"Well don't be so clumsy in the future, oaf." Rhiannon responds to Kenji.
Then, following Shenendril's advice, the Lady Sarvio plans to venture further into the mausoleum, when she finds her way apparently barred by the sudden appearance of stone walls.
"What sorcery is this? Another trap!? And you fools failed to detect it!" cries the woman. "No matter, we hacked our way through the gate, we will do the same with this wall!" She draws her blade and swings at the wall, before saying, "It is sorcery indeed, the walls are illusions!"

For the best of his knowledge, he wasn't seeing any obvious enemy, and didn't care if the noblewoman wanted to run in front of the party to search for her "chalice".

"There is nothing else here!" Rhiannon cries as she advances toward the tapestry. "I went through tremendous effort, paid good coin, bloodied my hands, and for what?! This?!" She swings at the tapestry with her sword, cutting a swathe from it. She pulls her blade arm hack again, seemingly intent upon hacking the tapestry to pieces!

Imjah moves aside and commands his giant frog friend to stop Rhiannon. His amphibious ally hops into position behind Pelagos and its tongue shoots forward, past the armored man, to latch onto the woman and pull her back.
Giant Frog Tongue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 vs touch AC w/soft cover
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Pull: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

His eyes burn bright red, and it's as if fire from the environment is pulled towards him. It's very bright and loud, until he finally shapes his hands and shoots a blast of pure flames against her.
Attack (vs. Touch): 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 19
Damage (fire): 1d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6

As one kitsune shoulders his crossbow, the other kitsune detects a single faint aura-- that is until the tongue of the giant frog pulls the noblewoman past his gaze.
Then a fiery blast scorches Rhiannon. Rhiannon, Reflex save (DC 13): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Quickly quenching the flames, the woman calls out to her steed and hawk, "Zephyr! Triumph! Sword!" Double move action
Responding to their training, the two animals attack.
Zephyr, the horse, rears up on its hind legs and attacks the giant frog that hold his mistress. Melee (hoof): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Damage (hoof): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Melee (hoof): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 Damage (hoof): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
It's hooves stamp down on the frog.
Triumph, the hawk, then swoops down on the sylph with it's talons ready.
Melee (talon): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 Damage (talon): 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0
Melee (talon): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 Damage (talon): 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2

Shenendril doesn't mind so much that Kenji is taking the woman's armor, there is a long tradition of plundering those you conquer, after all. She's a bit embarrassed as he strips down to do it though and a faint purple shade comes to her cheeks as she looks away.
"Does anyone mind if I take these? Belthelgior's too small to be very dangerous in a fight but he's very fast and can deliver healing potions and can throw things pretty much anywhere on a battlefield," she says as she joins in examining Rhiannon's possessions. She's tempted by the crossbow and will take it if no one else does, though she knows she'll be trading damage for likelihood to hit.
She'll leave tying the stripped down woman to a tree to whoever is interested and move in to investigate the crypt. Searching for the treasure mentioned in the notes.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Hopefully no one minds if Shenendril snags the consumables. Belthelgior is tiny and doesn't have an inherent ranged attack so he would have to provoke AOOs from most opponents to fight them. But he does have 100' perfect flight and Flyby attack so he can get to most opponents, fling a thrown weapon at them and get away. And he can get to someone to pour a potion down their throat if Shenendril can't get to them.

Nonlethal is tracked separately. Pelagos and T'Shar dealt sufficient lethal damage to drop her well below 0 HP before she could act again.
The tapestry is non-magical. Only the woman's potion produces a magical aura.
As night falls, the party finds that they have uncovered all items of monetary value at the cemetery.
The party can decide what they wish to do with Rhiannon, but ultimate fate upon surviving is not within the scope of the Quest. She paid off the watch, so they are avoiding the cemetery this evening, but they (and the noble families) will deal with her in accordance with the information that they are provided.

Right, but nonlethal knocks you out when it's equal to your current HP not your total so there was a chance that the nonlethal knocked her out before Pelagos's last last swing, but it doesn't actually matter since she's alive now.

Commencing Quest the Second
Following the instructions left in Ulisha’s journal, the party departs for Varno.
Varno is a land of chilling moon and rolling orchards. There, peasants cling to centuries-old traditions, fears, and superstitions. Amid misty pastures and groves the heritage of the Varisian people still flourishes, and furtive arts passed down through centuries reveal power in cards, song, and blood.
After the dead returned to dust, some wandering Varisians resettled Varno, bringing with them their ancient ways and the reminder that a land holds no memory—only its people can do that. Yet for all the resilience and wisdom of Varno’s populace, their stories are less akin to fairytales and more like grim epics, rife with tragedy, warnings, and righteous suspicion. Few in eastern Ustalav don’t know of the hardships faced by their people or the suddenness with which paradise might transform into pandemonium. Thus, the people of Varno live by the timeless Varisian maxim, “Welcome your sister, but never let her keep her knife.”
The peasants of the land also spread innumerable tales of vampires and their hosts of deadly kin, immortal witches, children of shadows, malicious faeries, fiends wearing the skins of humans, and countless other predators seeking to make meals of mortal lives and souls.

I'm good for another quick one! Hopefully we can fit it, as this character is already set on the first session for gameday. I just love this little crazy fire dude
About the party decision: I believe we went with taking her to the authorities (from what I could gather). As for loot - I was under the impression that in PFS we don't actually get anything no matter what? That there's only like a "fixed loot" at the sheet, and that's about it? Otherwise, I would like the masterwork chain shirt (Kenji, it would be quite useful for my build as well). I definitely could find use for stuff like the horse, the crossbow, the hawk and the holy symbol as well :) But that's why I think we have "fixed loot" instead.
T'Shar was young and absolutely clueless about geography or anything nature related. Yet, he followed the instructions in Ulisha's journal with the others and traveled to Varno.
Diplomacy (Aid another)?: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (3) + 0 = 3 He's an absolutely zero on these rolls! Lol

This character is not signed up for anything. I'd like to play them all out, if possible since this will be the 2nd time I've played this scenario and not completed it (I only got 1 quest in the first time.
You're right about the loot overall T'shar. There's a standard sheet at the end but you can use any loot you find in the adventure during the adventure. Even though we're moving on to another quest, it's still the same adventure so we can keep using it until the last quest we do, so you can use the chain shirt, crossbow, etc. until we finish.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Shenendril is also of no help in figuring out anything about what they're heading into but follows the instructions given to get there, ready for the next adventure.

I'm good for another quick one! Hopefully we can fit it, as this character is already set on the first session for gameday. I just love this little crazy fire dude
I will report the first quest shortly and provide a chronicle prior to Game Day for anyone who wants one. However, please note that you can continue to play this PC in subsequent Silerhex quests only as long as you don't play the PC in another scenario. Once you play the PC in a different scenario, you can't play the remaining quests with the same PC (though you can play with a different one and get a separate chronicle sheet).
NOTE: Completing 1 quest gets you 1 XP, 1 Prestige and 100 gp. Completing each remaining quest nets you either more gold or a boon (and after completing 4, another prestige.

I would say that I do not play this character during Gameday then. ;-) GM Valen, you would also wait for us to continue this quest after Gameday, right?

”Oh Wow! The instructions left in Ulisha’s journal are really demanding. Leading us to Varno. I know a lot about this area! Listen ... “

Please read the first two spoilers.

The whole party journeys to the Forrest of Veils to asks for directions to find the rocks in the stream near Cannibal’s Grove.
” Team! A lantern whose magic is hidden by the grove’s own magic is our target! Let us find the grove!“ Kenji says.
Kenji immediately starts asking around to find someone that can give them directions.

Once I join the Gameday, maybe I could bring a different character for the remaining quests with the group. Now... What about my question on loot? I'm still a little confused.
Only one PC can get the armor or any other item at the moment and can just use it. As you already have +4 armor , would it be ok if Kenji with his current +2 armor wears the chain shirt armor as a frontline character? I have not adjusted my stats so if you really want the chain shirt it is definitely yours during the scenario! ;-)

@ Kenji - Yes, I intend to run any uncompleted quests after Game Day (though I may be able to be talked into resuming earlier depending on when games finish - my Game Day plate is currently very front loaded).
@ T'Shar - Shenendril's understanding matches mine. Loot can be kept from quest to quest (when players are the same throughout - it is just like running a single, longer adventure with 6 "scenes"), but is "lost" once the series finishes or there is a break in continuity in the players (i.e., a new player joins or one drops) as it is then treated like separate scenarios at that point.

I will move us along to improve our chances of completing one or two more quests before Game Day. Those who haven't already attempted a previously posted check may feel free to do so with their next post.
You travel through Varno without incident, seeing little of the region’s timid peasantry. Those you meet seem to be highly suspicious of you and unwilling to talk much. Any attempt to speak of Cannibal’s Grove to the locals seems to result in a swift end to any dialogue, often accompanied by the local muttering a quick chant, saying a prayer, or gripping a talisman of some sort.
Eventually, your travels lead you to a crumbling, moss-choked inn standing alone at the road’s end. Looming over its squat frame, a dense curtain of foliage marks the border of the Forest of Veils. The sign above the door reads “The Restless Bear,” and it seems to refer to a stuffed bear’s head that lolls upon a flagpole near the eaves.

”Oh guys look: the head belonged to a juvenile brown bear ... a species common to this area usually sparse with predators! This has been stuffed long ago, it has begun to look rather mangy!“
Kenji walks to the door and enters the inn.
He walks to the bar.
”Hello! How are you fine people here! We are looking for directions to canibal‘s grove. Can you help us out?!?“

@Kenji: fine for me! I just wanted some clarification on the "post-quests" thing, since we have the option of choosing the gold instead (I assume everything we buy with the gold would also "expire" after the pack of quests, right?)
@GM: Let's continue, yes! Sorry for the OOC here. Hopefully I can wrap this second one before the gameday (and, if you're okay with it, I could bring another fresh character to continue after that)
T'Shar follows Kenji around, looking curiously around. His eyes go directly to the bear's head as the kitsune points it; the ifrit wasn't really too used with this kind of inn, as much as his companions probably were. He kept it to himself, trying to pretend he was "becoming more seasoned".

Kenji walks to the door and enters the inn.
He walks to the bar.
Upon entering the The Restless Bear inn, you find (perhaps to your dismay) that there is no bar--only a few stuffed pads, centered around a rustic table surrounded by a number of old, weathered chairs. In the far corner, stands a pot-bellied stove.
The one-story hostel features plain walls, simple wooden doors, and shuttered windows. The common room feels like a cave, its sagging rafters clogged with yarn, shabby ribbons, and odd miniature knick-knacks that reinforce its claustrophobic atmosphere. Smoky, tallow fat candles keep the interior of the inn in a state of dim light.
The inn’s only visible occupant is a spindly, old woman—presumably the hostess. ”Good afternoon, travelers.” she begins to say, in a rough, wavering voice. However, with the mention of Cannibal's Grove, her wrinkled face immediately drops. "Cannibal’s Grove?!” she says with several stern shakes of the head. “ ’Twas where the old Famished Shaman worked his blasphemies! Anybody with good sense’n their head should know to avoid that place.”
”An’ yas askin’ wheres ta find it?” she continues. “I’m not keen ta put my own soul in peril, steerin’ yas to such unhallowed spots! This old woman canna' fathom just what madness musta overtaken yas all ta make yas want ta go there.”[/b]
"Nah, ole Birdy here can assure ya that ya're better off spendin' partakin' of some bread'n stew, spendin' the night 'ere, then movin' on in the mornin." she suggests.
Diplomacy takes a minute of interaction to attempt a check. I will keep the result, but allow for more discussion before I resolve it.

She guides my path so you can feel comfortable that we are capable and adventurous enough to be safe in the grove. So please... how do we get there?“ Kenji asks.

"We appreciate your hospitality and your anxiousness about our safety, but the entire reason we came here is to visit Cannibal Grove. Of course, we know that it is a dangerous place given how ominous it's name is. But we would have traveled all this way for no reason if we didn't visit it and we're not the kind to give up easily. I'm sure there are other dangerous places in the area and you wouldn't want us wandering into them while trying to find what we're looking for would you? Better to just tell us the fastest, easiest way to get there, don't you think?" Shenendril adds.
Use this either as an aid attempt to Kenji or standalone if that's allowed.

Each PC may give me a Perception check with his or her next post.
