| Sir Humphrey Worthington-Smythe |
Sir Humphrey nods, a smile spreading onto his face. "Thank you, my dear. A suitable renumeration would of course be provided by us, too.", he gives a glance at IBAN. "If you're to describe that your couple in as much detail as you are able, you would be aiding the Crown." A well-hearted chuckle emanates from the man's chest. "And such aid is well-rewarded." Pausing for a moment, he smiles to himself. Free enterprise is a double-edged sword, Humphrey, my boy.
"And, of course, if anyone is to ask about us, your discretion would be continually rewarded, as would the information about those curious about us."
I'm not sure how much currency we possess. But I feel like at least double what they given wouldn't be amiss.
What I would like to do is setup a dead-drop with someone - a pawn broker's shop, or something of the sort, where information is recorded by her and collected by us, if she has any, for a fee. That helps avoid her knowing where we work, and her teaming up with someone to scam us - even if money is undoubtedly a minor concern.

Assume that you were given an adequate amount of currency to complete your mission.

C nods, and holds out the tenner, then holds up another 10 pound note, which her memory of the briefing should tell her is significant money for a street hooker. "There's another 10 in it for you, if you can find someone who accepted his offer, and bring them to me in the next hour. If you can't find them for some reason, if you can bring me the reason you can't find them, there's a five in it for you. Now, I'm sure you're curious about why I ask, as I would be. I can't give out all the details, but what I can tell you is that a friend of mine was beaten by a well healed gent when she accepted his offer of fun. He left her with a broken nose and a scar on her forehead. But her memory is all messed up and she can't remember what he looked like now, just that he was well to heel and liked to hang out in places like this pub."

Mei Haruko
|
Mei will break off as they leave Whitechapel and then circle around and find a place across the street in the shadows to watch the area where the next murders are going to take place. Someplace she can see but not get too good a look at who might be around. She hides herself in the alley shadows and waits for her associates to return.

Sir Humphrey pats his moustache ponderously, before nodding. "Hm, yes...", he nods. Access to futuristical health and cosmetic affects would certainly be a symptom of the Centrum disease., he thinks to himself.
"I see. Any other identifiable traits, should you remember them, would be most appreciated.", he adds. "And where did that couple encounter you?", he adds.

C'DETH
The woman nods silently and takes her leave.
HUMPHREY/IBAN
The woman is in agreeance but notes that she cannot read or write, thus a dead drop will not be possible.

IBAN/HUMPHREY
The woman takes her leave of you, having imparted all that she knows.
C'DETH
You waity about a half-hour before the woman returns, with another woman in tow. "This 'ere is Marla. She's been out wit' yer man afore."
Marla smiles through rotted teeth. "A regular gentleman, that one. Didn't want nuthin' but to talk. 'E had a lot o' questions 'bout the state o' things."
AMOS
You catch up to IBAN and Humphrey.
Local Time: September 29, 1888 - 0000 hours

C smiles, and buys the woman a drink, and gets a table for the three. She slides both women another bill under the table. "May I ask what sort of questions he asked?" She asks the woman politely. "And do you know where he lives, and how long he's been in town? He's obviously a foreigner like me."

IBAN/Amos/Humphrey
Your team heads towards Flower Street, which should be just a short walk away.
C'Deth
Marla smiles again, a disconcerting affair. "Yes, 'Guv. 'E was asking 'bout how us working girls felt 'bout the Ripper business. I told 'im, I says, 'Business is business. We's all a little more careful 'bout who we takes on, but a girl 'as to eat.' Ya know? I dunno where 'e lives, but 'e's clearly not from 'round 'ere. I even thought that 'e might be ol' Saucy Jack, but 'e made no move to 'urt me. I sees 'im 'ere a lot, though. 'E's been comin' 'round these parts for a good month or so."
Mei/Ezekiel
The streets are quiet and deserted except for you, each in your respective locations.
Thom
For the sake of argument, let's just say that you've been with Amos, Humprey, and IBAN.
| C'Deth |
C nods. "Thank you very much." She slips the two another fiver under the table. After all, the money doesn't mean much to her. "If you can find someone who knows where he's been staying, I'd be willing to pay a finder's fee, once I confirm he's there."

TEAM HUMPHREY
The address at Flower Street turns out to be a cheap flophouse with several flats. You are easily able to find directions to the flat currently used by the couple that you are seeking (they do tend to stand out, after all).

The door gives way under Amos' booted foot, revealing a small flat with a bed, two chairs, and a writing desk. An iron pot-bellied stove sits in one corner. You catch by surprise the two occupants, both of whom look as out-of-place as bulls in a china shop.
The pair consists of a well-dressed, handsome man with a full beard and mustache, black hair, and brown eyes and a woman with flowing honey-blonde hair and green eyes. Both are immaculate compared to the room around them and both have all their teeth.
You have surprise on them.

"We are here for the same thing that you are, I expect," the man responds calmly, raising an eyebrow. "Let us not mince words. We are here to protect an innocent."

Did you? Been a while since I've actually had to run GURPS. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since I don't have the book in front of me ATM.
| Ezekiel Dubois |
"Lady Mei, how good of you to join me this fine evening," says Ezekiel as he approaches Mei, who is also watching the street where the murders will take place in Whitechapel. "Considering that we have both chosen to observe in this location, may I make a proposal to you? My ability to go unnoticed here is limited. I cannot, unfortunately, pass myself as a lady of the evening as easily as you can. Though I would do my best to try I am lacking in your grace and beauty."
"But this face you see before you is not the only one that I can take. In a moment, I will depart into one of these alleyways. You could perhaps accompany me. In the alley, I will take on a new shape. This form will be better suited to going unnoticed but--wolves have not walked these streets for many centuries. You are a practitioner of the art as well--perhaps you could disguise me further, and make it seem that I am but a mangy dog. From there, I could accompany you more closely. My senses will be heightened and will be more capable in a fight should we be attacked. I warn you, though--I will not entirely be myself when I have donned my skin. But I am sure that you will find me a suitable companion for the night regardless."

Mei/Ezekiel
How long you can maintain an illusion depends on what type of illusion is cast. Complex illusion affects vision and hearing. Perfect illusion covers all senses except touch. Illusion disguise bonds the illusion to the subject, making it move with him/her.
C'Deth
The two women return within the hour. Marla approaches you with another of her rotted smiles, "We found 'im, 'Guv. Turns out that 'e's an out-of-towner staying in an upscale flat about three blocks from 'ere."
