Vivian Deberth |
Vivian traces a spiral over her armor, asking for more protection from Pharasma Cast Shield of Faith, CL 4, +2 AC for 4 minutes before looking at the front door for traps
Perception, TRapfinding: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 13 + 2 = 31
Then she opens the door, morningstar in hand
Gregor Giles |
"Pontia, try to get to cover," Gregor barks out. He turns sharply away from the tower, looming behind Doro. With a heave of muscle, he attempts to trip the shadowy creature attacking his ally.
Trip + IC: 1d20 + 23 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 23 + 2 = 30 And provokes from Doro if tripped
AoO if trip is successful: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 15 + 2 = 29
Damage: 1d10 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 22 + 2 = 26
GM Fuzzfoot |
@Vivian - you were quite a ways from the front door, so I moved you in that direction.
Gregor reaches into the darkness and trips the dark creature. Then he smacks it on the way down. Doro also gets an AoO.
Doro - go ahead and take your AoO, but because I am so slow, I am going to go ahead with the next foes.
Out of the darkness, 4 more undead converge on Doro, and one even moves out into the doorway to attack Gregor. All are only taking a 5' step, so I don't believe they draw AoO, but let me know if I missed something.
Attack vs Doro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Attack vs Doro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Attack vs Gregor: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
The bigger baddie lashes out without bothering to try to get up. It doesn't work for him. Then he tries to crawl away. Pretty sure this does draw some AoOs
Attack vs Doro: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 10 - 4 = 19

Last Round
As the shadowy creature fell to the ground, Doro lashed out with his mace; that was glowing with the light of goodness, seeing an opportunity.
attack: 1d20 + 15 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 15 - 1 + 2 = 281d8 + 6 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 + (3, 3) = 19
As the creature started crawling away, with the singlemindedness of one assured of his righteousness, Doro followed him. He ignored the lesser undead for the moment, focusing his assault on the leader who had spoken of the heart. He then brought his attacks with a flourish. You cannot flee the rightness of The Sword Maidens purpose

Inspire courage, +2 attack/weapon damage, round 4/20.
Pontia Canario |
Pontia completes her spell. With an unearthly chiming of distant bells, a quartet of lantern archons arrive in the air. The wizard calls out an entreaty in Celestial.
The orbs fly swiftly up the tower, launching blazing rays of light at the skeletal archers.
Then she circles around behind the combatants and touches Gregor as she casts another spell, calling forth protection for the bloodrager from their enemies. "I trust this is sufficient cover, sir."

Nic hit the green skeleton (Sophie's extra inspiration damage was enough to destroy Red), and the lantern archons start blasting scorch marks in many of the others.

In relatively good shape, the walls of the entrance hallway display several stone sundials. A doorway to the southwest opens to a small, rubble-strewn antechamber, while a makeshift curtain of woolen blankets blocks another doorway to the northeast.
Sophie Kundegard |
"Be careful in there girl!" Sophie calls out, uncertain if Vivian will hear her from so far away.
By the way, GM, is Sophie's current map position correct? At what point will she be too far away to strike skeletons with her spiritual weapon? Just wondering so I know before my turn comes up.
Vivian Deberth |
Vivian tries to get inside the tower unseen, while nodding to Sophie.. only to bump her foot in a loose stone on the ground

Sophie Kundegard |
should we bot Gregor until the end of the Combat then?
Sophie looks back and forth between the two fights. "How's it going in there?" she calls out to the men in the building

Sophie has taken 3 move actions so far this combat but her position is still where she started the combat. Now that I know she can move freely without disrupting her spell, I have moved her 60' which places her next to Gregor
Sophie summons her great-grandmother's lucerne hammer into her hands. pretty sure that's a standard action, I should have done it last round instead of double moving, but I didn't know where I was on the map.
Then she directs the Nodachi of force to attack more skeletons on the tower. using a move action to redirect it between attacks if necessary

You're right - player was not checked, but character was. Maybe this will help. @caps - can you read us?
