Rudrik Halvar |

Now much larger and heftier, Rudrik brings both of his swords to bear this time. (The bonus from higher Strength is cancelled out by the penalty from larger size - but damage goes up if I do hit.)
Large longsword attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Large gladius attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Large gladius damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

With the lizard backed into a corner, there is no way to flank it.
Terry strikes, inflicting a minor wound on the reptile. Raddosric tries for a hit, but the blow skitters along the lizard's scales. Thaldal also manages a solid hit, but again, the lizard's thick hide protects it. There is no such protection from Rudrik, however, who buries his gladius deep in the creature. It hisses loudly, but still keeps coming, though it is clearly tiring.
Unable to reach the lizard, and with no spells left of use, Aotor keeps back and watches anxiously. Spugnoir slips in between Rudrik and drags Isinghar to safety.
The lizard snaps at Rudrik, hoping to hit the larger target, but falls short of the mark.
Party is up!
Lizard vs. Rudrik: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 6) + 5 = 17

Emboldened by the shrieks of the lizard, the group attacks with renewed vigor! Terry strikes deeply, narrowly missing a major artery. Raddosric also plunges his weapon deeply into the scaled form, even as Thadal brings his hammer down hard upon the beast's head. Rudrik swings twice but misses with both attacks. Spungoir, having drawn Isinghar out of danger and bandaged his wounds, spares a moment to fire another missile of force at the beast.
Clearly, the lizard is aware that it is losing the fight, and resorts to defensive fighting. It snaps this time at Terry, who caused it the most pain and manages a hit! (Terry is hit for 8 points of damage!) Bleeding from many wounds, the lizard looks about for escape, but cannot find a clear path.
Lizard vs. Terry: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 4 = 17 Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1) + 5 = 8

Terry attempts to hit the lizard, but his blow is deflected by its scales! But it is Raddosric who manages to stab it through the eye! The lizard shrieks wildly, thrashing and taking Raddosric's weapon with it! It breathes heavily twice, then sinks to the ground, still gasping for breath. Rudrick's gladius finishes it off.
Combat over!

The chest holds 33 cp, a scale mail tunic, a light crossbow, and a case of 24 quarrels. Spugnoir casts detect magic to see if anything shows up, and while the chest contents prove quite ordinary, the lizard's corpse, curiously enough, does glow faintly with abjuration magic.

Isinghar is hurt very badly, and Terry has taken some significant damage as well. Rudrik could also use some attention.

Thaldal Farkasten |

Thaldal calls upon Tyr to mend his companions' wounds.
2 channels: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
Cure Light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
I will give up Inflict Light Wounds to cast Cure Light on Isinghar. I have one other spell I can spontaneously cast with if necessary.

Thaldal heals Isinghar and Terry, bringing the dwarf back to consciousness and Terry closer to full health.
Should I continue or have we lost interest/momentum?

My thanks to those of you who have tried to keep this going, but I'm going to shut it down. There appears to be little or no interest on the part of the others.
