Appearance Female Gnome Oracle (Heavens) 1

Few things Poppy has seen during her years of adventure and intrigue compare to the scene in front of her. The little pony chokes back tears as she watches the ogres and giants burn and suffer the attacks of her comrades. She talks herself out of her despair. It's good that you still feel sad. It means you're still a gnome and not a monster. Except now you're a pony-gnome. Pome. Gnony. The Prismatic Pony girds her loins and charges the remaining ogre by the gate, her horn aiming for his flesh in multicolored fury. The Heavens seem to have blessed the ogre, as Poppy's horn merely bounces off his armor.

You might as well just keep wetting yourselves and calling to your mothers! Either way, you’ll all be burning in Hell soon enough.

Pleased with the dispersal of the vegetation and the giants panic that has driven them into the undergrowth, Cho'ankai coils his tendrils back and sinks his roots into the icy wall below him. Closing his six eyes, he breathes in deeply through three mouths and contemplates the cold that he only barely feels. Instead he remembers the sting on his unprotected skin, recalls the warmth of a campfire in winter, then focuses on that heat and intensity. He channels his thoughts to fire, to heat and flames and the remembrance of seeing a wildfire burning through the great northern Arcadian forests after a lightning storm. He remembers the heat on his skin, the towering wall of fire rolling through the trees.

Snapping his eyes open, Cho'ankai releases a howl from all three heads that expels cinders into the air. Then, erupting from the center of the camp is a rolling wall of smoke and flames that sends a rippling wave of scalding heat outward towards the giants attempting to flee. The fire blackens hair, blisters skin and dissolves snow. "Fire cleanses," Cho'ankai bellows, "so that new life may rise from the ashes!"

Gror surveys the scene briefly, and settles on pouncing on the two giants by the rhino pen. He adjusts his stance slightly to extend his reach and then flies over the wall of fire, straight toward them. Three giants swing at him as he passes overhead. Two swing wide, glancing off his granite hide, but one scores a solid blow with his greataxe, chipping slightly into his right midleg. Gror flinches, thinking hmmm, looks like I still bleed but flying on undeterred.

He scores two solid hits on the giant’s chest, rending frozen flesh, blood, and shards of ribs onto the snow. He then comes in with his baneful right midclaw, anticipating a mighty strike...but finds that the injury has thrown that leg off slightly, and his blow glances off the giant’s armored arm. Focus, Gror! It’s a little pain, a triffle. Focus! Recovering somewhat he scores again, ripping into the giant’s arm, and then comes back again with his injured, baneful midclaw. This time it seems ready to rip clear through his foe’s neck, severing it’s head, but the giant turns at the last minute, and instead the claws dig deep into its shoulder.

Dori takes a moment to survey the camp now filled with overwhelming plant growth and two walls of fire. She'd always been one that easily engaged in violence, a nature of her upbringing. Though she was finding that her new abilities gave her more opportunities to strike close up and personal.

Seeing that two of the giants were a little to close together, she smiled as she recast her spell and disappeared from view. Reappearing between two giants she struck, her upper right claw catching one frost giant across the back of his shoulder's slicing through muscle and bone, the return strike just missing as the frost giant lurches from the pain. Her teleport hops are so small that the shadow appears to be blinking, each time a few feet from where it was. Her upper left claw swings at the other giant, but Dori realizes she misjudged how far he was and he is momentarily spared. Her attention returns to her first target as another claw, her lower right, slices along one arm, causing grievous damage from shoulder to elbow. Another swing at the other giant ensures he stays at bay as her tentacle whips around from behind her to strike at his forehead, opening a painful wound above his eyes. With each blink, she yells RUN!

Just need Ophelia.

Female Elf Wizard (Conjurer) 12 || Summoner (Synthesist) 12

It is times like this when Ophelia truly feels the extent of her age and experiences. Having lived a hundred and forty long years and having been routinely exposed to death throughout her lifetime, the horrific carnage below - while always unnerving - is ultimately nothing new. Quite honestly, she has seen much worse and has justified her actions long ago. Something Janus once told her on the subject comes to mind.

"Some might call this an atrocity, Opal, but unlike these giants, this is all we will do. Unlike them, we do not seemingly exist just slaughtering and pillaging entire villages, and we certainly do not take joy in our actions. I dare say that most of us regret having to spill blood too. And what of the alternatives? What happens when we do nothing?"

She notices one giant emerge from who seems to... different from the rest of them. Seeing the way he takes command of the rest, Ophelia quickly concludes that he is the leader. Additionally, his demonic features just radiate the word "dangerous" to her.

Recalling her studies at the Acadamae in Korovosa at the young age of ninety, Ophelia manages to shorten the casting time of her next spell to a mere fraction of its normal length. The usual process of using this technique is actually highly exhausting, but the elf practically feels the strength and stamina of a paladin flowing through her veins and does it with relative ease. She quickly floats over to a closer position to maximize the usefulness of her spell.

Seconds later, a massive heavenly dire tiger appears from nowhere and pounces the giant leader in a flurry of bites and claws.

Meanwhile, Lucero continues his relentless assault against the forces of evil. Unlike Ophelia, he does not see much grey in killing these animals. After all, how many innocents have they sacrificed to their terrible lord? How many lives have they taken just for pleasure? He sees no harm in repaying the favor.

He quickly selects a new target. While he cannot see his Summoner's exact location, he does feel her good aura hovering over that of an ogre. The invisible Couatl hisses softly and launches himself at the unsuspecting giant. Just as the ogre makes it out of his tent, he is blindsided by a powerful invisible force and feels his air supply get swiftly cut off.

Lucero's eyes flash, and the unsuspecting ogre vanishes into nothing.

Using her Acadamae Graduate Feat, Ophelia shortens the summoning time of Summon Monster VI to one standard action. She descends to 40 feet above the air and summons Bob the Celestial Dire Tiger at -E/-C 31/32. Bob shows up, decides to smite the evil giant leader, and then full-round attacks the guy. He manages to get a grapple in.

Lucero flies over to the ogre at B21 and uses Plane Shift on him.

Is that frost giant by the northwestern tower still alive or dead or in the battle?

"Is that frost giant by the northwestern tower still alive or dead or in the battle?"

Crap, I forgot to describe his actions. There's so much going on here that some stuff is bound to get missed. He actually emerged from one of the tents and is climbing up the tower now.

Round 2

Gror is visibly shocked as he realizes how quickly this giant fell before him. Angradd, what is this power you’ve granted me? It is far more than I prayed for, and I vow to use it wisely, defeating our foes without mercy. He pauses to take in the scene, then calls out in Common, ”Cho, excellent strategy with these weeds! They’re trying to get to their mounts, and to flee us. Let’s all see that they fail!”

And then in Giant, ”Þú might eins og heilbrigður bara halda bleyta ykkur og kallar til móður þína! Hvort heldur munt þú allt að brenna í helvíti fljótlega.”

They have already been judged by the gods of good and we are the instruments of their justice. To show mercy now would be to shun the gods that have trusted me. My hand must be the instrument of their demise... Vega watches the giant narrowly avoid his spinning foot - which is now more tail-like cloth than foot - only to go crashing into the ground. Normally he'd let a whimpering foe lie, but this is a mission ordained by the spirits of good, and it comes with dire responsibilities. Using the nearby tower as a springboard, Vega launches himself at the fallen Giant, spinning through the air like a twirling dart, and landing on the Giant's chest with a forceful elbow, cracking it's sternum and forcing the air out of it's lungs. The giant vomits a little as it passes out, going limp in the snow.

The ogre ogles the rainbow pony disbelievingly, swinging his club at her as she dives into his reach. His club blow simply rebounds off the sparkling, shiny stars covering Poppy. The Heavens seem to have blessed the ogre, as Poppy's horn fails to pierce his armor.

Pleased with the dispersal of the vegetation and the giants' panic that has driven them into the undergrowth, Cho'ankai coils his tendrils back and sinks his roots into the icy wall below him.

As the second wall of fire rises up into the sky, so do more screams and smoke from the giants caught in it. The constantly regrowing plants are seared along the line, releasing the thick white smoke of still green flora burning. The poorly cured hide tents reek as the fur covering them begins to smoulder and burn.

Gror surveys the scene briefly, and settles on pouncing on the two giants by the rhino pen. He adjusts his stance slightly to extend his reach and then flies through the top of the wall of fire, straight toward them. A giant swings at him as he passes overhead. It scores a solid blow with its greataxe, chipping slightly into his right midleg. Gror flinches, thinking Hmmm, looks like I still bleed. The thought doesn't deter him as he flies on to his target.

He pounces, scoring two solid hits on the giant’s chest, rending frozen flesh and sending bloody shards of ribs onto the snow below. He then comes in with his baneful right midclaw, anticipating a mighty strike...but finds that the injury has thrown that leg off slightly, and his blow glances off the giant’s armored arm. Focus, Gror! It’s just a little pain, a trifle. Focus! Recovering somewhat, he swings again, ripping into the giant’s arm, and then comes back again with his injured, baneful midclaw. This time it seems ready to rip clear through his foe’s neck, severing it’s head, but the giant turns at the last minute, and instead the claws dig deep into its shoulder. His assault leaves the giant crouching down trying to get out of The Gargoyle's reach and bleeding badly.

Dori takes a moment to survey the camp, now filled with overwhelming plant growth and two walls of fire. She'd always been one that easily engaged in violence, it was the nature of her upbringing. Though she was finding that her new abilities gave her more opportunities to strike close up and personal.

Seeing that two of the giants were close together and under assault from Gror, she smiled as she recast her spell and disappeared from view. Reappearing between the two giants opposite Gror she strikes, her upper right claw catching Gror's frost giant across the back of his neck, ripping out several vertebrae and instantly killing him. Her teleport hops are so small that the massive shadow appears to be blinking in and out of reality, each time a few feet from where it was. Her upper left claw swings at the other giant, but Dori realizes she misjudged how far he was and he is momentarily spared. Another claw, her lower right, slices along its arm, causing grievous damage from shoulder to elbow. The next swing ensures he stays at bay as her tentacle whips around from behind her to strike at his forehead, splitting the skin and opening a painful wound above his eyes. With each blink of her body, she yells "RUN!" Her last teleport sends her behind the remaining giant, floating over the pen with the rhinos.

It is times like this when Ophelia truly feels the extent of her age and experiences. Having lived a hundred and forty long years and having been routinely exposed to death throughout her lifetime, the horrific carnage below - while always unnerving - is ultimately nothing new. Seconds later, a massive heavenly dire tiger appears from nowhere and pounces the giant leader in a flurry of bites and claws. The great cat latches onto the leader's arm and rakes him terribly, shredding his thighs.

At some point in the chaos all the animals have fled back to the corners of their pens, trying to get away from the loud noises and fire.

The howling continues to approach the camp, getting louder by the moment.

The ogres hear their leader's plan and realize that they are going to be abandoned. Without mounts or ranged weapons there is little they can do to fight, and running's not an option with the camp's entrance covered in a giant wall of fire. They simply try to get as far away from the fires and terrible creatures assaulting their camp as they can. The one Poppy is flying over stumbles away from her, deeper into the overgrowth, leaving an opening for her horn. The Prismatic Pony thrusts forward, driving her rainbow spike through the ogre's back and heart, killing it instantly.

The majority of the giants flee from Cho's wall of fire, towards the mammoth pen. One giant climbs up onto the camp's western watchtower and appears to be preparing to jump over the wall to escape. Only two giants are in a position to throw boulders. Both of them target Vega, as he's the most easily visible Chosen they can see. He dodges the missiles with laughable ease, seeming to know where they will be before they arrive.

A roar of absolute fury comes from the giant leader as he grabs the feline gripping him around the throat with one hand and punches it twice in the face, shattering its snout and one of its eye sockets.

The giant's camp is beginning to resemble a giant bowl of Urgathoan stew from the air above. The two walls of fire have set great clouds of steam and smoke to rising into the sky. The scent is a "delectable" mix of burning meat, hair, sh*t, blood and plant matter. So much snow and ice are melting so rapidly that a river of the muddy, bloody slurry caused by all the destruction is now flowing downhill and out the entrance of the camp.

Are the giants slams "evil" for the purposes of DR? Bob has 10 DR/evil from the celestial template.

Ophelia watches carefully as her summon and the giant leader brutally claw and smash at each other. The celestial dire tiger seems to be doing surprisingly well and ultimately holding his own, which calms the elf's doubts about not pulling her own weight. Seeing the mighty Gror in sight, she decides to delay any further action for the time being and let the battle unfold. With the tiger's help, the dwarven gargoyle could very well end the enemy leader's life in the next few seconds.

Meanwhile, Lucero actually has an immediate target. The invisible Couatl at last notices the frost giant desperately trying to retreat over the wall. Iomedae's servant hisses angrily at himself for letting a foe slip past him, and with a flap of his powerful wings, the feathered serpent tears through the winter air at the fleeing frost giant.

In all honesty, Lucero is surprised that none have thwarted his magic thus far, but then again, Kostchtchie's giants are known among the Inheritor's forces for their weak will. Moreover, the invisible serpent sees that his prey is clearly distracted as he scrambles for his life. As such, Lucero takes advantage of this fact and easily secures a solid hold on the fleeing foe's arm. Never even aware of what hits him, the frost giant is hardly able to resist Lucero launching him into a world of fire.

Unsure of what to do, Ophelia delays.

Lucero moves over to the northwest tower and Plane Shifts the fleeing giant to the Elemental Plane of Fire.

Noticing the giant climbing the tower, Gror begins to call out -- and then sees Lucero handle the would-be escapee admirably and decides to focus on the nearest unattended giant, pouncing on top of him with claws in motion.

Gror’s right foreclaw rips into its shoulder from behind as the giant tries in vain to flee through the mass of vegetation. His left glances off the giant’s armor as it spins around but his baneful right midclaw strikes true and on its belly and he rends it spilling intestine as the giant howls in pain. Once again his left misses but, due to his supernatural speed, he’s able to get in one more slash with his glowing right midclaw, this time ripping deeply into it’s side with a spray of blood.

She grins gleefully and exclaims, "Wooooooow!" She desperately wants to forget about the battle and go pet the kitty, but changes her mind when she sees what he did to the giants' leader. Oooh. He's a mean tiger! Her thoughts start to drift to baskets of kittens and cuddly orange cats. Not now! Focus! She clears her head and quickly surveys the current state of the battlefield. "I think you two have this side of the wall covered!" she shouts through the chaos to the wintry wolf and the mighty monk. She flies ten feet up in the air, then soars over Cho's wall of fire to the group of giants on the other side. She floats above one of the tents, just ten feet away from the invisible elf. She neighs at the giants and shakes her lustrous mane, hoping to draw all of their attention with her dazzling appearance. Poor things.

I should have said something, mentally grumbles Ophelia with a light sigh as she watches Gror instead attack one of the fleeing lesser giants. The diminutive elf snaps her head back over to the epic brawl between her celestial summon and the demonic leader and immediately frowns. Despite the initial shock of the tiger's sudden attack, the head frost giant quickly seems to be getting the upper hand.

Better act fast! thinks Ophelia as she begins ascending toward the bitter battle.

Tapping into her newer magical powers, the Sapphire Summoner zips over to the struggle and utters a brief prayer to any one of her three goddesses to offer Guidance to the celestial creature. Somehow, that makes all the difference. Just as it seems like the demonic frost giant jarl is about to break free, her dire tiger manages to overpower his foe and then sink his massive teeth into the enemy's shoulder.

Not one to make the same mistake twice, Ophelia calls out for any assistance she can get.

"Someone finish this guy! He's on his last legs!"

Seeing two of the ogres below attempting to flee the battle, Cho'ankai resorts to much more traditional methods of control. Growling deeply, the verdant creature drives its forelimbs into the icy wall as roots, vines and creepers plunge through fissures in the ice. Dorialis sees the dire tiger engaged with the bigger, louder giant who wasn't running in terror. He would be her next target. Cho, from his vantage on the wall, and Dorialis from hers in the air can see the sentry and the pack of winter wolves come running up towards the camp from the south. As soon as they see the amount of fire and smoke coming out of the camp, as well as the giant tree wolf on the wall they turn tail and immediately begin running back the way they came to the south.

The ogre's see how easily their relations have fallen and simply drop their clubs. They yell out "Við ekki berjast! Ekki drepa okkur!" The two who were tripped by Cho just cower, covering the backs of the heads and necks with their thick brutish hands.

The giants who can, continue to attempt to get to the mammoths, though their morale appears to be at the breaking point.

The giant leader is too busy wrestling the summoned tiger to notice that his troops are surrendering and running away. He lands two more solid punches on the great cat, shattering bones and eliciting yowls of pain.

Gror sneers at the ogres’ cries. ”Þú þjóna Kostchtchie og þá biðja um miskunn? Ha ha ha!”

He feels the hot giant blood spray out on his cold stone skin as it collapses into the thick undergrowth. His heart is beating fast as he glances around briefly at the carnage and then launches himself onto the next unattended giant before him. His foreclaws dig into it’s back and left arm and then rend large slices into it’s flesh, causing it to stagger and drop to one knee. His baneful midclaw cuts up under it’s chin, ripping off an ear. The giant manages to push away Gror’s left midclaw, but in doing so opens himself up for another blow from his baneful claw, ripping deep into it’s chest, snapping off ribs and sending a hunk of bone, flesh and lung flying into the air as another giant falls.

Poppy surveys the battlefield, wincing with pity as their foes surrender and attempt to flee. She heeds Ophelia's warning and decides to leave the lesser enemies alone and focus on the leader. I'll take him out of the fight for good!

She soars over to the leader's position, giddy with anticipation for her next move. As she floats above him, she silently recites the opening lines of a sentimental children's story. Her horn radiates a heavenly glow, and with each word spoken, it glows more and more brightly. Finally, all the light in her horn surges to the tip and explodes outward toward the leader's face in a cacophonous array of retina-searing colors.

Female Elf Wizard (Conjurer) 12 || Summoner (Synthesist) 12

Ophelia is relieved when Dori and Poppy swiftly come to her aid. Between Dori's powerful blows to the frost giant's back and Poppy's radiant rainbow magic, it looks like the celestial dire tiger will be able to further assist with the rest of the battle. As she offers further Guidance to her summon, Ophelia notes how many enemies they still have left. While it has become evident that the Chosen are vastly more powerful than the giants, they still lack the ability and means to be everywhere at once. She quickly takes to the air to get a better vintage point of the situation.

With help from the Chosen Ladies, the dire tiger easily keeps control of the struggle. His thick celestial hide gives him great endurance against the demonic jarl's heavy blows, which would have crippled a lesser felines by this point. The strange rainbow pony's magic then suddenly presents the heavenly cat the chance to return the favor, which he quickly pounces on.

Seeing four potential targets, Lucero decides to further break the will of Kostchtchie's servants before he resorting to his Plane Shift to send the rest of them into the void of time and space. He quickly conjures up a thick, heavy, heavenly aura not unlike that of his Archon commanders, and with a flap of his powerful wings, the invisible Couatl flies over to the cowering ogres. The results are mixed. Two of them seem to be too distracted by the slaughter around them to really notice his presence, but the other pair immediately start panicking upon feeling the immense power of their demonic lord's divine enemy.

Vega has a look of stern determination on is face. His brow furrows, and he speeds around the fleeing giant, cutting off it's path of escape.

It is good that I do not understand their language. We are not to deal with these folk. This ensures I cannot.

There is no joy in Vega's quick and precise movements. No excitement in the task. Just cold efficiency.

This is a task that must be done. An unfortunate necessity. Nothing more.

Taking advantage of his aeriel superiority, Vega flies around the giant to cut off his escape, and potentially getting himself flanked by the other giant slightly further away. The escaping giant takes a swing at Vega as he goes overhead, but hit's nothing but air in his wake.

Perhaps this more vulnerable position will goad some courage back into them. Get them to fight back. Try to take me down!

For Vega, the time for words have ended. He thinks his thoughts, and does what he needs to do with this gift of power from the celestial realms. As he lowers his hovering height to just above the overgrowth of plant life, energy flows around his hands again as he prepares for his next attack. His strike is true, sending shockwaves rippling through the Giant's body. There will be a bruise there under his armor, but the giant just barely managed to retain control of it's own nervous system.

With the ogres down, Cho'ankai takes a moment to familiarize himself with this ability he can feel brewing within, the thinning of distances that he had experienced before that allowed him to leap vast distances now seems trivial. There was more he could do with it, and more he would do.

Focusing down at the space where the ogres had fallen, Cho'ankai breathes in deeply and forces himself to move forward -- not physically, but rather as he would through the ley lines, as he had done before -- and as he moves through that interstitial space he prepares his body for the landing. Roots tense up, vines coil, and when Cho'ankai's verdant lupine form explodes into reality adjacent to those toppled giants, he is a lashing mass of ferocious bites, snapping tendrils and rending claws.

Leaping at one of the giants on erupting out of the space-between-spaces, Cho'ankai savages the creature. Thorned claws rake through flesh, powerful oaken jaws crush bone, and whipping roots flay skin from the back and face of the creature. Never before in an animal's shape has Cho felt this level of power, this much intoxicating freedom to battle unimpeded, and he loses himself to the fury.

They alter their courses, heading for the towers in hopes of leaping over the walls to their freedom. The giant which Dorialias just attacked ducks his head and attempts to flee under her. She lashes out at him with her tentacle, but the giant dodges the blow.

The other giant near the flying shadow-bound fetlching sees his companion heading for the tower and tries the same thing. Dorialis whips her tentacle at him as well, but the blow is a poorly aimed back swing from her first attack and it misses completely.

The shaken giant facing off with Vega tries to back slowly and carefully away, but he underestimates both the monk and Cho's reach. They both swat at him simultaneously, trying to halt his retreat. A thorny root erupts from the ground behind of the giant, glowing with holy energy. It slaps him across the side of the head, breaking his jaw with a loud cracking noise. Vega lunges forward from his coiled robe tail, and sinks his teeth into the giant's neck opening a gushing bite wound there.

The ogres continue to cower, their dim minds unable to comprehend the death that had descended on their camp. They noisily beg for their lives in the giant tongue, seemingly oblivious to the fact that their cries fall on deaf ears as had so many of their victim's before them.

Silent and serious, Vega hovers towards the giant he has essentially cornered. His eyes hold a bit of sadness as it becomes clear that this life before him must be snuffed out, and that at some point he will have to go back to the giant he has left beaten, bruised, and unconscious and snap it's neck as well. But first, the one that is before him must fall. Having already exploited a pressure point on this giant to break it's spirit, Vega decides to bring him down hard. The giant leans away from the first attack, but the second one hits the giant hard in the gut, causing it to bend over towards Vega. Vega didn't expect such a violent reaction to the blow, so his next attack goes just wide of the giant's head. However, his next strike takes advantage of this weakened position, giving the giant a strong punch directly to it's throat, cutting off it's windpipe and jugular. Vega then unleashes a quick flurry of 4 more punches directly to the giants head, causing it's skull to crack and it's eyes puff up with blood.

She soars over to the frost giant near the fetchling's pit. She attempts to clear her mind of pity and charges directly at him, hoping to wedge her horn into a vital organ. As she approaches, the fleeing giant attempts to swat her away with his greataxe, but his blow whooshes past her left flank, meeting only frosty air. Poppy's own attack is a bit sloppy. With his will devastated from so many horrid sights, the ogre never even gets a chance to scream as Lucero's powerful magic tears him from the material plane and into some distant fiery abyss.

    Round 5

As Gror looks about at the wreckage of the Giants’ camp to select his next foe, it occurs to him that there’s a patrol out there somewhere. ”Comrades, what happened to that patrol? Can someone fly up and take a look, or search magically? We don’t want to give away more information than we have to!”

The second strikes true as well, digging solidly into the giant’s shoulder which lets him rend nose, eye, and cheek off of it’s twisted face. It starts to slump with a blubbering, gurgling howl as his midclaws strike true as well, batting the giant about before it’s ever able to catch it’s bearings, and letting it drop with a thud into the brush. Gror nods at Dori with a flicker of a smile. ”Who’s next?”

However, his next strike takes advantage of this weakened position, giving the giant a strong punch directly to it's throat, cutting off it's windpipe and jugular. Dorialis flies straight upwards trying to catch sight of the patrol. She sees them rapidly fleeing away from the Veil to the south. They are already a thousand or more feet from the camp and showing no signs of slowing.

No longer surrounded by enemies, Cho'ankai spots one of the ogres fleeting beyond the wall of fire. Lashing out with his whip-like roots, the verdant druid snatches the ogre around the arm, but the strong creature tears itself free, scrambling ahead a few more feet. Undeterred, Cho sends out another lashing root that snares the ogre around the ankle. It drops to one knee, finds its footing again, and with all of its might manages to tear free from the roots and escape Cho'ankai's reach.

The giant next to Gror backs away from The Gargoyle slowly and cautiously, leaving no opening in his defenses. Across the camp the only giant not harried by a Chosen finally breaks free of the plant growth and runs under the north east tower. The giant grappling the tiger is none other than Ragnar the Pantswetter. While he may have displayed cowardice earlier in the fight, he'll be damned before he lets a cat eat him. Mustering all his strength the huge blue man slams his meaty fist twice into the same spot that the leader was hitting the tiger. Half its face is turned to pulp by the blows, despite the tiger's thick celestial hide.

The ogres still don't see anything to hit, and now on top of the terrifying light coming out of the air, they are beginning to disappear. The end has truly come. All but one cower in abject terror. The one remaining ogre on the other side of the camp flees from the massive tree wolf that's trying to kill him. A root erupts from the ground and whacks the ogre across the back of the skull, nearly killing him as he flees. He also runs under the north east tower, heading to the back of the camp and away from his doom.

    Slam on Tiger (grappled, str dmg, power attack): 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (7) + 28 = 35
    Slam on Tiger (grappled, str dmg, power attack): 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (18) + 28 = 46

    Damage: 2d8 + 30 - 20 ⇒ (7, 8) + 30 - 20 = 25

    Root Attack AoO: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35
    Root Attack AoO Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 plus Holy: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7

Round 6, go! I'm going to call the fight after this round. You can choose whether to kill them all, save one for interrogation or what. If you want to go after the patrol, assuming you use teleportation spells I'll let you make the same choice about them. Gror and/or Dori could wipe them up in a couple rounds easily.
