Adinomo finds nothing of interest in the room and does not find any traps.
Next room
The guild’s goblin thieves sleep here when not out scavenging and stealing. Smelly bedding, moldy food, and rubbish lie scattered about.
Tebed Cryos
|
Following Adinomo to the second door, Tebed looks at the door at the far end of the disgustingly dirty chambers.
Another door. And it is technically to the left. Should we continue through it?
Pau
|
Pau nods. "Let's keep checking all these different rooms. Let nothing sneak up behind us. I doubt he goblins will fight with any sense of honor."
| GM Ietsuna |
Venturing to the next door the group peer into the next room.
The ceiling of this room has partially collapsed, creating a two story space to the west while exposing the chamber above to the east. Rubble lies haphazardly about the place, with some other larger pieces serving as tabletops for crude alchemical apparatuses. Soot, scorch marks, and other chemical residues cover many of the chamber’s walls and other surfaces. A sizable slab of jagged debris leans against the broken edge of the upper level’s floor in the room’s center. The upper level seems clear of wreckage and contains several wooden worktables. Opposite the entrance, a set of stone steps that once rose to the upper level are broken away halfway up their length. The whole chamber smells of burnt oil and acrid chemicals.
There are two goblins within this room.
I need to add them to the map. I will do that soon
| GM Ietsuna |
Ekkie seems entranced by the "fire makers" inside and does not seem to hear Adinomo.
This is clearly a lab for producing copious amounts of alchemist's fire. There seems to be one in charge (blue) since he periodically shouts orders at his assistant (red).
They are thusfar unaware of your presence.
Adinomo
|
"I knew I forgot something, I should have bought sap! I will try to take it easy on them"
Adinomo sneaks into the room with his rapier ready, moving up to the boss goblin

Urias Leogil

Urias waits to pounce on the goblins though he's unsure about actually knocking them out as opposed to killing them.
He sniffles as his nose runs again.

Yarak is struck by Adinomo but the blow does not draw blood, only causes a nasty bruise. Now that Yarak is aware of your presence he pops open a vial of some liquid and drinks it. His muscles seem to grow and he looks more imposing.
Adinomo, you get an AoO for him drinking a mutagen

Adinomo easily dodges the flames and tumbles closer to the goblin. He stands ready with his rapier for one of his companions to flank the alchemist.
Urias Leogil
|
Urias slowly makes his way in as he sniffles.
The place seems to be a little to cramped for him to be swinging his weapon.....
"You know, you all seemed to be doing well enough....." he hesitates
| GM Ietsuna |
In one shot Jarlaxle drops the lab assistant. Jarsk and Adinomo are unable to land a blow or arrow on the mad alchemist.

Tebed's first strike finds its way through the armour and strikes home.
Yarak draws an extract and drinks it. He disappears from view.

You manage to grievously wound Yarak before he disappears. He does however manage to become invisible before you manage to take him down completely.
So long suckers you hear from the doorway as he disappears into the sewers.
Combat over
You now have a chance to look around the room. You see that there is a “strategic blueprint” in charcoal upon the east wall. It’s an extremely rudimentary pictorial map of Magnimar with fire and smoke pouring from the buildings, as well as numerous dead dogs, horses, and humanoids.
Ekkie too looks around in amazement, but her attention is drawn by all of the "burny stuff" in the room. As you all look around the room she edges closer to a stack of alchemist fire flasks and swipes one, slipping it under her jerkin.
What now my merry band of adventurers? Sorry for the upbeatness.
Had a really good gym session this morning.
Urias Leogil
|
"See? a confused Urias states.
"See what?"
He looks around as the others clear teh room of anything useful and valuable.
"I really didn't see anything....And I think the other goblins likely know we're here."
| GM Ietsuna |
Besides the flasks of Alchemist's Fire you find nothing else of interest in the room.
| GM Ietsuna |
Next room
A large stone channel bisects this dank chamber. Thick masonry pipes clutter the room, feeding into the channel or flowing across the ceiling. A stone walkway without a railing crosses the channel, but crude barbed caltrops litter the length of this bridge. The entire chamber is damp and moldy, and the faint sound of dripping water resonates softly through the area.
On the other side of the channel you see three goblins and a goblin dog. One of the goblins is seated upon the dog and appears to be dressed as an entertainer or something similar.
As your group enters the room the room the entertainers sings mockingly about each of you –1 penalty on attack and damage rolls and a –1 penalty on saves against fear and charm effects

Sorry. I got distracted while updating the map. A hazard of GMing from work. Entertainer is green and doggy is under his butt.

Urias considers the wisdom of joining his more agile companions as he oves up while coughing. Looking at the point and decides it would be most wise not to even try it considering he has had never managed any successful jump even in a forsaken desert.........
Instead he holds his halberd up to deflect any possible projectiles....
