Mornaura |

"Oh by the spirits," Mornaura hisses again, "couldn't you shout a bit louder to make sure the whole fort wakes up?"
Trusting Norn to keep the zombie away from her a little longer, Mornaura draws the wand of CLW, then focuses on the battlement again, still waiting to Slumber hex the bandit as soon as she can see him.

GM Nel |

Zombies are slowly being chopped to pieces, when finally something happens up at the catwalk. One of the bandits finally makes it over and starts to look over the palisade.
"Well, would ye look at dat! Look's ta me like we got us some dem intruders in here. Hee, hee, woke up dem zombies. Well suits y'all good for thinking you would get in ta da fortress." He takes out a bow.
Tired of him talking, Mornaura lets her hex fly.
save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Konk! The bandit falls down next to Bingo, snoring although not loudly.
Ionnia's face shows a bit of fear when once again more hands break the surface of the earth. Zombies continue to crawl out of the ground around the group.
The existing ones approach the nearest people, while the one in front of Norn takes a swing.
slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
But it's not enough to land on Norn.

With a rumble of battlerage at ever increasing smellbadwrongs, Purrcy will 5' step to the nearest intact zombie and have at him. (Step to J8, attack one at J9.)
Claw Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 9 - 1 = 10

Kaeso swings the handaxe at the nearest zombie
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
"I think we ought to get into the keep. These zombies just keep coming!
He moves between the two northern zombies and tries to take a position just next to Ionnia. Got to protect the spellcasters. . .

GM Nel |

I think it's only one Trip attempt (on the Bite attack), isn't it?
Yes, that's correct. Was going to mention last time but forgot
One of the zombies takes a swipe at Kaeso as he goes by!

Dris will risk casting levitation with a zombie standing right next to her. They seem to be moving slow, and maybe they can't see in the dark...
Then she will run on the ground to the wall, then levitate to the top. Once she sees what's what she'll decide where to go next. The darkened pebble is still exposed.

GM Nel |

Strategic retreating grabbing Kaeso and heading to the fort. defensive withdraw.
should make my AC 2 points higher?
I don't think this exists in Pathfinder. There is also a drag maneuver if you wanted to move Kaeso, but its a standard action.
Chcecking to see if there are any re-considerations before I move along. Also answered Dris' questions on other thread.
Lady Ionnia Orlovsky |

I know Withdraw does, so i will than change it to the following
Ionnia sets her self up to defend her self from the stem of Undead, She than Channels the power of her Goddess again.
Total Defense
Channel Energy 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10
" Every one get to the Fort I will try and hold these Zombies"

GM Nel |

Sadly both total defense and channel energy are standard actions (unless you had the feat Quick Channel), so I'm going with you channeling to harm.
Ionnia once again calls the power of Shelyn to banish the undead. She presents her holy symbol and streams of positive energy emanate out to cover the field!
Zombie will saves!
Z1 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Z2 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Z3 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Z4 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Z5 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Z6 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Z7 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
The zombies all WRITHE in pain, and three explode in a small burst of ash and bone...
With the zombie next to her disintegrated, Dris is able to quickly cast levitate and her over to the wall.

Norn Sentor |

"Retreat? From banishing these foul undead!? Never. I am no Pharasman, but they are a mockery of natural life. Erastil demands their destruction!"
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
If zombie destroyed, move to the next one.

Mornaura |

Seeing that most of the zombies have been purged by Ionnia's channeling, Mornaura hurries to get into the fort before more zombies emerge or the bandits join the fight. She runs the few yards straight up to the palisade and tries to climb over it.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Is that enough? And does it take one or two move action(s)?

GM Nel |

Mornaura runs to the palisade and climbs up. climb at quarter speed, so 2 move actions
The zombies, having flesh to devour, begin attacking the party!
Zombie 1 on norn
slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Purrcy next, who will attack the nearest zombie. Kaeso to follow.

![]() |

Remember Purrcy was at J8, last round. I put him there to deflect attention from Ionnia. So... if you want the 3rd zombie to try to attack Purrcy... eep. But at least Purrcy's AC is 24 with Mage Armor. Whatever happens there, Purrcy will then go at the zombie close to Ionnia.
With a playful yowl, now that they seem to be defeating the badmeat things, Purrcy slashes away at the nearest creature.
Claw Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 9 - 1 = 11
Claw 1 Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 2 = 5
Claw Attack 2: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 1 = 20
Claw 2 Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 9 - 1 = 12
Bite Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 = 6
Trip: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
His enthusiasm seems to be slowing down, but gets in a good slash.

![]() |

what does dris see on the other side of the palisade? and how high is that nearby roof section? For her action she'd like to go up to the nearest roof, depending on height and if any bandits are visible
Good job with those zombies she whispers to Ionnia, via Message already activated earlier

GM Nel |

Uploaded a new map with the stag lord fort. NOTE that the direction has been reversed (i.e., the stag lord fort map the bottom is actually north) for ease on me.
Morn and Bingo have jumped the palisade, and are currently on a 2nd story caltwalk. Bingo can see the first floor below, and morn can see into the neighboring guard tower, which currently seems empty.
The catwalk seems to circle the center structure, an old stone building.

![]() |

Since we posted the Q&A about casting levitation, move 15' horizontally, then 5' up-- on the discussion board-- I think you forgot that Dris was levitating at the top of the palisade at the end of last round. :(
Dris will levitate up to the top of the archer's tower, and look around before deciding what to do next. (now bottom left, instead of top right, yes?) She is still enfolded in a 20' darkened sphere.
This is only her move action. She is waiting to find out what she sees before deciding on a standard or another move action.

Mornaura |

Hm, let's see... Mornaura doesn't know about the guard in the farther tower. She couldn't see him anyway - she actually can't even see much of the neighboring tower any longer - because of Dris' darkness sphere. So...
Since she can't see anything in or behind the sphere of darkness, the witch looks around for a way into the center building, and tries to scale the wall of the ruin to find out what's up there.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Assuming she manages to reach the edge, she'll peek over it. If there's a roof or something, she'll climb up and lie flat on her stomach.

GM Nel |

Peeking over the cobblestone wall, Mornaura sees three other guards, all asleep in their bedrolls. They sleep with leather armor on, and weapons on their side. There is no roof on this second story, and the floor of the second story in the building inside is partially collapsed, although Mornaura's field of vision into the room is not great, and it is very dark in there. Only the moonlight illuminates it.
One of them is snoring quite loudly, and looks quite large. He has a greatclub with him, and he must be at least 7 feet tall. Human, but quite burly and built.
The last zombie left 5' close to Norn and takes a swipe!
slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
But the zombie is almost swinging blindly at this point.
"Purrcy, finish up this guy and let's get into the fort." says Norn.

With an obliging rumble, Purrcy runs around the final zombie to flank with Norn. (Provokes AoO?)
Claw Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 9 - 1 + 2 = 11
Claw 1 Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 2 = 4

Kaeso the Human Fighter |

Presuming Purrcy didn't hit.
"Curse these zombies. Die, er, again and begone!"
Kaeso strides to the zombie and executes a flanking attack with the handaxe.
1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 2 = 27
Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Quietly to Norn: "We need to get in there, but I don't want to wake sleeping guards. Should we wait for a signal? I'm kind of clanky when I walk."

![]() |

Holding for Bingo's action.
Depending on which direction Bingo goes. If he goes to take care of guard in top left tower, and doesn't ask for help, Dris will explore in a different direction.
If he goes for the lower level, she'll try to handle the guard herself.

Bingo Underbough |

Sorry, had to spend a couple of days in the hospital. High fever, which is a big concern for transplant patients. Back now, getting caught up.
To Mornie, "We'd best take care of th' guard thet's awake before worryin' bout the ones sleepin'. Keep an eye on 'em, lass, me 'n Dris'll take the one in the tower."
He then moves towards Drispeera, motioning her to follow him with the darkness and sneaks up on the tower
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

![]() |

I'm glad you're home and feeling better! Not sure how far Bingo got. Did he double-move?
She'll message Purrcy quietly...Come to mama! Over here boy.
And then to Bingo, still whispering via message I'll lead you up in the Darkness. Then when we're close I'll cover up the darkness and distract him, and you sneak up behind him, ok?
After all that talking, Dris will lead Bingo as far "Current North" as he can move this round.

Mornaura |

Urgs. Welcome back!
"What? Well, thanks for notifying," the witch hisses down. She shifts around on the wall, trying to find a somewhat comfortable position, and continues to observe the sleeping bandits.
I'm readying my slumber hex again - if one of those guys wakes up, I try to send him back to dreamland immediately.

Kaeso the Human Fighter |

Kaeso attempts to climb the wall, and then will reach down to help up Norn.
Climb 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
If he has a chance, he'll try to get a clear arrowshot in support of Bingo and Drispeera.
Scratch that. He'll try climbing again, since he's apparently too clumsy to climb a short wall. Anyone have a rope?
Maybe I could just throw Norn up.
