Appearance Female Gnome Oracle (Heavens) 1

Poppy whips her head around, utterly bewildered. She shoots Cho a confused glance, then gives the same look to Vega. Who's up there? An invisible monster? She shivers, but not from the cold.

Vega gets to the word "course" before the loud cracking sound of great leathery wings unfurling with a tremendous flap thunders through the chamber.

Round 1

Sapphira is moving before the sound finishes. "Iomedae above, lend me your Righteous Might!" she cries through the echos of the dragon's wing snapping. She flaps her powerful white wings propelling herself forward and across the cavern as she grows rapidly, doubling in size. Sapphira is now a twenty foot tall emerald behemoth. "Come and get it vile wyrm," she sneers at the ceiling. The Planetar brandishes her glittering fifteen foot blade in a high guard position ready to intercept the dragon should it try to pass her.

His hands trail light, and an image of a yin-yang forms from the trailing light before him, which then flows back into his body through his chest.

Vega moves into the chamber, hoping to draw it's ire. Now he looks up to the corner of the cieling where Sapphira indicated the invisible dragon perched. He points in that direction.

"You seal your own fate. So be it. We will not be barred by the likes of you!"

"LC, take cover," Ophelia orders rather abruptly as Sapphira engages with the invisible beast.

The Couatl doesn't object. He can certainly handle a bunch of dump, weak-willed giants, especially when protected by dozens of layers of magic. However, a giant dragon is something that he will have to exert extreme caution with. As such, the feathered serpent vanishes from sight and then flies straight up to the ceiling to watch.

Meanwhile, Ophelia decides to cast a favorite spell of hers (one that any conjurer loves really). The Sapphire Summoner launches herself from the throne on Cho's back and sails through the air right next to Gror. Using the direction that the Planetar is looking as an indicator, Ophelia promptly belts out a Glitterdust from her new sorcerer-like inner magic in hopes of revealing the dragon to all in the room, though she takes care to avoiding hitting Sapphira.

LC turns Invisible and flies straight up to the ceiling. The dragon probably wouldn't care about him with an angel and the Grorgoyle nearby.

Ophelia flies west and stops just before the square with the big 3. She then casts Glitterdust to where Sapphira is looking, though in such a way that she will miss the Planetar. Considering how huge the dragon is, she has a fair shot of hitting the thing with an area of effect spell.

Just using that spell to reveal the dragon. No SR!

Just need Gror and Dori's real actions. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow they won't do anything this round. The dragon is revealed by the glitterdust.

And with that he soars upward, pouncing onto the glittering outline of a dragon -- a bit amazed to find himself charging a dragon, but confident that he's up to it with his newfound form. Before he can connect with the Dragon, it's sparkly teeth rip into Gror's forearm, showing that the gargoyle can still bleed.

Gror attempts to return the favor, declaring "You've placed yourself on the side of evil. Now face Angradd's Judgement!" and swinging in with everything he's got...and then gets a grim, tense expression, cursing his arrogance as he sees how every one of his blows just glance off the dragon's hide, while it easily pierces his own stoney defenses. "为什么必须始终与刀尖?笔的威力在哪里?" Dori asks ducking her head back into the mouth of the tunnel. She chants briefly and a spell of protection against evil creatures pops up around her. She remains in the tunnel, floating up to crouch on the roof, totally obscured by her shadowy aura.

At the end of the somatic motions, Cho's eyes shed a warm illuminatio, and all becomes clear. "I see it."

Gripping upside down onto the icy ceiling is a massive white dragon. The creature probably stretches thirty feet from the tip of its nose to the end of its tail. Its wings are spread wide, and it's head bent over upside down, hissing at Sapphira. A dull red glow is leaking from between its scales, and out of its eyes, like the ruddy light given off by magma.

"LC, take cover," Ophelia orders rather abruptly as Sapphira engages with the invisible beast. The Couatl doesn't object. He can certainly handle a bunch of dump, weak-willed giants, especially when protected by dozens of layers of magic. Using the direction that the Planetar is looking as an indicator, Ophelia promptly belts out a Glitterdust from her new sorcerer-like inner magic in hopes of revealing the dragon to all in the room, though she takes care to avoiding hitting Sapphira. The golden cloud of glitter bursts forth from the empty air, lading on and coating most of the dragon. Its location is now clearly visible by the half a dragon shaped splash of golden glitter floating near the ceiling.

Gror smiles, Between Poppy and now this, I doubt I've seen so many sparkles in one place...but that's just the aid I needed to dive into action.

We need a way to turn the tables on this beast, but how?!?

The dragon laughs as the Grgoyle tickles it with his claws. "It'sss been centuries sssince a man last touched me like that, mrowww!" Its serpentine voice is mocking and full of venom. There is a massive hissing, sucking noise as the dragon inhales a deep breath. Then it exhales suddenly and violently, becoming visible to everyone in the same moment. A massive billowing cone of steam rockets forth from the dragon's maw, not unlike the geyser below. The cone engulfs Sapphira's head, all of the Chosen and LC equally as one whole half of the room is completely filled with superheated water vapor.

Gror somehow manages to flip up out of the way of the blast before any real harm can come to him. Meanwhile Dori flattens herself behind an icy protrusion on the ceiling which deflects the steam away from her. Sapphira is also quick to react, ducking out of the way. Her head appears to be a little singed, but she's none too worse for the wear. LC is up against the ceiling and has no where to go, and no resistance to heat like the others. Despite his best efforts, he gets second degree burns on much of his body. Blisters form and bubble up painfully under his scales as he cries out in pain. Poppy catches the worst of the dragon's fury. She's caught off guard by the sudden blast of steam, to which she has no resistance. Her her body is engulfed in the boiling cloud. She screams in pain as her eidolon shell is boiled alive by the heat. Huge clumps of her eidolon's pristine white fur slough off, along with patches of boiled skin. The rest of the Chosen feel the steam pass over them, but their eidolons have evolved to protect them from heat and they remain unharmed.

Begin Round 2

Sapphira growls, "You did not just burn my scalp!" as she springs back up from her crouch. She steps under the dragon to utilize Gror's distracting presence. The angel swings her sword in four lightning fast glittering arcs. Her blade rebounds off the dragon's hide four times with four loud CLANGs. "Inheritor damn it all!" she curses in frustration.

"Since when can white dragons breath steam?!" grumbles Ophelia as tosses up her arms to protect her face from the blast. Luckily, her eidolon armor absorbs the blow entirely. Her many decades of well-honed battle experience and fined elven senses then allow her to swiftly retaliate in turn.

As she rockets to the other side of the dark, icy room and ascends toward the ceiling to get a better vintage point, the tiny wizard's eyes blow a fierce white. The silver ring on her left hand begins to shimmer, and the conjurer snarls in some incomprehensible gibberish. Three seconds later, a familiar azata shimmers into existence.

It only takes Lily all of two looks around the battlefield to realize what has just happened. Without comment, she quickly draws her celestial harp. An instant later, she begins playing a soft but inspiring tune for the Chosen and their company.

Meanwhile, Lucero hisses in agony as the steam boils and blisters his scales. However, he manages to avoid the worst of it. Knowing that his contribution to the battle is going to be fairly limited, the feathered still nonetheless decides to do all he can. Using his Invisibility to his advantage, the Couatl quickly readies himself for a True Strike before flying as close to the far corner of the room as he can.

Ophelia moves to two squares north of the one with the three and flies right up to the ceiling. She then uses her arcane bond ability to use SMVI to call in Lily and invokes her Acadamae Graduate feat to make it a standard action.

Lily is summoned at the same square as Ophelia, though she would be on the ground below. The Azata uses Inspire Courage.

Huh. I thought that she should've been able to make it. These are ten foot squares, and LC has a 60 foot flight speed. I was counting the squares it would take him to get to the corner of the room. I think I forgot that second diagonals in Pathfinder are ten feet, though. However, where he is now works well enough.

Lucero hisses in pain as the white dragon takes a giant bite out of his tail. As he manages to get out of reach, the feathered serpent slaps himself mentally for assuming that it would not be able to see him. Ooooh. You meant 6 ten foot squares. That makes more sense now. I'm still measuring movement in 5' increments even though the squares are ten feet. I'll move him the rest of the way north.

A dragon this size is ancient. They can walk on any icy surface, create fog and cast spells as powerful sorcerers. Normally white dragons are vulnerable to fire, and breathe cones of icy mist.

"நாங்கள் தரையில் தேவை!"

Celestial:
"We need it on the ground!"

Vega does not seem to recall who understands Celestial, as his words seem directed at everybody.

He then stares down the now visible dragon. His chants another mantra, and Vega's movement become increasingly more graceful. He follows it up with an impressive Kata, one that seems to be as much flash as substance (or perhaps a bit more flash than normal). The Kata is accentuated with precise and powerful thrusts that seem to tear the air asunder like bolts of lightning. In the few very short reprieves to this dance of martial arts, Vega speaks intense words at the dragon.

"Your time has come. Your fate is sealed. The Celestial host empowers us! You will crumble before it."

Vega has moved closer to the Dragon, and his Kata ends with a final thrust of his right hand towards the Dragon, palm up and open with his fingers outstretched towards it like a knife. The thrust sends an almost visible shockwave through the air towards the dragon, shifting hairs and cooling scales. Vega then curls his fingers up at an angle as if to beckon the dragon come to him. Vega's eyes are intense. They are convinced of the truth of his words, and convey perfectly the implications they have for this dragon.

"Let us see what you have got."

Moving closer (in 5' increments): S>S>S>SW>SW. If I need to move S again to get within 30' of it (as it is 25' up as well), I will. Vega has more than enough movement to get where he needs to be.

Can I touch Sapphira from where I am? Given that we're both in melee with the dragon, and I'm large and she's huge, it seems reasonable...but I'm not sure where she is on the map.

Assuming Gror can touch her,

Gror lays a clawed paw on Sapphira's shoulder, saying "Angradd, share your righteous judgement with Sapphira, agent of Iomadae." and then flies a bit out of the dragon's reach.

Sapphira is currently a 15' cube, as is the dragon. Since the ceiling is 40' that leaves 10' of air in between them. She's directly under the dragon at the moment, thus not seeing her. Gror charged the dragon, so the top of his 10' cube is touching the dragon and the bottom Sapphira. In other words, yes, you can touch her.

Need Dori and Cho's actions

Squinting through the steam, seeing his allies struggling to strike the damnable dragon, Cho'ankai realizes the power inherent in its scales. While the others battled with flesh and steel, with weapons forged of mortal hands and great magic, Cho'ankai realized another path was available to him. "Ophelia," Cho rumbles, "you will need to walk, now." Tendrils reach up and wrap around Ophelia as he crouches, gently lifting her out of the throne and lowering her to the ground beside him.

With that done, the massive three-headed hound tilts his heads back and lets loose a throaty howl that fades into a droning chant of three-part harmony.
"Ancient spirits of the blizzard, transform this verdant form, make of this twinned spirit the wrath of winter's icy kiss, make him snow and ice and the winds themselves!" Mossy roots twist and writhe in the air, tracing luminous sigils around Cho'ankai's verdant form. The druid's eyes shut and his body begins to billow with clouds of ice particles. Breathing in deeply, Cho'ankai exhales a loud howl as his body explodes apart in a haze of whirling snow, becoming a living blizzard that at times takes the shape of his synthisized form.

Now little more than a living blizzard, Cho'ankai's howl is hollow and distant, sounding as though it echoed from some deep chasm.

Dori didn't like that blast of steam, and casts greater evolution surge, granting herself immunity fire, and large size.

Round 2

As LC flies past the dragon lunges forward, clearly able to see him, and bites down hard onto his tail, breaking several vertebra there and shredding flesh.

Lucero hisses in pain as the white dragon takes a giant bite out of his tail. As he manages to get out of reach, the feathered serpent slaps himself mentally for assuming that it would not be able to see him. With just the burns from the steam, he begins debating whether to heal himself or continue with his plan to weaken the wyrm. Meanwhile, Ophelia begins recalling everything she knows about white dragons. Namely that they are weak to fire, breathe ice, and are powerful spellcasters. This one looks to be ancient, and should be able to walk on ice like a spider and breathe fog as well.

Poppy recoils in pain as blistering steam blasts her eidolon. "OOOOOWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAHHHHHH!" she wails. She glares menacingly at the sparkles near the ceiling through her burning eyelids. "HOW RUDE!" she bellows. She retreats behind Vega, avoiding a strong urge to burst into tears. She collects her emotions, then scrunches up her boiling muzzle and begins to stomp her hooves aggressively. She snarls a quick prayer. "Snap, sizzle, fizzle, fry, thanks for the lightning, friends from the sky!" Electricity begins to crackle up from the ground under her. She stomps more and more furiously, and the electricity forms into little lightning bolts. With each, stomp, the bolts grow progressively larger. Finally, she leaps three feat in the air, and slams her hooves down on the ground as hard as she can. As her rainbow hooves connect with the icy floor, massive bolts of blazing white lighting slam into the dragon's glittering form. They skitter over the reptilian, singing its scales in several places.

"நாங்கள் தரையில் தேவை!" Vega cries. He does not seem to recall who understands Celestial, as his words seem directed at everybody. He then stares down the now visible dragon. His chants another mantra, and Vega's movement become increasingly more graceful. He follows it up with an impressive Kata, one that seems to be as much flash as substance (or perhaps a bit more flash than normal). Vega's eyes are intense. They are convinced of the truth of his words, and convey perfectly the implications they have for this dragon. "Let us see what you have got."

The dragon appears to actually be a bit frightened. Either this man truly believes he can defeat her, or he's insane.

Gror lays a clawed paw on Sapphira's shoulder, saying "Angradd, share your righteous judgement with Sapphira, agent of Iomadae." and then flies a bit out of the dragon's reach.

Squinting through the steam, seeing his allies struggling to strike the damnable dragon, Cho'ankai realizes the power inherent in its scales. Dori's shadow grows in size as she moves out of the tunnel and flys straight up, to hover near the ceiling, and across from the dragon, she angles her climb just enough to stay out of the white dragon's range.

The wyrm decides to deal with the Planetar cramming her into the corner first. She draws back her long neck and opens her mouth wide. An aura of menace fills the chamber. The Chosen feel as if they are field mice, and the shadow of a diving hawk has just fallen over them. Some of them succumb to the sheer terror of facing such a magnificent and powerful beast, and become shaken. The dragon's head whips down with lightning speed, her whole body weight behind it. This is no love nip like the bites they've seen so far, this is the full wrath of the ancient wyrm. Sapphira is crushed to her knees under the weight of the blow, as the dragon's man-sized maw snaps down on her shoulder hard enough to splinter celestial bones like they are twigs. Sapphira screams in pain and disbelief, a shocked expression on her face. The dragon gives its mighty jaws a twist to drive home the hurt, and then withdraws its neck to slither across the ceiling towards more prey.

The planetar is also an ancient and powerful being, one who can fight through the pain. Unwilling to let the evil lizard harm her charges, she manages to shove her holy greatsword into the pit of the dragon's rear leg. With a grunt she drives the celestial greatsword home.

End of Round 2

Begin Round 3

"Get back here you scaly b@@$!!" Sapphira curses, withdrawing her blade from its temporary sheathe in the dragon's flesh. She steps forward and takes four more swings the at wyrm. Her first blow takes advantage of the breach she opened in the dragon's scales behind its rear right claw, and she slices the stab wound wide open. The dragon shrieks as torrents of its blue blood rain down on Vega, soaking him. "You," Sapphira says chopping the dragon open again. "Will," another chop that deflects off the dragon's armor, "Not," she continues her blade clanging off the dragon's scales a fourth time. "HURT THEM!!!!!" she shrieks.

By the time Sapphira is finished, the dragon's leg is a mangled mess. Shattered scales and gouts of blue blood are dripping and raining down to the chamber's floor below as the dragon whips its head around shrieking in insane fury.

Now considerably smaller than before, Cho'ankai's swirling body of snow widens its quadrupedal stance as all three heads quickly let loose a great and mighty howl. While it's hard to see with its ghostly, swirling form of snow and ice the fangs on Cho'ankai's heads all elongate, his claws too become vicious talon-like things. A moment after, Cho'ankai implodes in on himself in a swirl of wind, only to re-emerge beside the dragon in mid-air, claws lashing and striking wildly.

Cho's three heads bite into dragonflesh, inflicting ghostly injuries below its scales where blood blisters inside of muscle tissue and bruises are hidden by rough icy hide interlaced with accursed molten streaks. Cho's claws too seem to rip and tear at the dragon, but visibly do not look as though they inflict damage. Instead, the dragon's very spirit is assailed by the shaman's spectral form of swirling snow.

Poppy breathes heavily as the last zaps of lightning under her hooves subside. She glances quickly behind her and giving Lucero a weak smile. A real couatl, don't forget! You're so lucky! She turns back to face the action, but immediately wishes she hadn't as she sees the dragon's terrible jaw clamping down on Sapphira's jade shoulder. Her smile contorts into an expression of sheer panic. Poppy whimpers and lowers her ears. She stares at the ground as her tail hangs limply. She sees the body language of several of her companions change under the effect of the same terror.

She watches Cho instantly appear in the room, the druid now an impossible mass of snow and wind. The extraordinary sight jolts Poppy back into her right mind. Help them, silly! She takes a few steps toward the action and begins to whip her tentacle-tail around in circles. Instead of saying a prayer, she starts to giggle. Her tail whirls around faster and faster as her giggles grow louder. She shrieks with laughter as a soothing silvery purple mist floats out of her horn. Her laughter ends as the mist settles around the heads of several of her comrades, then disappears.

Gror hears the dragon roar and feels crestfallen. What was I thinking? I’m no match for this thing -- Angradd, I’m failing you. His plan to continue buffing has been complicated by the massive dragon following him. Faced with the likelihood of getting bit if he casts again, he decides to change tactics. He concentrates briefly on his claws, praying silently for Angradd to give him greater mastery with them.

Just as he’s bracing himself to attack, he feels Poppy’s spell wash over him, helping him regain his confidence. Bolstered by that and Lily’s song, Gror nods gratefully toward Poppy and the Azata and then launches himself back onto the dragon, his hasted claws in a blur of motion. The first three swings fail to get through it’s armored hide but Gror persists, shouting ”I will not fail!” as his last two attacks finally strike home, enabling him to rend scales and flesh from the Dragon’s hide.

You're totally right, I just looked up Rend and there was even a blurb from JJ regarding that very thing. You learn something new every day! That also means the rend wouldn't have gotten the bonus from Power Attack or Holy.

Female Elf Wizard (Conjurer) 12 || Summoner (Synthesist) 12

"Do you really think you can scare me, heathen?!" Lucero hisses angrily as he plants himself against the icy ground, slithers over to look at his enemy straight in the eye, and bears his large fangs. "We outnumber you nine to one! You can't fight us all at once!"

To prove his point, a small black ball of energy rapidly materializes in his mouth, and with a flick of his touch, Lucero launches it right at the white dragon. Backed by his True Strike and inspired by Lily's gentle song, Lucero effortlessly powers his Enervation straight through the beast's spell resistance and drains a few levels of life from her being.

"Make that ten to one," remarks Ophelia with a bored yawn as she snaps her fingers.

A second later, a giant gold dragon bursts in through the eastern wall, sending icy debris flying everywhere. He is far greater in size than anyone else present in the room, and his shimmering golden scales radiate nothing but sheer power. His piercing white eyes quickly settle on Ophelia as if expecting orders.

"Kill that little lizard over there, Paarthurnax; I've always a pair of white dragonscale boots," Ophelia says casually as she points a finger toward their enemy.

The golden dragon bows and then with an earthshaking roar, "Paarthurnax" hurls himself straight at his lesser counterpart. Seconds before contact, he envelops her in a spiral of nova blue fire (one that seems to miss everyone that Ophelia would label an ally) before smashing a great claw against her face. Despite the sheer audacity of Ophelia's illusion, the white dragon falls for it hook, line, and sinker; she starts screaming in perceived pain as this much greater creature prepares to burn it alive. She genuinely believes that a great wyrm golden dragon just answered this tiny little ball of light's commands.

I can't believe that worked! Ophelia giggles in her head in the same manner as a certain pony gnome would.

"...I love it when this girl summons me," Lily muses a bit nervously as she continues playing her harp. Firmly on the floor and well out of the ceiling-clinging dragon's range, she quickly slithers over to her serpentine brother and begins healing his wounds. With some minor concentration, she is able to fix most of Lucero's tail wound.

White Dragon Will Save against Ophelia's Permanent Illusion DC 24: 1d20 + 21 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 21 - 2 - 2 = 19

Lucero moves east, east, and south (the square next to Poppy) and then uses Enervate on the dragon.

Ophelia casts Permanent Image. No SR. The white dragon failed her (?) save, so she (I think it's a she based on the way it spoke to Gror) genuinely thinks that Ophelia just called in a great wyrm gold dragon and casually ordered it to kill her.

Lilly takes a five foot step northeast and casts Cure Serious Wounds on LC.

Vega continues to glare at the dragon, his expression still stern from the lambasting he gave it just moments ago. The vision of Vega standing there gazing up, covered in the blue gore of draconic blood, is either horrendously comical, or absolutely terrifying, for he pays virtually no mind to the freshly spewed blood upon him. All he gives it is a quick shake of his shoulders to spray some of it off of him before beginning yet another mantra chant and kata. This one is familiar, though some of the words and movements are slightly different, slightly less complex. Upon finishing, black feathery wings burst out from his back, giving him the appearance of a dark half couatl half man thing, and sending more of the dragon's gore off his body and flying about the room.

"You are foolish to ignore me, beast. Soon, it shall all be over."

Vega's feathered black wings tuck in slightly as he springs forwards with serpent-like agility. His legs, invisible under his flowing, snake-like robes (indeed, his legs in this form likely don't even exist, and the cloth tail that forms his lower body likely is his actual lower body), seem to undulate within the layers of strange cloth that slither below and behind him. The cloth-tail quickly coils then straightens again, acting like a spring to send Vega in a bounding leap straight up into the air. Shortly after, his wings unfurl once more and take over, preventing him from descending back to the ground, and instead propelling him ever upwards towards the dragon above.

Vega's face is hard and determined. He gazes directly up as his new wings thrust him closer to his target. Despite the dragons efforts to bite down the ever approaching monk, Vega deftly brushes the beasts maw aside, avoiding the dragons razor teeth as he continues to ascend. Still holding to the hope of forcing it to the ground where all of his companions can better deal with - or even find cover from - the dragon, Vega does not continue going straight up towards it. After several feet of purely vertical ascent, Vega starts to fly at a slight angle backwards, eventually bringing him beside the dragon. In this spot, the only place for the dragon to go that is not through him or one of his companions, is to go directly down.

Now nearly level with the dragon's head, Vega simply hovers and shakes his head disapprovingly.

"You are a weed. I am the trowel that will route you from the ground, then toss what's left of you into the compost."

Now that I think about it, he could have simply done a standing high jump and gotten to the same spot (the dice rolls would all be the same (for the same thing and in that same order), but he'd only reach 5' in height and fly straight up the entire way instead. Female Elf Wizard (Conjurer) 12 || Summoner (Synthesist) 12

This revised post takes place between LC and Lily's actions.

"Actually, I think you miscounted," nonchalantly remarks Ophelia to Lucero as the Sapphire Summoner begins calling in something absolutely big.

The elf claps her hands together and stares right at her much larger foe. Much like Lucero, Ophelia is not quite fazed by the sight or presence of this creature. She knows a lot about the species, particularly about how white dragons are by far the weakest of the entire draconic race. Her mind flashes back to a prior battle with such a beast during her adventuring years. Despite being rather old and supposedly mighty much like the entity before her, it had barely been able to fight a heavily wounded Janus without getting chunks of its hide ripped off.

Perhaps a bit... eager to prove herself (or put this dragon in its place), Ophelia surges extra arcane power into her otherworldly call for aide, and does she ever reap the rewards. Three seconds later, her summons come pouring into the room en masse. Lantern Archon after Lantern Archon - all of Josiah's finest - begin warping into existent, and they begins lining themselves up around the enemy. One by one, they begin to flare up the inner lights.

Ophelia quickly flies over to her army and begins inspecting her troops.

"Fire at will, boys," commands Ophelia as she dramatically turns around and points a tiny finger toward the only dragon in the room.

The legions of heaven obey, and a chorus of divine, heavenly light comes crashing down on the white dragon.

Round 3

"Get back here you scaly b&&&@!" Sapphira curses, withdrawing her blade from its temporary sheathe in the dragon's flesh.

Artaregilus screams as he shreds her right shoulder down to the bone, just below the wing joint.

Now nearly level with the dragon's head, Vega simply hovers and shakes his head disapprovingly. "You are a weed. I am the trowel that will route you from the ground, then toss what's left of you into the compost."

"Actually, I think you miscounted," remarks Ophelia nonchalantly to Lucero as the Sapphire Summoner begins calling in something absolutely big. The elf claps her hands together and stares right at her much larger foe. Much like Lucero, Ophelia is not quite fazed by the sight or presence of this creature. "Fire at will, boys," commands Ophelia as she dramatically turns around and points a tiny finger toward the only dragon in the room.

The legions of heaven obey, and a chorus of divine, heavenly light comes crashing down on the white dragon. The dozens of beams lance into the already badly wounded dragon, burning ragged holes through its thick hide. The smell of charred flesh fills the room along the with dragon's continued shrieks.

Ophelia clutches her tiny fist and shakes it dramatically at the white dragon. "We have her now!" she proclaims over the roar of her archon army's laser barrage.

Dori, now flying near the ceiling, casts a spell. The ceiling the dragon is clinging to shimmers slightly as it becomes covered in grease, or at least a ten foot square of it under one limb. The dragon doesn't seem to have any issue with the grease. Dori then shifts a few feet south.

The dragon sees that it won't last much longer under a barrage of celestial fire. Scrambling for options it assumes a defensive posture, muttering a spell and gesturing with one claw. A massive wall of ice springs up from floor to ceiling, splitting the Chosen in half and shielding the dragon from most of the hated archons. The sound of Lily's harp is suddenly cut off as well for the Chosen on the dragon's side of the wall. They can hear only its ragged hissing and the dripping of its blood raining down on Sapphira and the floor below.

Round 4

Sapphira is undaunted by the wall of ice. "Getting desperate are we?" she taunts as her blade snicks out in four more rapid slashes at the dragon above her. Her first blow takes advantage of an opening to completely slice off the dragon's previously mangled rear leg.

"Figures that a coward like her would try to delay the inevitable," murmurs Ophelia as she watches the wall of ice erect in front of her. She shrugs and says, "Well, why try to break this thing down when I can just go right through it? Lily, Archons, gather around. LC, chill here with Poppy."

The Couatl gives his partner a nod and stays put.

Ophelia flies to the center of her southern archon cluster, and each one of those five quickly makes contact with her. The three stray archons away from the shimmering elf quickly float over. Lily simply continues to play her harp while she reaches over and wraps her long, serpentine tail around Ophelia's tiny wrist.

The shimmering elf's eyes flash nova white, and a second later, the Sapphire Summoner and all of her called celestials are on the other side of the barrier. Lily's gentle but inspiring music quickly fills the air once more as the azata smiles in anticipation of what is to come.

"Sup," remarks Ophelia as she waves casually to the white dragon, who lets out a very nervous gulp.

The three archons that had to move to get to Ophelia are slightly disoriented from all the movement and only manage to get a single shot in. However, each one hits their target, leaving three scorching marks on the ancient white wyrm's face and causing their foe to roar in agony. Meanwhile, rest then quickly fire all of their rounds with the last lantern archon getting an absolutely devastating shot on the white dragons' eye. Collectively, their massive barrage of celestial light manages to melt the creature's head into a distorted parody of its former self and thus kills it outright.

After moving so that she touches the soutern cluster of archons, Ophelia uses her Dimension Steps class ability to transport her army over the wall. The text explicitly says she can take as many willing creatures as she wants provided she still has enough feet. She is taking 10 creatures total (herself included) about ten feet. 10*10 = 100 feet used out of 360 total.

Three archons have to move to get to Ophelia, so they only get one shot.

What is this game?:I will be running the Witchwar Legacy, a Paizo published adventure module for 17th level characters, with the twist that you will be part of an elite team of gestalt synthesist summoners gathered and formed specifically to take part in the events of the adventure. It will also be part optimization challenge as your characters will only be 12th level. I'm going for a super-hero team feel here. You were normal adventurers now suddenly given huge power and responsibility by immortal forces that you only partially understand.

Adventure Background:
Half a millennium ago, the reign of Queen Tashanna of Irrisen drew near its end, and the time approached for her to abdicate her throne and abandon Irrisen—and even Golarion—for other worlds and dimensions. Tashanna, however, chose a different course. Rather than give up her throne and the kingdom she had so carefully nurtured for nearly a century, she sought to depose her own mother, Baba Yaga, and retain her rulership of Irrisen. After years of research, she was finally able to locate the Torc of Kostchtchie, an artifact containing the mortal soul of the Demon Lord of Giants and Cold. Knowing of Kostchtchie’s hatred for Baba Yaga, Tashanna used her possession of the torc to convince the demon lord to ally with her in a rebellion against Baba Yaga. This short but bloody rebellion became known as the Witchwar.

Unfortunately, Tashanna underestimated Baba Yaga’s personal power. The Old Crone had created both Kostchtchie and the torc, and possessed the means to undo them. Baba Yaga first faced Kostchtchie and savaged him with her magic, sending him fleeing to Iobaria to lick his wounds while her loyalists decimated his giant forces. The Queen of Witches then turned her attention to Tashanna and quickly defeated her rebel forces as well, capturing her daughter and ignobly parading her before her own defeated troops.
Baba Yaga executed every one of Tashanna’s followers and created a huge magical necropolis wherein she interred Tashanna’s defeated army and purportedly the deposed witch queen herself, along with the magical torc that led to her downfall. Known as the Veil of Frozen Tears, this hidden necropolis, filled with traps of the Old Crone’s devising and foul guardian spirits, remained inviolate for 5 centuries—until now.

Now Queen Elvanna, Fourteenth Daughter of Baba Yaga, nears the end of her own reign over Irrisen and faces the uncertain future of her sister-queens who have gone before her. She hopes to hedge her bets with the possession of a powerful artifact, such as the Torc of Kostchtchie. To this end, she has discovered the location of the Veil of Frozen Tears and sent mercenaries to penetrate its wards in order to recover the torc for herself. But the dangers of the frozen necropolis are manifold, and none of her hirelings have yet returned from their quest. A side effect of their meddling, however, is that some of the necropolis’s wards have been breached. Kostchtchie is now aware of the location of the tomb and Elvanna’s efforts to reclaim his torc. Remembering well the humiliating and painful results of the last time someone possessed his torc, the demon lord has sent his own agents to bring it to him. These two factions are heading for a confrontation over the hidden necropolis, and woe to those who get in the middle.

Your In:
Whatever your character would normally be doing gets interrupted by the following:
With a flash of bright white light a lithe and beautiful nude woman with skin the color of marble appears before you, hovering upon powerful white wings and radiating a sense of serenity. "Fear not mortal, I mean you no harm." she says in your native tongue. "My name is Mariah. I am an Archon of Iomedae, The Inheritor." Her voice is like beautiful music, pure and without fault. She carries a long thin gleaming silver trumpet that is covered in swirling, natural-looking patterns. "I am here because your deeds are known to us. My mistress bids me invite you to take part in mission of dire importance. Events have been set in motion that if not stopped, will lead to a terrible evil being unleashed on Golarion. We have prepared a gift for you that will make you stronger than you've ever been before, hopefully strong enough to avert disaster. My commander awaits us, with answers for your questions. Time is of the essence, will you come with me?" Her chest-length, midnight black curls wave gently in an unseen wind, as she extends one perfect hand out towards you, a look of urgency in her iridescent blue eyes.

Character Creation Rules:

Level: 12 Gestalt
Point Buy: 20
Races: Core+Featured
Alignment: Any non-evil (good characters strongly preferred)
Classes: You MUST gestalt with synthesist summoner at every level. Your other class(es) can be any combination of anything Paizo. No 3PP.
HP: Max at first, half+1 after that. Half+1 for all eidolon hit die. (ie. d8 gives you 5 (4+1))
Feats: No leadership
Traits: 2
Gold: 140,000 GP (No crafting other than consumables)
Firearms: Guns everywhere. Keep in mind that RAW, rapid reload does nothing for advanced firearms. That's how we'll be running it.

Create your character as a gestalt, however when writing your background treat it as if you didn't have your summoner levels. You will get them at the beginning of the game. Like getting super powers and becoming a super hero.

What I am looking for in a player:
People who can commit to post 1/day during the week (and hopefully on weekends) for potentially the next 6-9 months while we play through the adventure. I prefer experienced PBPers, but I will consider people new to PBP if they show that they can follow instructions. Good, interesting writing is essential. PBP is a slooooow medium for gaming, the only thing that makes it fun is taking the time to write well, and really RP your character. You should also have a working knowledge of Golarion, it's lore and history. Depending on interest, I will be taking five or six players. I will attempt to go for a balanced party (arcane, divine and trapfinding covered if at all possible). If during gameplay you fail to post regularly, your character will do nothing. If you disappear for a week+ with no explanation, expect to be removed from the game and replaced.

My GMing style:
I use Google Drive to put up maps for combat. I will roll initiative for everyone, then run combat in initiative blocks. The highest roller for the party and each type of monster will set that block's initiative count. Then player actions will occur in posting order. I will put the monster's essential stats in my profile, so you can resolve your own actions (AC, saves, CMD, AOOs etc.).

I try to follow the rules as written as closely as possible. If you make a mistake that I see, I will correct you. If I make a mistake, please correct me and point out a rules reference. I will gladly fix mistakes. As far as flavor text/fluff goes I usually follow the rule of cool. Tone wise, I go for gritty and mature. Killing monsters involves lots of blood and guts and mental trauma.

My other games for reference:
My Worldwound Sandbox game ~1700 posts, doesn't include previous threads that have been abandoned/consolidated.

My Carrion Crown game ~1700 posts

My crazy Conan the Barbarian Meets Real World Zombie Apocalypse game ~600 posts

My completed Crypt of the Everflame game 851 posts, inactive.

What you need to apply:
You should create an alias for your character. It needs to have your complete mechanical crunch, a character background and a description of your character's appearance and personality. Bonus points for finding/drawing a reference picture. The more grounded your character is in Golarion the better, also remember that you're one of the more powerful people around. You should have a background that reflects your status as a higher level character.

I also want an in character writing sample that shows how your character reacts to the "Your In" paragraph above, and demonstrates your style a little.

Example Alias from one of my characters.

Recruitment will stay open until Sunday July 14th, noon GMT+8 (that's midnight Saturday the 13th in EST). I will only leave recruitment open longer if there are not enough acceptable applications by that date.

Dotting. Should have a character put together in a few hours I think.

Definitely interested, sounds like an awful lot of fun.

I'll work up a concept tomorrow, not too sure just what yet, but I am well steeped in Golarion lore.

Sovereign Court

Definitely interested - I will tentatively put together a NG Half-Elven Alchemist(Trap-breaker/Vivisectionist), a freedom-fighter, Fetchling sympathiser, and folk hero from Nidal.

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. Will have something up soon.

EDIT: A few quick questions.

-All of us will be able to afford the Large evolution; is this campaign going to have significant indoor components, making that evolution impractical? By significant I mean can't be circumvented by a few 'Reduce Person' spells.
-If so, how do you feel about some sort of Ring of Reduce Person? Paying more to have it work through the Summoner's Share Spells ability (another GM priced it at 7000).
-One question I was never quite able to resolve- when gestalted and fused, do we get our Eidolon's BAB or do we add in a full-BAB class? I ask because the Monk's BAB and flurry is worded differently to a Synthesist's fused BAB.

Yar!

Interesting, I think I may throw my hat in as well. I have a few character ideas floating around already... OH MAN now that I'm thinking about it I have several character's I'd love to play again!

Vega Surtova, pacifist traveling monk (Ki Mystic/Four Winds/Sacred Mountain) who used non-lethal attacks unless absolutely necessary, is a gardener by trade, and is heavily inspired by Ip Man. The pictures I used for him last time I played him were of Donny Yen playing Ip Man.

Nicholas (aka: Bots), a multiclassed Rogue Gunslinger and natural goofball, heavily inspired by Vash the Stampede (aka The Humanoid Typhoon) from Trigun, using pics of Vash himself for him last time I played him.

Attila, sexy Varisian Pilgrim/Gypsy Harrower (Cleric of Wicca/Fate/Moon + Harrower PrC), who focused on fortune telling with Harrow Cards (I own a deck, and had lots of fun mixing the mechanics with actual in game fortune telling for both flavorful and mechanical boons to future events) and is a naturally gifted dancer (often mixing exotic weapons with his dancing, bladed scarf, urumi, whip, etc). I used a variety of Johnny Depp pics for him.

... those are probably the three at the top of my list of existing characters I made that didn't get nearly enough play time and would like to bring back.

*ponders some more*

~P

Everyone - No custom magic items.

Arkwright - It's all indoor. However, the indoor is giant sized. Shouldn't be too much of an issue. As for BAB, you use whichever is better. So if you were a fighter 12/synthesist 12 your BAB would be 12. A wizard 12/synthesist 12 would have +9 while fused and a +6 while unfused. If you have multiple classes gestalted with synthesist you add them all up like a multiclass character would and then compare it to the synth and use whichever is better.

Should I make an effort to construct him to be relatively effective when not fused to his eidolon?

Yar!

I'd hope (or at least, I'll be building my) characters to be effective without being synthed with their Eidolon. The premise of the adventure above (from what I've gathered) seems to be that you were originally just your non-summoner class until this event occurred, and then you were suddenly bestowed the gestalt. So it would make sense to be effective as non-synthed (otherwise, how did your character survive to get to level 12 in the first place).

Otherwise, everyone may as well dump all physical stats to 7 and use those points to up your mental stats, as they (physical stats) will never be used unless something prevents you from Synthing... and those things to exist)

Though I could be wrong, I'm not DM Jelani.

~P

You know what? I'm going to anyway. What is the point of having a soldier who can't fight?

It's up to you how much you invest in your non-synth half. I'm not going to penalize people who build their characters with the synth half in mind all along. They were selected specifically because they'd be good for this procedure. They may have been mediocre 12th level characters, but they would be excellent as gestalts. Someone like a spellcaster might just have a bad str or dex anyway. Basically, do what you want. This is a level 17 module, and I'm not going to hold back.

Everyone - One thing to note, the way I rule it, you use your character's Con score to determine your bonus HP to your class level hit dice, not your ediolon's. So it's a bad idea to dump Con. Str and dex however...-shrug- Depends on if you want to be a fish out of water if you loose your "suit". Also, you will have hero points, forgot to mention that. 3 unless you take feats for more.

Ok building a chaotic good goblin barbarian feral gnasher when I wake up. I think he will be interesting enough, and fun. Fear my bitey goodness.

Have an idea for thiss but no chance to get submission in on time

On vacation till the 17th and minimal internet till then

bummer

Oooohhhh... I got a halfling ninja in a small-sized eidelon rattling around my head. Will put some more thought to it. :D

Sounds interesting, my first thoughts are a witch.

Name: Enkidu Noneson, First Sword of Andoran
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Paladin
Alignment: LG

In Summary:
Captain America! Thought this could be fun. Planning to have Enkidu based firstly on Captain America, and secondly on this quite excellent quote- "Imagine the worst thing that's ever happened to you. Now imagine that it's not just happening to you, but to everyone you care about. That's kind of what evil feels like."

"Blaugh! That sounds unbearable! Why would ANYONE want to become a paladin?!"

"So others don't have to."

Backstory:
Enkidu's life and memory began as one of Cheliax's many slaves, servant to one of the lesser nobles. He was told by the family that his parents had abandoned him, a half-blood, and because of that he was worth less than dirt. Believing them, and being given constant back-breaking work, Enkidu entered the lowest part of his life- treated as less than nothing, a slave, and believing that was all he deserved. However, among the noble's other servants, a small family of halflings took pity on him. Quietly evading or pretending to misunderstand the nobles' instructions, the halflings protected Enkidu, gave him food and drink when the noble's whims dictated that he should starve, and told him stories of different lands, of different times. Partially in return, Enkidu stood up for the family when the other servants or street-urchins or thugs would pick on the family. And when the halfling family unearthed enough information to pay for rescue by the Bellflower Network, they took Enkidu with them.

The trip to safety, to Andoran, was grueling and the family and Enkidu often came within a gnat's wing of death, avoiding slavers and hellknights, robbers and wild animals. Near the end of the journey they happened upon a small abandoned barn where, inside, a man was being horribly tortured by men wearing Chelish colors. The halfling family, concerned for their children, hurried on. Enkidu grabbed a fence post and ran in, striking one of the men in the side. The man turned, laughed, and sliced at Enkidu with his blade, biting him deep in the side, sending Enkidu almost to the floor. As his companions continued torturing the screaming man, Enkidu's tormentor raised his blade. Begging for the strength to protect the stranger, Enkidu suddenly felt the raw aura of darkness and evil in his tormentor. Gripping his pole, he roared and drove it up under the man's chin, the faintest aura of white light surrounding it as it blasted into his brain. His friends turned, furious, and the tortured man suddenly went silent, grabbed a sword from the belt of one of his torturers and slew the rest before they could turn around.

Standing, the man scraped the blood and dirt of days of torture from his skin, lent against the table and asked if Enkidu was alright. The youth burst into tears, adrenaline vanishing from his system. Bending over, the man pressed his hand against Enkidu's side and healed his wounds with white light. After a few minutes of silence, the man revealed himself as a Paladin of Erastil. Giving Enkidu an small carving of Erastil's insignia, he thanked him and quietly left.

Eventually reaching safety in Andoran, Enkidu took the insignia and went to the nearest church of Erastil and begged to be taught to be a paladin. He was accepted, partially because of the insignia and partially because of his evident skills. Enkidu spent the next few years mastering the skills of battle and faith, serving with distinction in the various missions and battles the Paladins would be sent on. As time went by however, Thelion found himself believing less and less in Erastil- not out of any disrespect for his teachings, more out of a realization that all the good that came from Erastil, and the good that he was able to do, came from Andoran's promotion of freedom, and freedom of religion. Finally, after a great battle against a secret 'false flag' invasion of Andoran by Cheliax, Enkidu was brought before Codwin I to be thanked for his role. He was asked for any boon he might wish for. Falling to his knees, Enkidu asked to be allowed to swear fealty to Andoran, and to its people. Out of gratitude for the service of the young man, and partially out of a desire to cement his political power by recruiting such a strong and popular fellow, Codwin granted Enkidu his boon, and named him the First Sword of Andoran.

Enkidu has since served well in the military, defending Andoran.

Working on a Dwarven Inquisitor now. Excited! Details to come.

Enkidu looks cool. I was thinking earlier someone could do an eagle-like eidolon with tons of talons and be a paladin. The smite would be wicked. I'd like to see a little more detail in the backstory though. Perhaps a few of his more important missions detailed. Were you thinking of using a shield as a weapon? Or just basing the personality off Captain America?

Does a bipedal Synthesist need the Weapon Training evolution to use weapons? Or (since they use the Summoner's feats) can they use whatever weapons they were proficient in?

They do not need the evolution, however they can take it to get proficiency in something instead of taking a feat. But you also get the proficiencies from any class you gestalt with as well. I.e a bipedal fighter/synthesist could wield a greatsword or longsword with no issues.

Eagle-like? So... take plenty of Legs evolutions and stick claws on each of them? Eh.

More important missions detailed? Hmm I'll see what I can do.

Just basing the personality off Captain America, planning for him to wield a big freakin' sword, though I'll see what I can dig up from the weapons list.

I'm interested. Let me start putting something together.

never played with one of these before, this should be interesting

What is required in regards to casting spells from summoner or other sources. Is limbs the only requirement or are there others?

This is very interesting.

My idea is an Osiriani soldier, one of the top fighters at the Ruby Prince service. The non-synthesist part of the gestalt would be a 2-handed basic fighter.
I would like for his Synthesis to be strongly rooted in the Living Monolith Prestige Class (found in the Osirion campaign booklet). I considered taking the PrC with the fighter side of the gestalt but that seems very unefficient and you promised a tough challenge.

The idea is that even as he progressed as a very skilled Fighter, he never felt ready to be judged by the Sphinxes to become a Living Monolith. Finally he died in service of the Ruby Prince, and of course, given his skill, he was considered to be raised by the Prince to become part of the Risen Guard. But at the moment of resurrection, Mariah appeared to him in sphinx form and gifted him with the Synthesist powers.

This form should be either construct-like or sphinx-like, or most likely a mix of the two.

How does that sound?

Big OM - Any synthesist can cast spells, you just need to be able to talk and gesticulate with something. Be is hoof, hand, tentacle wahtever.

Airon87 - We'll handle the gifting of the eidolon in game. But the concept seems fine. Write it up according to requirements.

Arkwright - Well, I was thinking quadruped, with maybe another two legs added on, flight (to whatever degree), large, pounce, bite II, claws x6, improved natural armor, etc.. The idea would be a fast flying pouncer, with max number of attacks. Using smite evil to get past DR and deal high burst damage. Normal damage would kind of blow against DR. It was just a thought, do whatever you want by all means :)

Would you allow Shadow blend or Shadow form from Advanced Race Guide?

Yeah, any of the evolutions on d20pfsrd.com's eidolon page are fine.

so, The Living Monolith main skill is that of becoming Large, through enlarge person spell-like ability.

If I pick the Large evolution for my eidolon, will I need to have two different sized weapons (or one size-changing weapon) for my merged and un-merged form, or will the weapon change size as I merge forms?

Since I suppose the weapon will not change size, is a size-changing weapon present in any manual?

If you have a large eidolon, you're going to want a large weapon. If you cast enlarge person, the weapon grows with you. If you've got a large eidolon with a large weapon and it gets dismissed, you can't wield that weapon.

Are Golarion specific materials allowed?

I'm thinking of a Dervish Dancer, from Qadira. Very quick, lethal strikes, darting into and out of combat.

Are older characters allowed? I'm thinking of a semi-retired character given a new lease of life through the eidolon.

Alright, depending on whether an application in another thread gets accepted I will either be applying as a tactician fighter (called shot and tactics specialist) or an unarmed fighter/rogue

Hmmmm....
I will have to consider this.

Hey y'all, I'm finding Synthesist/Eidelon attacks confusing.

You've got weapon use, primary attacks, and secondary attacks. I see:

Max Attacks wrote:
This indicates the maximum number of natural attacks that the eidolon is allowed to possess at the given level. If the eidolon is at its maximum, it cannot take evolutions that grant additional natural attacks. This does not include attacks made with weapons.

I see that I can buy evolutions that grant either Primary or Secondary attacks (and that with Multiattack I can reduce the attack penalty for 2ndary attacks from -5 to -2). I *don't* understand if there's a practical reason not to take 5 primary attacks. Do secondary ones compete for the same 5 slots?

Next, how do weapon attacks fit into the picture? Are there any ways that an Eidilon can get > 1/round (either at full attack bonus or at -5)? As a gestalt character, do I get my other class's attacks as well (or instead)?

One more (Inquisitor-specific) question. I see

Bane wrote:
an inquisitor can imbue one of her weapons with the bane weapon special ability as a swift action.

I'm clear that this only effects one weapon at a given time. Can it be put on a natural weapon (e.g. one of my Eidilon's claws)? Or only a manufactured one?

Thanks!

And now for some flavor-related questions:

I'm working on my Dwarven Inquisitor (Witch Hunter)/Summoner (Synthesist). I imagine him taking down evil and chaotic magical menaces in the service of Angradd...until he gets "the call". I see in the intro that the call comes from an Archon of Iomedae. Does it make sense that Iomedae would be tapping an Inquisitor of Angradd's? Would it be better to make him a servant of Torag? Or Iomedae herself? (In general, I'm happy to collaboratively develop a character who'll be an interesting fit in the setting.)

Thanks again,

@gyrfalcon
Many primary and secondary attacks compete for slots- pincers override claws for example. And primary attacks tend to be more expensive (2 points for Gore). By all means try and stack up on primary attacks, it's just you'll probably end up spending points on extra arms of legs to stick those attacks on.

Weapon attacks! I'm well familiar with these. Basically you can take a full-attack action where you make all your weapon attacks at full BAB and then you make all your natural attacks, except that all those natural attacks become secondary attacks. Note that you can't make an attack with limbs which are wielding the weapon- IE you can't stick claws on hands holding a longsword and try to attack with both in the same round.

My understanding was that natural weapons counted as light weapons so... maybe? Maybe you could Bane a single natural weapon?

I have a similar question:

For the Synthesist, it says when fused, you can use all your own gear, save for armor.

Does that mean if I want to wield a weapon, I need to get arms for my eidolon, or can my weapon be sort of merged with a natural attack?

I'm thinking of making my character some sort of tiger/panther type, so actual human arms would be weird.

@Monkeygod- You'll need arms to wield your weapon. If you just want to attack with natural attacks there shouldn't be any issue with having your weapon fused to your side.

Note that you'll need arms or some equivalent to satisfy the somatic requirements of summoner spells.

Dotting for interest. Crunch will be posted shortly.

Has anyone else made any headway with their character? I'd like to look at one to see if I'm doing this right. Some of these numbers are getting pretty absurd. Granted this is my first high level synthesist, much less synthesist gestalt.

Monkeygod - Yes. ALLLLLLL Paizo. I stated several times the more grounded your character is in Golarion the better. You need arms to wield weapons in eidolon form, but not to cast spells. A paw can gesture as well as a hand. However, if you don't have fingers you can't manipulate components, so no spells with material components while fused.

Gavmania - Yeah, sure. Are you asking to use age modifiers to ability scores? That I will have to consider on a case by case.

Gyrfalcon - Primary and natural attacks both count as one "attack" for purposes of the limit on the eidolon chart, unless they say otherwise. Rake for example gives you two attacks for one slot. If you make manufactured weapon attacks in a round, you take all your iteratives based off BAB like normal, and then can tack on any naturals at -5 penalty with only half your str bonus to damage (as if they were secondary naturals). Arkwright is correct that you also need the limb/appendage free. Bane can be applied to any one of your weapons, natural or otherwise. This means if you have claws and you put your bane on them, one claw gets bane, not all of them.

Fluff wise, it's Iomedae because she's Kostichie's enemy. If your character wouldn't answer a call from an archon of Iomedae then obviously they aren't a fit for this game.

Preliminary crunch complete.

Still needs some additional work and fill add some background details but I'm posting it early since Ptolmaeus requested to look at one.

Thanks Hawk, I was getting wary about some of the numbers I was looking at. An AC of 42 and an attack bonus of +26 were giving me pause at first.

So like... how many hands do you need to manipulate material components for a spell? Is only 1 hand okay?

One hand is enough.

Question with regard to the Dimensional Assault feat. The dimension charge is based partially on your base speed; must this strictly be your land speed, or can you base it on your fly speed?

Would a sorcerer-summoner with the eidolon as a defensive measure be to weak an option?

Arkwright - Base speed is land speed.

Big Om - No, it'd be damn powerful if done right.

Ptolmaeus - Yeah, your numbers will be really high. Especially AC.

Everyone - Once your alias is finished post with it once saying its ready and I'll begin a list of applicants and review each one for mistakes. If you don't have everything I asked for in the original post I will ignore it until you do.

Tsk; that is a great pity. I'll have to buy some speed items.
