Tough attack is right, Paxs! :)
Corbyn advances and stabs at Lamm, but the old man knocks aside the strike with the hand crossbow. Brim heals Paxs and Paxs stands, firing his wand at Lamm!
Jeb is up. I'll give him a chance to post his action for Round 3, but I'm going to move on with Round 4!
ROUND 4:
17 Slumper
16 Lamm
8 Corbyn
7 Brim
6 Paxs and Thrak
2 Jeb
Slumper is up!
Slumper
I'm going to move to engage him from the north, I only have 25 movement so I can't get there but will cut off his retreat
"I'm coming for you, you oily bastard. I remember all those long cold nights, and I remember everything you did to my friends. You may remember Percival, but I assure you I'm not him any longer..."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Lamm snarls as Slumper pulls himself from the pool and advances. "So many little bastards to gut. Too bad the gator didn't chew on you longer, Percivel. Might have saved me the trouble." Lamm drops the crossbow and draws a well-made, if ill kept dagger from his belt. He dives at Corbyn, slashing at him as he does. Attack!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 The attack lands, but Corbyn feels the damage is much less than he expects. Lamm's strike is well-aimed, but feeble, doing only 1 point of damage. Age has humbled the old villain!
Corbyn, Brim, Paxs, Thrak and Jeb are up!
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Corbyn's attack causes Lamm to jerk to the side, barely missing the old man. Pax's acid hits home, though, burning a hole in the old man's side. Brim moves up and gets in position to attack, but cannot attack this round. Jeb NPCing, moves up as well, ready to move in to aid the assault.
Lamm looks pissed, but also worried. Clearly this is not a moment he foresaw when he woke up today!
ROUND 5:
17 Slumper
16 Lamm
8 Corbyn
7 Brim
6 Paxs and Thrak
2 Jeb
Slumper is up!

Slumper's attack hits Lamm hard, cutting him with his sword, but missing with the shield follow-up.

Lamm gasps as Slumper's sword rakes across his shoulder, cutting a long but shallow wound. He spits, and blood flies into the water of the harbor. Lamm snarls and dives at Corbyn, his dagger out and slashing! Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 His knife cuts Corbyn's cheek, dealing another 1 damage. Lamm looks at the faces, all assembled to kill him and spits again! "I'll see you all dead! D'you know who I am?!? I'm Gaedram F@cking Lamm, ye sorry sacks of sh!t! I've fed more punks to the sharks than all o' ye combined!" He laughs a dark laugh and leaps into the water!
Brim, Corbyn and Slumper all get attacks of opportunity, then it's Brim, Corbyn, Paxs and Jeb's turns!
Paxs
Paxs once again flips his wand at Lamm. "Feeding to the sharks sounds like a good idea, we might just do that to you! But then again we wouldn't want to make the poor animal get a belly ache."

Wow. That was a lot of low rolls. Fortunately, Slumper forgot to add in his flanking bonus...
Lamm leaps into the water, cackling wildly with the glee of having escaped his fate once more. Brim stabs at him, missing him, as Corbyn does the same with the same fate. Slumper, however, holds just a second longer and slashes out, catching the fiend across the lower back, where his armor raises as he leaps. Lamm cries out in pain and lands badly, bleeding into the water, facedown. He's clearly dying.
Combat's over. Does anyone want to save Lamm or shall you let him die?
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Corbyn leaps into the water, holding the old man's head down under the water. It takes a few moments, but the bubbles stop and the old man's corpse gives one last spasm.
Gaedram Lamm is dead.
The old man has a masterwork dagger in hand as well as a masterwork chain shirt on. His masterwork hand crossbow lies on the pier, and he still has 6 bolts remaining on his belt, along with a ring of keys. Also, there is the matter of the walled off room. The door is currently closed.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
The door has a lock, but it is currently unlocked. This foul-smelling room seems to be a combination bedroom and study. A wooden bed with a lumpy mattress stands against the east wall, while a round table heaped with dirty plates, bread crusts, stained goblets, fruit rinds, and cuttling cockroaches sits nearby. At the foot of the bed sits a large strongbox, a slighty rusted lock securing its lid. A sagging dresser filled with moth-eaten clothes well past their glory days is in one corner—what appears to be a wooden hatbox surrounded by a small cloud of flies sits atop this dresser.
Perception checks from anyone searching the room, please.
Slumper
Slumper takes a few months gathering himself just staring quietly in the water at Lamm's body. After a while Corbyn busying himself brings Slumper back around. He goes into the room to help Corbyn search.

The place is a pigsty. Roaches, rotten food, piles of unwashed clothing. It's obvious that Lamm never worried much about cleanliness.
Corbyn moves to the lockbox and tries three keys until he finds the right one. It opens with a click and reveals treasure indeed. Each one is wrapped in cloth and tied with twine. You cut the twine and reveal the following:
- A narrow teak cigar case inlaid with jade
- A 2 pound gold ingot bearing the Cheliax coat of arms
- A miniature gold crown
- A fist-sized scrimshaw kraken with garnets for eyes
- A silver ring bearing the inscription "For Emmah - the light of my nights."
- A very realistic and scandalous carving of two succubi entwined, made from ivory
- A masterwork shuriken
- An adamantine arrowhead
- An abalone shelled holy symbol of Shelyn
*- A tiny glass tube holding some sort of oil
*- An obsidian wand
*- A crystalline vial holding silver liquid
- And last, but certainly not least, a bejeweled broach with a broken clasp. The circular gold brooch depicts a pseudodragon and an imp coiled around each other in an almost yin-yang pattern. The pseudodragon’s eye is an amethyst, while the imp’s eye is an emerald. This brooch is clearly the most expensive item here, but something about it seems familiar. Knowledge: Nobility check from anyone seeing it. Items on the list above marked with an asterisk detect as magic to anyone using detect magic.
From the hatbox on the dresser, the swarm of flies begins to buzz around the room, their rest disturbed by the snooping. They're harmless, but definitely annoying.

Our Mysterious Benefactor
The hatbox's contents cause Corbyn to stare in open shock: Inside is the head of Zellara, the woman who told you about Lamm's whereabouts. She's clearly been dead for some time and garish makeup and perfume has been splashed on her dead face to give it some semblance of life. You shudder to think why Lamm would have done such a thing... At the bottom of the hatbox, next to the severed stump, is a Harrow deck, wrapped in a leather case and clearly an expensive set.
Paxs
Paxs peeks over Corbyn's shoulder to see what he is laughing at and gets sicks in the corner of the room.
After composing himself, "But we just saw her today, was that a ghost?
He decides he may not want to know the answer and goes to investigate the chest.

"It was not my intention to deceive you." Zelara appears in the small room where Lamm lived his foul life. "I did not lie to you. Lamm's thieves stole my Harrow deck, and when my son attempted to track it down, Lamm had him killed. I devoted my life to tracking him and when I confronted him here, he killed me. He cut off my head and kept it as some sort of sick memento and had my body fed to the alligator. I can only guess my connection with the Harrow deck allowed me to live on, in the deck itself. I am sorry that I did not tell you, but would you have accepted the information from a ghost?"

To the group, "I do not know what this oil is but the wand is an arcane wand of magic missiles and the oil will put a nice silvery sheen on weapons it coats for a time."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Zelara looks somewhat pained. "Well, that seems to be the rub. I thought when Lamm was dead I could rest, but I sense...unease in the air. Something is happening. I cannot rest, not yet. But I may be able to be of use to you. Place the object you wish identified on my deck and I may be able to help you identify them."
From outside of the Fishery, you hear the sound of voices raised and shouting.
Paxs
Paxs places the glass tube on the deck. "Guys do you hear that, lets grab this stuff, grab the deck so we can keep talking to Zelara and get out of here. I know he was a horrible person and what we did was sort of self defense, but I really do not want to explain why we were having to defend ourselves in his place."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
You gather the treasures, the Harrow deck and anything of value from Lamm's corpse and head back upstairs. The orphans are gone, along with several items from the Fishery. Outside, the docks are in an uproar. People are shouting, guards are standing nearby looking worried and in the distance, fires are burning. A trio of hippogriffs, ridden by the famed Korvosan Sable Company Marines, flies overhead, one of the birds dripping blood and feathers as it goes. Suddenly it gives a squawk and plummets from the sky, landing with a sickening and final thud on the paving stones nearby. Neither the rider nor bird move, and the other two Marines fly on, straight toward the castle.
A drunken man stumbles nearby, looking curiously at you as if shocked you're not drunk or shouting yourselves. "Ain'tcha heard? The King is dead! The Queen's taken over, the Chelish b!tch! Long live the Whore Queen!" He stumbles away, still shouting.
Some Korvosan history: King Eodred Arabasti II was an unremarkable king. He was a womanizer, but his frequent building of parks, roads and other public areas (usually named after himself) endeared him to the people, who saw him as bumbling but harmless. He married the much younger (and very attractive) Ileosa, a minor noblewoman from Cheliax, three years ago. Ileosa was not loved, since she was seen as an outsider and obviously a gold-digger. Now Eodred II is dead and his Queen has ascended the throne, known as the Crimson Throne of Korvosa. Long live the Queen!
The streets are in chaos. Clearly the death of the King has unearthed some long buried hostility toward the nobility and royalty, which have been seen as neglecting certain portions of Korvosa for too long.
What are you doing now?
Brim Stone
"That brooch...I know what that is! The brooch is a royal brooch, given to Queen Ileosa upon her marriage to the King, Eodred II. We can't sell it for risk of committing a crime. I believe there is a reward for returning this brooch. Should we return it to the Queen now or wait to see if it can grant us another advantage?"

"Excuse me, Queen? I just wanted to ask: are you happy your husband is dead? Wait, why are those guards surrounding me? No! I need my head..." THUNK!
Our Mysterious Benefactor
While the hippogriff twitches its last, the Marin is very much dead. However, before you can get close to him, a mob of people grab his body and hoist it over their heads, tearing chunks of clothing off it and shouting "Down with the Whore Queen!" A
Slumper
"Well I see we have 2 options, return it or throw it in the ocean... I don't want to be caught with it. Maybe the Queen will be excited to get it back?" Slumper looks around "Anyone seen Corbyn?"
