Dunklezahn rushes up If this were a movie, the camera would be behind Dunk. The monster beyond him would be blurry, but quickly coming into focus. The audience knows how insane the vesk's move is.
The monster indeed shambles up to him. This close a slew of alerts ans sensors on Dunk's armor go off. The creature exudes radiation! Fort save, but check spoiler With speed it slashes out with a long tentacle: ATK: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28 the battering hit does DMG: 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 6, 1) + 9 = 17 and Dunklezahn can feel it sucking the life into its own body as he is staggered. FORT DC 16 for half damage and negate being staggered.

Gig's spell misses the massive beast! That's rough. I don't know if this beast has an abnormally high EAC or what, but it seems like making a regular too hit on that spell is steep.
The massive thing closes distance. The radiation wafting off the monster is more than the simple armor of the Starfinders can handle. FORT saves for all within 15. See the armor save modifiers above.

This reminds me of scenes in anime where one army just opens up an unreasonable amount of firepower, and when the smoke clears the enemy is barely scratched.
