Tedhee, or Ted to his friends has more then just a wanderlust. He's spent his whole life looking for a great adventure to challenge his skills. His quest is two fold. To find the greatest adventure ever told. And second, to prove that even the little folk can become some of the most dangerous warriors to be respected. Hello! I would love to try with a character that did not make it for a previous Ire of the Storm game. As for the class I was originally going to build her as a unchained rouge though a ranger would be lovely fit for her too. I am a little torn on the race. Humans are always a nice option but the tiefling is there taunting me.
Here is what I had for her with the last one. I can easily rework the sibling out of it if you want or keep him there.
Aula was a bitter woman much of the time and hated the Colonist. They disowned her and left her to live in poverty with her husband. In her mind she should brought him back to live in a nice estate and they would have proven that the Zenj are different but not lesser. That bitterness has an effect on both of her family. That bitterness has cause many fights between husband and wife of the years. Tabansi was sympathetic at first then grew angry as he felt that he and his people were apparently not enough. Over time that angry turned into grief and he slowly became numb.
Both children desperately want to leave. Leave the bigotry of their blended cultures, the bitterness of the mother, their fathers cold apathy, and the cruel cycle that their people seems so willing to stay in. For two years they saved what little they could to buy passage on a ship and leave. Everything from hauling lumber from the jungle, cooking in a tavern, or working in one of the various mines. They lied about what they were paid to keep what they could in hiding. This is supposed to be their chance to become something more than what their parents are.
Understandably their parents were less than pleased with this plan. But the two siblings made sure to keep their plans secret until the day of.
She very clearly knows her place in life and thinks that it is not enough. She needs and can do more. Constantly challenging herself to try more and to do more.
When alone or being kept stagnate she seems to wilt. Growing lethargic and moody. From early childhood she realized that being still was something that she never wanted. Which made it the perfect threat to keep in line for her family. Isolation is tolerable in short doses but the idea of days spent alone is horrifying.
The ring she keeps in her hair symbolizes the infinite potential of the world. To her it is a reminder of the world, the fact that no matter what happens that life will continue on. Not an overly religious person but she is devote in that belief. Life will continue and she is merely one strand, or facet of the circle.

Do I have to sink the feat Fiendish Heritage to get to pick/roll on the Variant Abilities and Physical Features chart for the Tiefling? Some GMs wave that feat since Aasimars and Dhampirs do not have that penalty.
Also with the chart do I have to roll or can I pick which ability I wan to trade for the spell like ability?

Ok so Zula is done other than that lore skill. Not sure what I want it to be. I need to do a little more reading on Sargave. I know I want it to be concerning either the plants or animals of the area. IF you have any questions or want to elaborate on anything or change something please let me know.
My plans for her build is that next level I will be going into unchained rouge and staying there. I want her to be a bit of a skill monkey and a scout assuming that is no issue. Sneak attack is going to be my main way of damage and that potential for damage will go up at level two.
Personality wise she is going to be a little eager to please and fairly committed to making this her new home. She might get a little angsty at times but over all I am wanting her to be mostly a happy person.

I am in the process of polishing up Obiefune, a Mwangi man from the Bas'o tribe who has had several unfortunate run-ins with local slavers. He kills them when he encounters them. He has some strong reservations about the colonial imperialism of the Chelaxians and is a member of the Freemen's Brotherhood, though he is not always as prone to radicalized sentiments against all foreigners - that is, he still believes that some kind of compromise is possible, so long as local autonomy is preserved. He has mixed feelings about colonials that he meets for the first time, as the stratified social structure in Sargava is generally pretty bad to people of his culture, the Bas'o (and other Mwangi).
Obiefune is a spirit ranger, so he is an excellent survivalist and guide to help the party when traveling across Sargavan territory. He knows the land and can navigate and fight. He is not a great diplomat or face character, but he's not a terrible companion either (average Charisma). He is a good off-tank and could hold the line if needed in combat, plus his focus on fighting other (evil) people makes him a good combatant against evil cultists, Bekyar slavers, etc.

The recruitment is now closed.
Those who already applied can still polish their characters.

You may choose from Variant Tiefling Heritages, but do not roll for Variant Ability. Physical Features are cosmetic, so you can just describe your tiefling.
What would be some good options for your game?
I'll answer that when I get back from the university. Will have to skim through the book to refresh memory.

What would be some good options for your game?
So, what Lore skills would you like to take?
Gozreh Lore may find some use. Maybe about halfling or lizardfolk tribes in the region. Knowledge about the southern part of Sargava may be useful. Other that that, I'm not sure. There are some ruins, but that's too broad for a Lore.
Everyone who applied - thank you all, I'll choose players and let you know tomorrow who made it.

Rerecruitment
We lost a player and the party thinks it would be nice to have a trapfinder/skillmonkey, so here we go. They finished investigation of the Fort Breakthrough and now rest in Pridon's Hearth.
We have a summoner, a druid, a magus and an oracle.
I'll leave this open for a week (until December, 26).
Alignment: No evil.
Ability Scores: 20 Point Buy.
HP: Max at 1st level, then 1/2 HD +1.
Skills: Background Skills are in use.
Traits: 2, no drawbacks.
Starting Wealth: 500 gp.
Races: Core, plus Aasimar, Fetchling, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Tiefling and Undine.
Classes: Core, Base (except Vigilante) and Hybrid. No Alternate or Occult classes. Use Unchained version of the class if available.
Firearms: No guns, so use Bolt Ace for Gunslinger.

dot. will see what I come up with.
I am thinking maybe a Slayer coming to Pridon's hearth to work as a blade for hire. This one would likely be a realist, while not bad, he understands that everything he does may not be "good". Hmm.
that or maybe an investigator.
okay yeah, I think I may go with investigator. ALL THE SKILLS lol.
