Jinx barely leaps over both kobolds on her path to the archer in the back!
Give me your standard Jinx!

Again, only one attack Jinx! using both claws is a full round action :P Next time, though, double claw!
Jinx's surprising speed catches the kobold archer in the back off guard, the scratch causing a deep wound in the small lizardwoman's side.
The kobold woman steps back, plugging a pair of arrows at the catwoman.
Kobold Archer Rapid Shot arrow @ Jinx: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 - 2 + 1 = 20

Kobold Archer Rapid Shot arrow @ Jinx: 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 - 2 + 1 = 12
Damage on hit: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
One arrow goes wide, but the other nicks Jinx's arm as deep flesh wound.

Nori growls in pain as she pulls the arrow from her shoulder. Stepping up to the blue kobold, she brings her weapon to bear.
Atk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Darb's rage causes his aim to be off, the kobolds shocked that Darb responded to them in their tongue. However, Nori's slender blade cuts down one of the kobolds!

No Sneak attack this time, she's not flat footed against you and no one to flank with!
Jinx swipes twice, the kobold dodging each of the swings.
Seeing the party take out the other two kobolds with ease and Jinx coming in heavily, the kobold archer steps back and speaks in Common. "Wait, let's stop this before more blood is shed. Retract your claws and drop your weapons and I'll drop my bow.", the kobold offering mutual disarming to parlay.
What does the party do? :)

Jinx sees the kobold frown, but she does drop her weapon. "Very well, we speak?", the kobold speaks to the party.

"We were working with a human, Hunclay, to bring down the tower; however, it was an accident that he died in the collapse."
GM Higaki
|
"I do not know why; he hired us and that is that. I stayed to see what happened to the rest of the others, but evidently they have met their fate to the collapse as well."
GM Higaki
|
"Honestly, I do not like the direction of our chief. He led us to this task against this tower, into your tall - blood land. My sister has failed to overthrow him and my loyalty within the Bloodvow tribe... is waning. I have nothing against you and would rather leave than wage war."

Honestly, nope, but then I wouldn't have been able to share useful information!

"That I do not know. Spare me and those two and we will leave this town, perhaps thus forest altogether."

"The tunnel you passed; that leads to our lair. I'll leave topside and away from it."

"I will take my bow and arrows to hunt, but I will leave my potions with you as a sign of your superiority."
Unless anyone objects, the kobold archer gives the goblin some vials before dragging her two kobold allies along. "If you do seek vengeance against my tribe, spare my sister Nighttail. "

"Healing potions.", she answers quickly, tending to the downed kobolds.

The kobold smiles as she lifts up her unconscious kobold allies. "By her companion, Hak. You can also tell her that Sesserak wishes her success and if she does succeed, her sister may return.". The archer also tosses a small bag towards the party, silently nodding as she begins to drag her small team away.
There are three potions, all of the same deep blue hue. Inside the kobold's sack are five polished turquoises and 10 platinum coins.
Peeking at the other tunnel, it is cramped as it was designed for kobold frames; only Darb can walk comfortably. However, it goes on for a large distance, but does explain how the kobolds snuck underneath the tower to cause their destruction.
Anything else you wish to do before returning topside and announcing your findings?
GM Higaki
|
@Darb: You can try three times for the Craft Alchemy; one for each vial.
Darb thinks the gems are worth about 20 gold a pop, but the first vial he tastes is unfamiliar to him

My vote is carry only what we can manage well for now. Keep the good stuff stashed and show only the copper and what not. That way it doesn't look suspicious to have came up with nothing and if they take it, it won't be as great a loss. The people there seemed nice enough but we are different enough that greed might overcome good sense.
GM Higaki
|
It takes Darb a few tastes so all of the vials are tainted flavored with goblin spittle, but the goblin identifies the vials as potions of cure moderate wounds Boom! healing potential!
Jinx does bring up a fair idea; where do you wish to stash your cash?
Meanwhile, Wakiyan surveys the area; it appears that the kobolds were using the end of the cave as a resting area, but other than useless small blankets and a few remains of foodstuffs, there is nothing else of value in this area.
| Nori Nao |
Nori indicated the path behind them, "what about the hole back there? Should we explore it or head back." Nori shrugged, "the loot we can pull out of the wreckage and take top side. We could stash it in the wood nearby"

The tunnel bears obvious pick marks, showing that it was dug out towards the tower basement. Numerous kobold tracks line the floor of the cramped shaft going back and forth.
Current goals were to explore the area, report findings... and possibly find out any information about Hunclay if you could. If you guys want to explore further, I won't stop you other than it's late and the group will need to rest soon!

I agree but I think the way we go about it is important. We take what we can, hide the rest, answer the town's questions, get paid, and then come back. I would rather not sleep in kobold dug tunnels under a ruined tower that hasn't completely fallen.
| Nori Nao |
Nori nodded. She stopped and pondered for a moment, "does anyone have a spade? Otherwise it might be difficult to bury the treasure." the ninja suddenly realized she sounded like a pirate.
