It has been over two centuries since the dwarves had a proper kingdom of their own, but what was lost can be reclaimed, what was broken can be reforged.

If the sons and daughters of stone are brave, cunning, and strong enough, they may yet craft a new kingdom over the old. They may yet claim a Throne of Night.

So finally decided on. Feat and it is alignment channel good. That way Kragg can channel to aid in the summons of monsters as well. It is also a prerequisite for possibly taking a prestige class if Kragg eventually wants to go more up close and personal with his religious ways.

I have never tried a prestige class before and hopefully it works out ok. The stigmata rules seems like an interesting twist on it and I can easily see the stigmata coming from wounds around his wrists like manacles when Zuth was captured.

GM, would Ulfgar be able to work with the bome that was used to create the spear to fashion a bow for himself?

Haven't done much crafting but see if I'm right.
Composite Longbow 100gp(DC21) + +3 strength rating 300gp(DC21) + MWK 300gp(DC20) = 700 gp or 234gp to craft

2340sp / (15*15) = 10.4 wks or 31 wks if the whole 700 gp has to be crafted

Don't think this will be any kind of bargain quite yet as with only a +4 craft to make 30 checks I'm guaranteed to miss quite a few and repay a portion of the material cost. Best let the master do what he does best, sorry Hannarr.

A belated Merry Christmas to all.

This is not a good time of year for me, but thanks to a number of unexpectedly fortunate circumstances, it was less uneasy than I feared it would be.
As you may recall, my mother died a year ago yesterday. I was somewhat expecting to 'honor' the anniversary by being even more of my usual anti-social, misanthropic self & closeting away for the thirty-some hours from the preceding night to this morning. Instead, thanks to having volunteered to dogsit my bosses' daughter's dog while they were out of state for the holiday, in combination with having volunteered a movie pass to a friend to see Episode VII, I found the day entirely too full of activity to sustain the requisite melancholy.

Of course, as the dog in question is a large, active one, I have comparatively little 'free time' to post online, and will continue to have a dearth of same for the next week and a half. Fortunately, after such an extended hiatus, I will likely be chomping at the bit to move play along, so I should be quite ready to post frequently.

One can hope at least.

I appreciate everyone jumping back on the bandwagon so quickly again despite constant lengthy delays on my part.

I worry we may have lost Anka. It looks like the player hasn't posted in any of his games in quite awhile if I'm reading things right, well, not since mid January. I hope all is well

Assuming I'm able to use Kragg's smithy for Modnar's Craft skill, I'm trying to determine how this check would work out. Since the silversmithing is only being done in idle time rather than 'dedicated work', would cutting the gp total in half be reasonable?

Craft (jewelry): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Cut in half, that'd be fifteen gold, which would be 7.5 when halved again.

Also, in case anyone's curious, the speech Modnar gave to Frelin isn't exactly new; I've had that same talk with students, just using mathematics instead of magic. :-)

So generally thinking for kingdom building that we spend another week here to fulfill obligations for the next month and that will give us 6 weeks of exploration in the jungle. If Ridge is ok with written orders and a plan then we can be gone for another 4 weeks. 10 weeks should get us clear of most of the jungle hexes, the important ones anyways.

Outside of rushing right away to X any thoughts on where to go in the jungle next? I would clear out the area around I more to give us some breathing room and know what is all there.

Part of that might be on my own less than sterling example.

Lately I've been trying a 'I'm still here' post in either the discussion or gameplay threads even when I'm waiting on others. It's my hope that it lets folks know I'm still around even if I'm not sure it's ' my turn'.

that is a great approach as well. It lets others know you are still here and ready to continue. Now I understand if live gets in the way for a day or 2 but beyond that is tough for me to handle without a quick post saying "life got hectic will be back in a few days." Takes 30 seconds for that.

Not to discourage anyone, but here's a new wrinkle in our situation.
I got a PM from Dolgrin's player that he would not be able to continue
in the Throne of Night game. I don't know the full story, but I suspect something has come up in Real Life for him, and if so I completely understand that.

Exactly what I will do with Dolgrin the character, I'm not sure.

Well the easiest option is to have Dolgrin remain at Fastevalt and rule from there. We can open recruitment for a gnome replacement, escaped dwarf, or even a certain kobold. Gives some options to entice new applicants.

Any one able to download the maps from his character so we don't lose them?


Good point about the maps. I'm terrible at managing computer files so I'm at a bit of a loss.

Let's see who is still among us before I decide whether or not to open recruitment.

I have most of them showing on my Google drive account from accessing them. Which ones specifically do you need? And at need I can just ask for the ones I no longer have.

Leaving Dolgrin to lead in Fasturvault seems like the appropriate thing to do, and easiest for you Ridge, don't have to kill him off or leave for unknown reasons at the moment and you have a ready made NPC already.

Same could be said for Anka's character as well, if you've yet to get a response from her player.


Well, Anka's player actually posted for the first time in many weeks yesterday if I read right, but only once. So not sure if he's back on the boards period or not.
