i am about as far through character creation as i can be without a yes/no from the GM regarding the Antipaladin variant and archetype.
also, additional question for GM: would Devan's Hellknights have an order/orders that is/are different from those presented in the Hellknight prestige class? If not, I will probably go with Order of the Nail

Arazni |

Hmm.... I'm not even sure that he would have Hellknights. That never really crossed my mind, but if he does, the Order of the Nail is fitting. Something to round up the peasants.
Can everyone see the google doc on the kingdoms at the top of the page, and the map? There's a lot of information in the Kingdoms of Flangrica document (am still working on it). Most of the major powers are in there.
Yes to the Antipaladin alternate. (Lawful Evil).

Arazni |

Yes, so long as you're Lawful Evil. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I hate adjudicating PVP. Usually if it gets so bad the player characters are attacking each other, the gods intervene. (not entirely in a DM-Fiat manner, but when epics battle, you get noticed)
Mostly said tongue in cheek (it was intended to be humorous). No offense intended.

Tenro |

ah yes, i tend not to PvP.
the one time i actually did was in an RL game, and i had an LE character, but he was attacked first by another player. so rather than face him head on, he teleported out and two weeks later killed the character with Trap the Soul.
oh, and i was in a gladiator game here, but we used nonlethal in the matches between players.

Quee Greenriver |

Stratos here!
Though not FULLY complete, allow me to present Quee Greenriver! Some of the hard crunch must be yet completed, but I believe his story is coming right along (it's in his background spoiler in the profile). Do let me know what you think of it!

Sanar "Sawtooth" Orchraul |

Tenro's submission, complete.
Sanar Orchraul is a highborn son of the prestigious House Orchraul in the court of Gilunaural. When in his standard dress, he adorns himself with finery befitting his station, to include the golden mask work by all true followers of Belial. Behind the mask his face is rather graceful, save the horns outlining the crown of his skull, a relic of ancient elven blood. In his spiked full plate armor, he is a sight to behold, particularly when wielding the glaive with the saw-toothed blade for which he was named.
Sanar was born high into the court under the rule of Devan, and has known no other life. He is a statesman by birth, but a warrior at heart. As such, he has been trained in the art of politics and intrigue, but he took to lessons of steel with far more zeal. While he greatly enjoys the fevered pitch of battle, he certainly doesn't mind taking in the pleasures due to one of his station. Living in Gilunaural is a good life, one he wants to keep, and one he is willing to fight for. He has moved up the ranks of the military, and has been taking increasingly more high-profile assignments in the hopes of gaining the eye of the Hellknight recruiters. It is his ultimate goal to become one of the Emperor's Chosen bodyguards.
His current mission has him somewhat out of his element, however. Traveling by caravan to escort a minor dignitary to the heart of neighboring Trevailaura, Sanar must now ingratiate himself with the elves of the nation. Playing nice was never really a strong point of his; he sees this, however optimistically, as a hand-delivered assignment personally tailored to groom him for more prestigious service.

Quee Greenriver |

We have an Emperor, elf.
So you do! I guess the "Great Kingdom of Gilunaural" is a bit of a misnomer now. Perhaps back when Quee was introduced to it, such a title was more appropriate!

Arazni |

Oh, yeah... Sorry about that. That's a translation error... In elven, it would be She~reila~gilunaural, which as a more direct translation, would be 'Large noble ruled place of golden might'. Since the campaign overall refers to Kingdoms of the Seven Continents, each realm is a 'kingdom' whether or not it actually is ruled by a monarch.
That being said, 'reila' is a unique form of the word, referring to a single lord or lady.
You see, since elves are so long-lived, they have adapted certain cultural mannerisms. For one thing, no elf of noble blood is supposed to be above another in station, but that's no longer the case. So there's a type of delicate protocol in when to call a lord a lord or a regent. Usually, spoken through inflection, or hand gestures can be used to emphasize the power of a lord. Lords and ladies of equal status, for example do not have to use the title Lord or Lady to speak to one another, but when addressing a Lord or Lady of higher status, must always do so. And then there's the title Regent. A person of low status may use the generic Regent to speak to someone of royal blood (anyone). Persons of noble blood use the title Regent to speak to the highest ranking noble. It's a little confusing, unless you happen to be somewhere between 200 and 300 years old, then the slight inflections have become natural. There are other situations when the title Regent can be used, but usually these are highly formal. In the Consel of Regents, for example, which acts like a representative council, everyone refers to everyone else by the title of Regent, with the presiding member being referred to as Lord or Lady Regent. Even in these cases, the Lord or Lady Regent may not be the most important figure of the council. But before I confuse the hell out of you all, I'll be quiet now.
Devan does sometimes refer to himself as Reshanilaur, or 'noble of many lands' which would translate to Emperor, so while not generally acceptable in elven society to call him so, there's no social faux-pas for doing so. Because he is roughly 950 years old, it would be permitted to call him Elder, or Wise Regent, but this custom seems to have been done away with in Gilunaural.

To our Players:
Please put a full stat block on your profile page, using bolds and italics as necessary, similar to the ones in the NPC Codex.
It's not necessary to have a full line separating the sections, five dashes on either side of DEFENSES, OFFENSE, STATISTICS, FEATS AND SPECIAL ABILITIES is acceptable.
You can look at some of my alts for clarification and examples. I know this is a little bit more work, but it helps me tremendously to be able to see everything about your character (description and backstory excluded) at a glance.
The Gameplay Thread will either be up tonight or tomorrow morning. Work wore me out.

Arazni |

Normally, Torcan, I don't allow players to edit their characters on the fly, without discussing it with me first. It makes the game difficult to moderate. I also have no idea what you've put your skill points into. The only thing you have on your profile is a list of skills for the Summoner class, with no modifiers.

Arazni |

Apologies for not posting today, everyone. I am still waiting for out 6th player to show up (either the original or the alt at this point), as I don't wish to exclude anyone who genuinely is interested in playing. I had massive headaches today after my real-life gaming session of I would have posted more.
Will continue on Sunday or Monday (regardless of whether or not the 6th member is present). When (or if) they show up, we can add them at that point.
