Stigwold Mæch'Hæmmær |

That idiot should have cast light on Stig.
Stig charges in the direction the missiles came from and attacks the first moron he sees (not including the morons in our party of course).
(Power attack charge) Axe, damage: (1d20+9=19, 1d10+13=20)
I think that makes Stig's AC 16.

Stiggy and those with darkvision...
He puts a hard blow to that first hobgoblin; the hob doesn't fall but looks pretty bad off...
Everybody who has no darkvision sees Stig madly charge into the darkness; hears a clash of arms; the thump of armor and shield like football players smashing at scrimmage; bellowing and wailing and cursing and wetdeath work at hand in the darkness.

Beldan Vale |

Beldan nods to Riese. “Good idea.” However, as he loads his crossbow with the now glowing bolt, Stig charges into the room. Beldan squints after him, trying to aim for anything in the room that moves that isn’t the dwarf.
Crossbow: 17+8 = 25. Damage: 3. Heath, roll miss chance for me as appropriate. Getting the light into the room is the main aim – hitting a bad guy just a bonus.

You hit the guy Stiggy hit; you can shoot right as he charges, and a bolt is faster than a fat dwarf...
The hob isn't dead though. He IS a lamp, and everybody can see any and all spoilered information now. There's the one Stigg is meleeing with, and three others behind him in a row.
Looks like Elgan; Riese; Altai's go; Gittik is holding to charge on a foe or foes behind the door in the hallway that Stiggy has even now charged past.
A door,....with a knocker, with a skull motif.

Riese's Altered Form |

"Ahhh, that's better! WHO FIRED THOSE FIREBOLTS!!! You are nothing but a cut-rate caster! Imebelia furtion de'flar!!!" Riese's Firebolt on one of the casters-5d6=23 damage, DC 18 reflex for half.
"That's a firebolt you pathetic, magic-aping f$%&s!"

dungeonmaster heathy |

We start at "A0", right? Can I move to C5 and unleash a Burning hands at our goblinoid friends? I should be able to hit at least the three closestvof them. Damage 14, Reflex 16 for half.
Also, as I have Mage armour and Shield up, my AC is 22.
Not c5; I assume you mean a4; Stig's at A5. It's a hallway; there's a door at A4; you can maybe go through the door to get to c5(?) it's unknown territory; or you can cast over Stig's shoulder from A4; there's a row of 4 of them at a6,a7,a8, and a9.

Let me know if my description doesn't make sense; c5 may be reachable, but it's beyond the door at a4, and isn't seeable by you right now.

Altai Iscarni |

Aw, crap - I thought it was a room, rather than just a corridor. My bad. Any space behind the last hobgoblin?

Yeah; it's like 5 feet, and then the southern wall of the room.

Riese's Altered Form |

Riese's bolt hits, but doesn't seem to do anything but fizzle out on impact, and scorch the hobgoblin a little bit.
Is this a magical effect that is preventing the spell from working? 1d20 6=23 spellcraft roll to ID the effect.

it doesn't specifically, in the skill description cover this, but I think that's bullox--spirit of the law vs. letter of the law, so...
It....seems to have....the same effect as it might when acting on a drow--the hobgoblin seems to be able to resist the spell's power.Oh; and I did check and apply the 1d6 damage from the spell's description....

Elgan Dreadwood |

OK.
The brave elf-turned Puppy-power yelps and dashes off into the hallway. He runs right up behind Stiggy and slides to a halt, shimmering as he does so. He slides to a halt in Elf form, still on his knees, with with his shield on his left arm. With his free hand he reaches up to tap Stiggy lightly on the back.
"Tag. Yer IT 'chere!" He says gleefully as the green glow spreads from where he touched Stig's back to begin healing his wounds.
Swapped 'Longstrider' for a CLW for +9HP to the battle-hungry little guy! AM now in Elf form, with armor and shield and Barkskin still up, so AC is 21. ADD +2 for fighting defensively (since I cast a heal I did not pull a weapon) for a total of AC23. Go ahead, come through the door! and EAT DRAGONSKIN SHIELD FURFACE!!!) ;P

dungeonmaster heathy |

The dwarf's wounds start knitting together. The door (surprise that) swings open, and another hobgoblin in chain mail stands there, sword ready.
Their attack coming shortly; then Gittik can't charge, but can move up behind Elgan and smite that hob around the corner...

dungeonmaster heathy |

More setup....
the door in the hall leads to a room encompassing b3-5,c3-5, and d3-5, with a door at c5 south, and a hob at b4 about to attack elgan.
the room to the south of the hall encompasses a6-10, b6-10, c6-10, and d6-10, with the door to the aforementioned room at c5/6, and a hall out at d10 running east, and a hall out at c10 running south.
The very injured hob at a6 full retreats to c10, and....his wounds look to be knitting up...
the hob at a7 steps to b6, hits at Stiggy; misses.
the hob at a8 shoots another firebolt; stig saves, takes 5 h.p.
that one steps to b8.
the hob at a9 shoots another firebolt; stig saves, takes 7 h.p.
that one steps to b9.
a10 is where the scorpion Altai summoned is going.
The hob at b5 hits elgan with a longsword, and takes 9 h.p.
I guess since Altai's gone a while,....
in the main room of the trailer, one of the doors to nowhere opens. Curling greenish grey mist protrudes from the doorway, enveloping Altai; beckoning him into sleepwalking into the door. The door slams shut...
don't worry; he's not dead or anything.
Gittik's held action; then it's round 3!!!

dungeonmaster heathy |

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:Gittik can't charge, but can move up behind Elgan and smite that hob around the corner...That'll do me. Rage on, move up and attack: Attack = 9 + 12 = 21, damage = 1 + 6 = 7.
The hob takes a good scimitar to the thigh; he's still fighting but he's bellowing with rancor.
you're at a3.
