again, she might without wishing to

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

"Oh no you don't. Stay back. What's been done to you?" Agia prepares to swat away the prisoner's grope without attacking them.

Total defense action. +4 dodge to AC for touch AC of 15.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

She carries on foward and launches at you
Touch "attack"
1d20 - 3 ⇒ (19) - 3 = 16
She manages to lay her hands on Agia

Agia

Spoiler:
You are suddenly overwhelmed by sadness and pain as somehow all the horrible tortures this poor woman has experienced flood into you in a few seconds, far too quickly to make sense of it, but slow enough to shock you. make a will save

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

GM:

Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Agia

Spoiler:
You manage to hold yourself from complete panic, you're shaken for a round

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

"I'm sorry for your suffering," Agia quavers, "Come back with us, out of this place. We will get you help."

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

She shakes her head and tries to mouth something but you can't quite tell what it is she's trying to say

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia will wait a moment until she is calmer, then take a closer look at the movement under the woman's skin.

heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Agia

Spoiler:
The woman has a scar on the back of her head, having a small worm like thing wriggling under her skin there. The creature is actually in her brain as you can tell that a portion of the skull was removed before the skin was stiched. She also has a much larger, second scar on her stomach, with strange gray-black puss filled spots growing out around her waist, this is probably an infection and should be lethal, so its a miracle that this woman can walk at all

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia's face grows stormy and she looks at her companions. "This is more than just harmless games. Look, somebody has planted a creature in her head, here in the back. You can see it. I do not know what is going on with her stomach, but it can't be good. I'm surprised she is alive."

GM:

With that heal check, can Agia tell if the thing can be removed?

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Agia

Spoiler:
The thing in her stomach can be removed with a simple cure disease spell, the thing on her head though, that would require a surgery using a heal check, with a DC around 30, anything bellow DC25 would leave to permanent brain damage or death of the woman

Male Human Cavalier 3(Honor Guard, Stratagist)AC 20/13/17 HP: 25/30 and 1 non-lethal

This is horrible. If we cannot help get the things out of thier heads, perhaps the ones responsible can be made to, or at least bought to justice.

Female Human (I +3; P +4) Cleric 3 (HP 31/31, 0 nonlethal)

Agia looks at Aden in despair. "It will take great chirurgical skill to preserve their lives. I cannot do it. The sickness in the abdomen can be cured easily, but the thing in the head..." Agia shakes her head. "They are suffering horribly, though they cannot speak."

Xochti nods at the Cleric's words. So...who do we know who could help them?" Xochti counts the amount of prisoners,

Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 And the resulting number seems daunting

"And we know the local Wizards will be of no help..." She adds scornfully. (Assuming Xochti has been brought up to speed on such things.)

Knowledge Local:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Xochti goes about preparing to make scarf's for the waifs. Hence trying to make them less 'contagious' to party members and the public at large.

*Grumbles* Yay, frekkin' dice roller... (-_-)

Male Human Cavalier 3(Honor Guard, Stratagist)AC 20/13/17 HP: 25/30 and 1 non-lethal

The ones who did this are all I can think of. Should we leave this lot here to go find the one responsible? Perhaps they can undo this. The only other thing I can think of is the church of Imodae in Magnimar might care for them or posses a cleric capable of saving them..

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Xochti

Spoiler:
There are about 200 prisoners, around 50 of them being children

Male Half-orc Cleric(Crusader)-1/Two-Handed Weapon Fighter-1

Seeing the way they treat there slaves an anger look comes over the half-orcs face. "These vile creatures, take away there spirit with these THINGS!" He roars. "I am with Aden let us find who is responsible, so we may learn more about these worms while I tear them limb by limb." Hashar stands eager to move on.

Dark Archive

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Well you do know who is responsible, its the Derro, up in the wierd flashy lights cave

Xochti nods, "Aye, deal with the Derro and we can at least walk these folks out of here with more safety."

Really? No one has any hints on who to see about healing/fixing the victims? That's saddening. :(
