To Ezren
He thinks this group can be a tool to be used for...something.
"Well, I ended up here because I want to change Cheliax for the better. This seemed to be the place to come and be with others of similar goals. Although, I must admit, I haven't really figured out how. Ariel seems to have all the good ideas." Scalvo realizes he might have offended you and continues "But, maybe you can bring some good ideas as well."
| Tristain the Chalker |
The fly? A mountain? It was a simple question! How. Long. Have. You. Been. Here?! Simple!
Tristain looks confused but pushes through it.
"I have talent and ideas...and the only way I know how to express them is through my art. I suppose I *could* do other things, but...nothing matches what I can do with my chalk."
"What do I do? I draw. I express. I show my desire for a better Westcrown. A free Westcrown. An open Westcrown. That's what I do."
Tristain tries to learn more of her.
"And what about *you*? What do you do?"
| Ezren Geitus |
to Scalvo
"What does a better Cheliax look like to you Scalvo? What is the one thing you want to change?" ... what does he hope this group will help him accomplish? ... who knows it may be something worth helping with .... or just someone using us to do their heavy lifting ...
"My only idea is to reclaim the night form the shadow creatures."

To Tristain
"I clear my mind of poison. I find, mundane labor tasks, well, mundane." Pause.
"If I had to say what I do, I think. I ponder possibilities. I seek the wisdom held in the seeds of mankind." Pause.
"Did you know I had a job at one time? It was dreadful. I was, um, excuse me, I was working as a porter. Other say they are their job, but me, I was just working a job. My employer, or so he called himself, kept saying I was lazy. He was....unhelpful to my pursuits. The job was just so boring and beneath me, and provided little time to ponder. My new pursuit is to help the people of Westcrown. This is my calling, I'm sure of it. Have you ever felt called to destiny? It is like a unblossomed flower, feeling the rain for the first time. So, now I ponder, how to help the people. It's become more difficult without the insights and teachings from Ariel."

To Ezren
Scalvo looks confused. "No sir. Well, you're a traitor too, so if you must know, well, I...I" The man moves to whisper in your ear.
"I am a servant of Iomedae. I will bring her rightous valor down upon the evil in this city. She was Aroden's herald, and I intend to follow the honor and glory she demands."
Scalvo looks shaken, as if he has confessed a deep secret to you. "You think the fear of being a traitor is bad? Imagine what they would do, if they knew, what I just said. They'd, they would...do something unimaginable." He wipes a tear from his left eye. "What they did to that man in the street would be nothing. Nothing I tell you. I won't go down like that. I'll die with a sword in my hand."
| Ezren Geitus |
To Scalvo
"If what you say is true then we are brothers in the same cause." Ezren grasps Scalvo's hand in a tight hand shake. "I am a follower of Abadar but I have recently questioned the strict following of his teaching. I believe one's action must be good even if it does not follow the law. I will speak to you more in private later about your God's teachings." Ezren slowy bows to Scalvo moves away with a smile on his face. Enlightened by the first person Ezren moves on to talk to more of the people gather here.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
"Moshley is Jimmy's older brother. We're both gnomes, like our parents."
Jimmy smiles when Yakopulia mentions making drinks. "Jimmy likes orange juice best of all drinks!"
Council Chairman
|
To Jimmy
Yakopulia smiles. "Well then, we have something in common besides our beliefs. My parents were also gnomes, imagine that! My, I like you. Now, I tell you a secret. I make the best orange juice on mainland Westcrown. I don't get the fancy oranges they get on the island, but just the same I bet mine are better. Come, I'll make you Orange Juice drink known as the Black Rat Attack!"
Yakopulia hops up, and gets to work on mixing some drinks. She pours some of this, some of that, and produces two glasses (one for her, one for Jimmy). "Now, this will grow a beard on a gnome, or take the hair off the chest of a human. But either way, bottoms up!" She hands the glass full of Black Rat Attack to Jimmy, grabs the other glass, and drinks it quickly. "Ahhhh, that's good, huh Jimmy?"
At this point, a female human (why are they all flocking to Jimmy?) pulls up a stool and sits down. "Hey, if we're drinking, you have to sing a song. Everyone, gather round, and sing the drinking song."
Some of the crowd gathers round the woman. "Start singing Amaya! The one about the whores!" someone calls out. "Gather round, gather round." she says. "You always want to sing about whores! Okay, here it goes, you all know the words, sing along!"
We're running away around the Cape
Some for debt and some for rape
Johnny come down to Hilo, poor old man
Wake her, shake her
Wake that gal with the blue dress on
Johnny come down to Hilo, poor old man
Now I once had a gal, her hair was red
'Twas curly all over except on her head...
Her eyes was blue, her dress the same
But she always fell asleep before I came...
Now a dollar goes from hand to hand
My gal goes from man to man...
I tied my gal in a gunny sack
She'll be true to me 'til I get back...
I threw that sack out in the rough
By god she wasn't true enough!...
She's a downeast gal with a downeast style
For a dollar a time it's all worthwhile.
The crowd roars in delight at the song.
| Tristain the Chalker |
"Have you ever felt called to destiny? It is like a unblossomed flower, feeling the rain for the first time. So, now I ponder, how to help the people. It's become more difficult without the insights and teachings from Ariel."
Tristain lights up.
"Who is Ariel? Janiven mentioned him before."
| Moshley Bodrick |
To Gorvio
"Hey! My name is Moshley. As for your question, I don't really know. I discovered I had these powers fairly late. I was about 35 summers I think, ah it doesn't really matter, it just was there suddenly. I think it runs down family lines. So it might be possible that one of my far grandparents made a deal with the devil." He explains with a grin.
Moshley puts his work down and casts prestidigitation. Creating smoke of all colors swirling around in a small globe like form, with the globe growing and shrinking like a heartbeat. Provided with some music it would be very mesmerizing.

To Tristain
"Yes, who is Ariel. It is said a man is what a man does. He is our leader. He founded this group, along with Janiven. He's a half-elf, not that it matters, full of spirituality and personality. Without him, we're probably doomed to failure. He's the candle in the night, who carries all our dreams, on a single ray of light. He said, 'If you close your eyes, look into the dream, winds of change, will winds of fortune bring.'" Pause.
"I find him, no, we find him, our inspiration for changing Westcrown. If he doesn't turn up soon, I believe this group will splinter and fail. Pardon me, but I must cleanse my mind now. Speaking of him missing has poisoned my mind again, and I must mediate now."
Mathalen moves to the corner of the room, folds her legs in an awkward position and closes her eyes. She will not respond to any more commentary at this point for the rest of this roleplaying scene.
Council Chairman
|
To Moshley
Gorvio is definately interested in learning more about magic. He thinks there might be a power growing in him, but he's been afraid to ask others.
Gorvio looks taken aback. "A deal with the devil you say?" His amber eyes flicker wildly as he says this. "So it is true, that all powerful spells derive from Hell. That's, absolutely...um, interesting. Yes, interesting."
"My grandfather was a devil, a bone devil named Zanzabar, servant of Mammon in the third kingdom of Hell. The counter of coins shall fill my soul with power, as it has with you. Although I don't commune with Hell, can you teach me to control this power, and we can help this city improve. I embrace my heritage, but I fear it frightens the others to see the power from Hell used in my hands.""
Then Gorvio starts grunting some strange sounds, at which the others look at him like he's possessed. You hear "What's wrong with him?" in the background.
| Tristain the Chalker |
With that, Tristain takes his leave of Mathalen and goes to find someone else more sane to speak with.
Wow. I hope the others are more...uh...normal, like me.
Ermolos
Fiosa
Larko
Rizzardo
Scalvo
Tarvi
Vitti
Tristain will rise and go meet with 1d7 ⇒ 4 Rizzardo.
"Hi, my name is Tristain Stone...and you are??" Tristain offers a hand of introduction to Rizzardo.
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
After singing the song about whores (he's the one who requested that particular song), a gruff man turns to you and says. "I'm Rizzardo. So, you were attracted to Janiven like all the others, huh? I guess that's normal, she's quite attractive. Just don't get any ideas, I've got the inside track on her inner thighs. Well, anyways, let the best man win the prize I always say." He grabs your hand to shake it, and he squeezes it a bit harder than is polite. His grip seems to be getting tighter.
Another human man, eyeing this, kicks Rizzardo fairly hard in the leg. "Settle down Rizzardo." Rizzardo lets go of your hand.
"Bugger off you bum!" Rizzardo punches the arm of this other man quite hard.
"Ha! You hit like a girl, ya sissy! Janiven's not going to be interested in your lack of manhood." He grins, then they shake hands, with both of their arm muscles bulging. They squeeze each other's hand, extremely hard as if it were a contest. Finally, the other man let's go. "Damn, okay. Don't have to break it!"
"Ermolos, this is Tristain Stone. He's the new guy who made it through the sewers," Rizzardo looks at your weapon and continues "with a staff? How in the world did you manage getting through the sewer with such a weapon? You need a big weapon! I like huge swords."
Ermolos comments "That's an interesting staff. But, Rizzardo needs a big sword to make up for other smaller aspects of him." Rizzardo punches the other arm of Ermolos again. "Hahaha, must have hit close to the truth, eh? Show me how you use that staff."
"Yah, show us", says Rizzardo.
| Moshley Bodrick |
To Gorvio
Moshley leans in a bit and whispers to Gorvio.
He nods as to assure him what he just said was right.
I do not know where I got these powers, as I said before. And I could only help you with what I have learned so far. Beyond that I do not know what to teach. And it might frighten people, yes, but not if you use your powers the right way they might accept it. And talking in this language might also be frightening to them.
Council Chairman
|
To Moshley
Janiven comes over both of you, whispering.
"Stop it! Both of you! I don't need you frighten people with that kind of grunting language of, whatever it is. This coalition is fragile without Ariel, you'll scare some of them off."
Janiven give Gorvio an angry look. His eyes sparkle and he has a small grin on his face. "But of course" says Gorvio.
Janiven regains her composure and turns to Moshley saying, "Would you like to accompany me to the Rego Pena sector? Let's go see the shop where you can craft. The owner is a good friend of mine, I think you two will get along very well."
| Jimmy Bodrick |
"Jimmy likes the juice!" Jimmy drinks the juice in a few gulps, and listens to the song.
Jimmy: Jimmy thinks this is a weird song. Jimmy doesn't get it.
Voice: It's weird, yes. Just laugh.
Jimmy bursts out laughing when the song's finished. "Jimmy likes this song! Jimmy thinks you're a good singer, Amaya!"
J: Jimmy means that, she is!
V: Uhu, true.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Oh great...I move from Liz Luna to Hans and Frans?!
Tristain subconsciously steps back from the manly men.
"Show you how I use my staff? Well, uh...I'm fine with the staff, but it's nothing that needs to be shown off. What are you guys doing here?" Tristain rebuffs, trying to learn more. "Are you guys the Brute squad?"
Council Chairman
|
To Jimmy
Amaya bows, turns towards you and says, "Why thank you Jimmy. I do try. Do you have a favorite song? I hear you're a performer as well. I haven't gone up to Rego Cader to see you perform, but maybe you could sing a song."
"Maybe this will inspire you, I made it last week at work." She pulls out of her bag a beautiful small glass swan, with different colors when held up to the light. "Just don't make it your swan song!" Everyone laughs at her joke.
Council Chairman

As she leads you out of the safe house, you go up a thin stairway to another hatch that Janiven pushes open. Once through, she closes it and places the rug over the hatch. She say, "Act like a tourist." She opens the door and closes it behind her, which says 'Employees Only - Private' and starts walking around this ornate place that shows some trinkets of Aroden. Janiven looks at a few, points at another, and then moves out.
As you walk into the sunlight, the crumbling statue of Aroden stand above the shrine. "They say the best place to hide a tree is in the forest. Who would suspect. Plus, some of the higher ups in the city wouldn't be seen here anyway."
As you walk in the streets, she tells you want to expect about Rolan. "He's a bit eccentric dwarf, but a genius. You might not understand it, so try not to get into his, um, machines, but they can help you make stuff a lot faster. As a child I would go see his, um, machines work. That's how I got to know him. Don't talk openly about our group, as he'd rather not know anything. It's better for us that way as well."
As you continue in the streets, a young man runs up to Janiven. He then stops and looks at you, and then at Janiven. "It's okay, you can tell me" she says.
"There's rumors, about, Ariel. We think he's been captured. He wouldn't, you know, talk, would he?"
"Of course not. Who has him?"
"I dunno, it's much more hush-hush than anything I've seen before. I'm expecting another message from the island later today." The island is where the vast majority of the nobles live. "If I hear anything new, I'll come. Where are you?"
"Come tell my friend Moshley. He'll be at Rolan's tinker shop."
Council Chairman
|
please see campaign info page for pic of Rolan and the map for the shop's location. As you reach Rolan's shop, you note that he has mechanical beings roaming around his shop. His shop is remarkably clean, as he has one of his mechanical contraptions cleaning the shop constantly.
"Roland, this is Moshley. He's a friend of mine and would like to use your shop for crafting, if that's okay." Janiven smiles at Roland.
"Ahh, huh? Oh, yes, well, huh?
"He's a friend of mine. He wants to use your shop. Is that okay?"
"Why?"
"To use your shop."
"I'm using my shop. I sell stuff." He picks up some strange puzzles and other strange items he sells.
"Yes, I know. He wants to also use your shop."
"Oh, at the same time? Well, sure. Just, be careful of my friends. If you make a mess, one of them cleans up right away."
Janiven turns to you and says, "I think you'll do fine here. When you're done, come back to the, spot, you know."
Council Chairman

To Jimmy and Everyone at the Safehouse
Amaya waits a second to see if Jimmy will sing. "Oh, come now, don't be shy. Here, let me sing one of Areil's favorite songs." In the crowd you hear "Not again..."
There's a sound heard across the land
It's heard across the sea
You'll only hear it if you listen with your hearts
And one day hope to be free
To hear the sound of freedom many gave their lives
They fought for you and me
Those memories will always live in silence
And now it's our time to be free
Where the eagles fly - I will soon be there
If you want to - come along with me my friend
Say the words and you'll be free
From the mountains to the sea
We'll fight for freedom again
Scream out loud for all the world to hear
From sea to shining sea
Let freedom ring and every man be king
To live as one through the years
Now is the time we all must stand together
So raise your hands show them we are strong
Side by side the fight goes on forever
Marching to the battle with this song
Most everyone in the safehouse knows this song by heart, and they all sing along except for Mathalen, who is meditating in the corner.

To Tristain
"Brute squad. Now F an f'n A, that's a F'n great name. No F'n kiddin." Rizzardo likes to curse, one of his 'talents.'
"You don't get to pick the name dummy. Ariel hasn't decided on the name for the group," responds Ermolos. "He's probably dead anyway. He's not strong. He's got great words and a big heart, but not big muscles." Ermolos decides to flex in front of you, pulling off his shirt to show you his big muscles.
"I'll only strip for her. Once she strips for me." Rizzardo points to Janiven. "Janiven, when you gonna move those hips over here? You're avoiding me again! Wench! Haha!" They both laugh for a second as Janiven flips off Rizzardo. "Yes, that's my IQ. So what? Man, I can't wait to bash some Mother-F'n heads! I bet I could squeeze a Hellknight's head so hard that his brains would seep through the helmet."
"Ever kill a man with that stick, Tristain?" Emorlos is curious. Rizzardo looks at you curiously as well at that question.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
"Jimmy thinks that song's beautiful," Jimmy says impressed. He seems to hesitate though. "Jimmy is an actor, not good at singing though. But Jimmy can try...?"
Jimmy: Think of something, Jimmy!
Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
"Look, a bird!" Jimmy quickly casts guidance on himself after using what feels like a masterplan to him.
Jimmy: Surely that worked!
Voice: It... did...?
Perform (Act): 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 1 = 12
With renewed confidence Jimmy starts to sing a song he makes up on the spot. Despite the horrible lyrics, the song has a very catchy tune to it.
"Jimmy smash!
Jimmy smash-es it. A. Looooot!
Smash a lot, la-la-la!
Jimmy bash!
And smash!
La-la-la! Laaaaaa!!!!
JIMMY SMASH IT!!!!"
Council Chairman
|
To Ezren
"Hi" He sticks his hand out, shakes yours. He stares at you.
He doesn't like to talk, but he's friendly. Probably very shy.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain looks at the two with a confused look.
"We don't have a name yet? Do we even have a goal? Why are you guys even here?" Tristain asks.
"Ever kill a man with that stick, Tristain?"
Tristain looks at his 'staff' and back at Emerlos.
"Oh no...this is purely for defense. I can handle it well enough, but I'm no fighter. You guys look like you guys can fight, right? Maybe you want to teach me a few moves so maybe I'll only get mostly clobbered by Hellknights, eh?"
Council Chairman
|
To Ezren
"From outside. I didn't come through the sewers, if that's what you mean." Long pause. He stares and looks around. Seeing that you're not going away, he continues. "How did you get caught up with this crowd?"
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
"Ya, I know some moves. First, you get up and whack them on the head. Then you twist their neck from behind and sh't down their throat! F'n A Mother F'er." He tries to mimic how he would kill someone.
Ermolos giggles a little. "Man, you don't know sh't. You've never killed anyone Rizzardo. That's not how it works in real life."
"F'k you Ermolos. I know I could do it. I just, you know, need someone to show me the right way. I just KNOW I could smash some motherf'kr in the motha-f'n head. I just, well, never had a chance."
Ermolos continues, "Fact is friend, neither one of us have actually killed a man. We want to learn, but, ya know, that would involve joining the dottari or hellknights, and those jerks are well, jerks. They aren't trying to make anything better. This is the best place to learn. Fk'n Ariel being gone and sh't just messing up our plans."
"Not to mention they still have yet to kill a shadow creature. They all wimps with training. Man, with training, I'd be a f'n killin machine. Like a buzzsaw in the forest!"
Council Chairman
|
To Jimmy
A few politely clap. It did have a catchy tune, but it seemed shorter than they expected.
Yakopulio looks up. "Well, sounds like my Black Rat Attack is working. Have another one Jimmy?"
Janiven, having returned after taking out Moshley, says "Start making more of those Yakopulio. We'll celebrate when Ariel finally shows up." Janiven looks a bit worried. "Is everyone getting along okay? Shut up Rizzardo, I know what you're going to say."
Amaya looks at Jimmy closely. "Don't worry Jimmy, I'm sure they'll find Ariel, and you can sing him that song. It was nice."
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain takes his measure of the two meatheads fellow conspirators, suddenly feeling less out of place, but decided more worried now that he realizes that these two are about in the same boat as he is. Though concerned, he tries to make the best of it.
"So...neither one of you is a trained combatant? Pretty much me too. I can do some stuff, but not trained nice. Maybe we could train together? We can meet before breakfast tomorrow and get some work in?" Tristain asks. "We'll spar with staves and knives and swords? Maybe we can learn a bit."
Switching my vision of Emerlos and Rizzardo to Jersey Shore's The Situation and Pauly. And I was horrified by Honey DooDoo.
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
"F'n A. Hell ya. Plus, I'll beat the shit out of you Ermolos before we start, so I'll be the only one learning."
"That is an interesting dream you'll have, because only in your dreams can succeed. Count me in Tristain."
| Tristain the Chalker |
"That is an interesting dream you'll have, because only in your dreams can succeed. Count me in Tristain."
"Yeah, we'll work on it later. It's been a long day and that run through the sewers really had me going," Tristain says, excusing himself and walking over to Tarvi.
"Excuse me, I don't think we've met. I'm Tristain. Tristain Stone. I'm new here. Do you know your way around?"
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
No more NPC introductions after this. I need to move the game forward. So, this will be a bit briefer than the others. Plus, this one takes longer for me to do correctly.
Tavari is a woman with some substantial jewelry around her body. "Greetings Tristain Stone. My cognomen is Tarvi. It is with stupendous gratification that we have a meeting. Why did you wait until the conclusion of your consultations to communicate with me? I had aspired to gain your attention previously, but was unsuccessful."
Council Chairman
|
Some time goes by while you're making your stuff, and Janiven was right that this shop is really something remarkable. The anvil's actually seem to try and attract the hammer, allowing things to be hit harder, as if they are magnetized. The fire burns a lot hotter (almost too hot, where is all this heat coming from?), allowing you to melt stuff very quickly. Roland has machines that walk and talk to some extent.
Every so often, Roland comes up to you and say, "Who are you?" You reply "Moshley, friend of Janiven." "Janiven, she's not here." "She brought me here, remember?" "Oh, yes, I remember, Janiven. What's your name again? Moshley. Oh, well Moshley, what are you doing? Crafting? But I'm crafting. Yes, I know, I'm crafting too. At the same time as me? Yes. Oh."
It goes on like that about every hour or so.
Finally, about 1.5 hours before sunset, some kid comes up to you. "Hey, you're a friend, right? Well, I have a message, right? My message is for, a friend, right?" He seems AWFULLY nervous. He hands you a message, with a wax seal over it. If you wish to read it, you'll likely have to break the seal to look at it. The seal doesn't seem to have any special symbol on it, so perhaps if you broke it, you might be able to seal it again. It's close to closing time, so you don't have much time to decide. You see Roland starting to shut things down, except the fire, which is blazing hot.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tavari is a woman with some substantial jewelry around her body. "Greetings Tristain Stone. My cognomen is Tarvi. It is with stupendous gratification that we have a meeting. Why did you wait until the conclusion of your consultations to communicate with me? I had aspired to gain your attention previously, but was unsuccessful."
Tristain looks at her marvelous 'gems', trying to puzzle out all that she said.
Cognomen? I didn't ask about that.
Tristain rubs the back of his neck, trying to figure out how to answer the woman's question.
"Sometimes you have to look through a lot to know what you want, you know? It's like the old adage 'You find what you're looking for in the last place you look.'" Tristain apologies, trying to save face. "I met Mathalen...who is...uh...different. Then the two big guys. None of them could explain what we are doing here nor who Ariel is very well. I should have come to you first."
Smooth, Tristy, real smooth.
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
Tarvi looks annoyed at your answer. "You find what you look for in the last place because once you found it, you stop looking. It is the affirmation of an example that has to be true." Pause, looking at you intently, like you're an idiot.
She continues "Yes, Mathalen, we have discourse on an array of topics. She is quite interesting to speak with. I find her clear headedness, refreshing. She seeks inner knowledge, but I find a cyclopedia entertaining. She did not explain who Ariel is? That is peculiar; she would probably have the most insight into the half-elf, or anyone for that matter."
"She probably called him the glue or some crude term like that, that holds everything together around here. He's our luminary. I have discerned that his absence is causing significant frustration here."
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain nods along with Tarvi's words, feigning as much understanding as he can.
"Yeah, it's awkward not having a leader and not knowing what is going on. If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering what a woman with your...uh...assets is doing here. You seem to be doing quite well."
Tristain stretches.
"How long have you been in the movement?"
Council Chairman
|
To Tristain
She mimics your movement. "Are you referring to my jewelry, or my brains? My brain is a bigger asset than any jewel. Or did something else catch your eye? As for my duration in this assembly, it lasted longer than my last engagement. Or the last two engagements. Did you know I've been engaged at least a dozen times to men of nobility? All of them crude dolts." She begins to seem lost in thought about her various engagements.
"As for the exact duration, I would say about two weeks to find and gather people. We were just about to decide on a name for our assembly, when you four arrived and interrupted."
| Moshley Bodrick |
Moshley has been crafting his bolts for near an hour an a half now, suddenly a messenger arrives near closing time. He gets a letter sealed with wax put in his hand by a very nervous boy. Moshley opens the letter quickly to read it, for he is very curious and he doesn't want everyone else to see it.
After reading the letter
Moshley bids Roland farewell and heads back to the safehouse, hurrying a bit to not be caught by sunset.
"Good day to you Roland, and pleased to meet you. It was a pleasure to be able to work in your shop."
At the safehouse
Moshley will tell everyone about the workshop and the people there.
Depending on the information in the letter he might tell that too.
Moshley return to the safehouse. He greets everyone inside and begins telling about the workshop.
"It's a magical place that. It's like the machines want to work, it's much faster to work there then anywhere where I have been before. Like the anvil wants the hammer, or the hammer wants the anvil, whatever. It's they they get pulled together! And the forge, never have I seen one this hot and it keeps on burning. There definitely is something magical there."
Council Chairman
|
The letter reads as follows:
"Dottari captured half-elf Ariel on suspicion of treason. Order of Rack demands prisoner for interrogation. Dottari sending prisoner to order today, for transfer to Citadel Rivad tomorrow. There are more traitors."
You can try to reseal it if you wish.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain smiles at Tarvi.
"A name, huh? Yeah, I could get into finding a good name. I bet you have some good ideas," Tristain says. "I'll go think about it too. Maybe we'll talk more later."
Tristain goes to think about good names for the group.
The Unled? The Lost?
Tristain scratches his head.
The We're All Going to be Racked? The Hopeless?
Fearing a bit, Tristain puts his hard mental work aside and goes to check in with Ezren.
"Ezren, what did you learn? Anything?"
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain takes in the measure of Ezren, the only one he knew before today.
"Well, the woman Mathalen, is interesting. Not sure I understand her, but she's fine. A little kooky, but fine. I can't imagine that she's a spy. I met both Ermelos and Rizzardo, and they are both meatheads, with Ermelos only slightly better. And Tarvi, seemed nice. She talks funny too, but I don't understand it. But I think she's being honest," Tristain explains.
"The bottom line is that I think we're safe here. Screwed, but safe."
| Moshley Bodrick |
After finishing his story Moshley remembers the letter he got earlier today. He stands up and waves everyone quiet.
"I have to tell you guys something. I just got this letter at the workshop. Here let me read it to you."Dottari captured half-elf Ariel on suspicion of treason. Order of Rack demands prisoner for interrogation. Dottari sending prisoner to order today, for transfer to Citadel Rivad tomorrow. There are more traitors." I thought you guys would want to know this."
He looks around the group for any response.
"I think we need to plan a rescue for this."
| Ezren Geitus |
"Do they know who the rest of us are or do they just know that Ariel was the leader of a rebel group?" Ezren asks Moshley with a concerned look on his face. "If they know who we are our families will be in danger." ... sorry mom and dad ... looks like justice and freedom will come at a steep price for everyone ...
"I do not know this Ariel but from what I hear from the people in this room is that he is a great leader and the foundation for this group to build from. For us to succeed we must rescue him. Does anyone have a plan?" Looking around the room at everyone.
| Moshley Bodrick |
"I do not know anything beyond this, a young boy came to me with the letter that's all."
Moshley seems to be thinking on the whole problem for a bit.
"I think it might be a plan to for a group and ambush them whilst they are transporting him. Me and Jimmy could make a distraction and then you guys could fetch her, and then we all run or fight. Either way we have to get him out."
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain begins to gather up his gear.
"Sounds like we're done here, huh? Not much we can do with Ariel gone, right?" Tristain asks quietly.
"Wait. We want to go rescue him? Are you sure?" Tristain asks as Moshley and Ezren make suggestions.

"Does anyone know anything about Citadel Rivad? Tarvi?"
"Are we sure we want to mess with Hellknights? Especially those that name themselves after a particularly painful piece of equipment?"
