I just realized this when I was planning to update my character..if we plan to do all of the Emerald Spire with the same PFS character..we needed to take some lvls on slow progression..and I think this lvl is one of those, right?.
We are still planning to do that right? If so, can I change my chronicle to going slow progression?

I'm going to hold off on leveling Makkoa until we figure out if it should be slow progression or not. If so, we wouldn't level right now, correct?
I've never switched a character to slow progression before, so I'm a bit clueless on this.

We would slow track this to stay on point for the whole Emerald Spire, so just halve everything but the day job money.
Zcha will be getting a scroll of Ride the Waves for the next level based on the name. This is seven hours of swim speed and water breathing for 700 GP or 2 PP.

So we take half PP and half gold for the last level completed?

I already corrected my chronicle, Tek!

I don't need a new chronicle, but would someone post exactly what we should add, as far as PP, Fame, and gold? I want to be sure I'm right before I change things. Thanks.

Since we were able to determine the name of the next level the only changes I made to my character were to switch my wandering spirit to waves, select a few different spells and buy a scroll of water breathing along with a pearl of power (lvl 1). Ready to go

I will be going on vacation starting Friday and will have no internet access for the vast majority of the time I'm away. I should be back a week from Sunday. Please bot my PC as best you can please!

Note: I will be leaving Saturday, Aug. 22 for a ten day trip to Italy. The hotel is supposed to have wifi, and I hope to have time in the evenings to update. That being said, this is my and my wife's first trip to Italy and I foresee being exhausted in the evenings as we try to cram in as much sightseeing as possible. I'm currently in the process of moving the maps to Google Slides, so that I have a modicum of edit ability from my mobile. I will return late Sept. 2 and will back to regular posting Sept. 3/4.

I am leaving for vacation to North Carolina tomorrow evening and I will be gone until the 4th of October. I should still be able to update every day, but some days might prove inconsistent.

I had a question about potions of water breathing (purely academic, of course!). The spell nominally lasts for 2 hrs/level, so a base cost potion will give 10 hours. However, that duration is divided among all the people on whom it's cast. Can a potion be divided that way, subject to the requirement that everyone affected has to drink at around the same time?

I'm pretty sure that was a rule in a former edition, but I can't remember if it was AD&D or what. I've not seen anything for Pathfinder about it, I don't think.

To be honest I'm not sure, but I don't think you can share potions in Pathfinder (earlier versions of dnd had potions with multiple servings, but I haven't seen any of those yet)
And on a related subject, it get's even weirder when you have an alchemist with extracts of communal spells...does he share his extract with the rest of the party..or does he drink it all and the "distributes" what he has in his mouth to those he wants to share the spell with...because unless you take the discovery..you can't share extracts with others

Just to inform you; Monday afternoon till somewhere around Wednesday late in the evening I'll be traveling for work. During which time I may or may not (most likely not) have access to the internet.
So I might not be able to update for the next few days.

As a heads up, I will be taking the Illinois Bar Exam on Tuesday and Wednesday and travelling to Chicago on Monday. I am aiming to still get posts up, but I cannot promise that it will happen.

I think it might be time to either call it on Emerald Spire (and pick it up again at a later date) or have someone step up to fill Tek's shoes. Thoughts?

I'd prefer going on hiatus, and letting Tek pick it back up when he has more time. (Speaking selfishly, I'd like him to concentrate on playing in EF's Shattered Star game, which is well into Part 6, and on playing in my Emerald Spire game.)

@Feral: Thanks for wrapping that up for us! Feels weird that we were so close to finishing that level.
Also, no day job.

You don't want to slow track this level. You're actually on track for the next several floors.
Drowned Level (the one you just completed): Level 4
Clockwork Maze: Level 5
Shrine of the Awakener: Level 6
Circle of Vissk-Thar: Level 7
Spire of Axis: Level 8
Magma Vault: Level 9
Tomb of Yarrix: Level 9
You shouldn't slow track until Magma Vault otherwise you're going to be behind a level for the next six floors.

Hmm..according to the advice they give with the additional rules with the chronicles there are a bunch of lvls which have an * and are adviced to be run at slow lvl, which include lvl 4 (Godhome) and lvl 5 (The Drowned lvl).
Which just looking at the table is....odd advice. If we hadn't taken slow advancement we'd still be on track till dungeon lvl 10 before we need slow track..it would just mean we'd be at the top lvl range instead of being in the adviced middle lvl.
Guess I should have payed a bit better attention before
