Yulantegoni focuses on the door and receives an overwhelming aura from each.
Torphrex leads the others as they try to open the doors in various combinations, but are met by each attempt with the same result of a flaring symbol of Pharasma before it fades and the stone sits unmoved.
Stigly the Divine Diviner
Stigly will grab the chime and proceed to the north door. knocking it against the door he will say
Come now Laknir face your mortality with fierce dignity. We all gotta die sometime........after you of course
GM Jol
As Stigly activates the chime, notes play out in a very particular pattern and the stone door to the north opens. Ahead a 60 foot hallway opens up into a further chamber just outside your darkvision. Inside the hallway you can see bodies wrapped in age-yellowed linens lying in alcoves on both sides of the corridor. Thick cobwebs hang from the ceiling and drape the walls of the crypt; everything is coated in a deep layer of dust.
Torphrex the Clever
Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
"Be alert! There is something, moving, like small skulls, in the floor at the end of the hallway!"
Yulantegoni
Is there any evidence suggesting the egg thieves went this way? Footprints in the deep layer of dust or anything that looks recently opened.?
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Laknir Kii
Trying not to make eye contact with Stigly, Laknir tries to search the hallway as well.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
I uhh, I would really prefer if you didn't keep saying that. Why would I go first anyway? I had quite thorough training on the surface.
GM Jol
As Torphrex points out the danger everyone is able to see skulls with eight legs crawling around the corridor. When Talnip encourages his allies to battle, the skulls move awkwardly some even seem to stop moving altogether as they shamble down the hallways.

Time to display the true power of the Mother of Monsters! Yulantegoni casts *Summon Monster as a spell like ability. She will summon a Dire Rat in flanking position of Torphrex.
The Eidolon will attempt to flank any that come for his master.

Damage Roll: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
If he feels one of his allies, better suited for combat, is ready to take over, he will take a 5' step back to let him pass and attack in turn.
What the hell with those 0 damage rolls?

Stigly the Divine Diviner
Stigly, while feeling brave, is no fool. Although he is relatively certain in what order the party members shall all die, it doesnt mean that he can't be incapacitated for an extended period before his eventual death.

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Stigly deftly bashes a skull spider thingy with his morningstar while taking a defensive posture, and screems
Ha, die you devil!!
de10mile
For his next act Stigly will again fight defensively and attack the nearest spider.
morningstar: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (9) - 3 = 6
Stigly groans in dismay as he whiffs against the spider.
No stigly, bad Stigly. Stigly must hit nasty skull spiders before they kill Laknir, not hit nice defenseless wall.
ac is at 23 whilst fighting defensively
Torphrex the Clever
Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Torphrex takes a 5' step back letting Laknir pass (his move action for round 1).
GM Jol
Stigly strikes out at the creature in front of him, landing a solid hit with his Morningstar. Torphrex is able to connect with the creature but does not deliver a fatal blow. As Torphrex steps aside to let Laknir enter the fray, Talnip takes the opportunity to level his crossbow and pierces the creature through it's bloated body.
Yet a fourth spider scurries up and looks for an opportunity to join the fight.

Laknir takes a lunge at the spider in front of him with his rapier, skewering the creature at the end of his blade. Yulantegoni shows off a remarkable display as a dire rat appears on the other side of the remaining two spiders. The dire rat crunches down on the unsuspecting monster and happily munches on the new snack.
The last remaining spider lunges at Stigly, but misses entirely. Stigly swings with his morningstar, but still determined to not die first he has a hard time connecting with the creature. He and Talnip both take a step back, weapons draw to lure the remaining creature in.

whooooo! Stigly so brave, but not so brave tat he be foolish and die before laknir.
Torphrex the Clever
Maybe Stigly threatened a critical?
GM Jol
Between Stigly's well placed blow and acid that sprays across the face, the spider is ground into an acidy pulp. Having time to survey the scene again, Yulantegoni is fairly sure there are no footsteps down this corridor other than the ones he and his friends recently made.
combat is over, man those guys were no match
Yulantegoni
Are we sure this is the way the egg stealers went? I do not see any sign of something passing through here. It seems odd doesn't it? She looks to her comrades for answers.
Her Eidolon stands ready for more attacks.
Laknir Kii
I couldn't tell you honestly. I'm hoping one of our allies is better at tracking than I am. One of the upsides to life on the surface is that I never really needed to track my own food or anything.
He readies an action to glare at Stigly the next time he mentions Laknir dying first.
Torphrex the Clever
Torphrex tries to identify if the egg stealers they are following passed thru here.
Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Survival Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Torphrex the Clever
Torphrex spits in the floor.
"Yulantegoni is right... it doesn't seem like anyone has passed over here in long years. Not passed on the previous room. Are we sure they came to this place at all?"
Torphrex the Clever
Torphrex doesn't seem very convinced, but nods and lets Talnip go forward.
Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

nothing magical in this corridor
As the group walks down the corridor and through the opening, you find yourselves on a stone bridge with elaborately carved railing arching 40 feet above the ground below. Underneath the bridge there is a inlaid spiral symbol recessed into the floor. Eight staircases lead up to a wide ledge from the floor that encircles the room 10 feet above the floor. On this ledge stand bronze doors to the east and west along with eight larger than life statues. These statues are evenly spaced around the room's circumference, seven carved from white stone, the eighth from black stone. Across the bridge stands another opening similar to the one you are currently standing in.
the statues are to far away to make out much detail from this height.

knowledge religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
This is it Laknir. Perhaps you should lead and we will follow. Yes, this is the place......
Stigly's voice trails off as he contemplates how his comrade will die.
He starts to murmur under his breath.
rats? No too small. It would have to be lots of rats. Perhaps zombies, but they are so slow. A trap. He wouldn't even see it coming
Torphrex the Clever
"Let me check for traps..."
Torphrex carefully checks the bridge and the closest of the staircases for traps.
Perception (Traps): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Laknir Kii
Laknir looks angry for just a moment. Then, his face turns No, no. Yes! Of course! Stigly you divine diviner! I understand now! He takes his place behind Torphrex.
Stigly the Divine Diviner
perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Stigly marches boldly, yet ready for more creepy crawlys to fight, onto the bridge. Come come nothing to worry about Laknir. See it is perfectly safe.
If only the poor fool knew that he doesn't get to choose the hour of his death. oo what a nasty fall that would be.
Stigly tosses a radish off the bridge and watches it crash against the floor beneath before scurrying away from the edge
Ha, Gravity. It's gravity for sure!!!
GM Jol
A solid plop comes from below as the radish strikes the ground below. Going across the bridge, and through the opening Stigly leads the procession another 40 feet before the hallway comes to a corridor running perpendicular to the one the group is currently in. To the right the group can see a door and what looks like a room that spills off around the corner. To the left a h allway streteches out 60 feet in front of them before coming to a four way intersection. 20 feet before the intersection there is a door on each side of the hallway.
Yulantegoni's dire rat friend, disappears back into the plan from which is was conjured as the group decides what to do.
map has been updated and should reflect the description. Hard to make out any details about doors from these distances.
