GM Fanguar's Savage Tide (Inactive)

High adventure on the high seas.

Hey Folks,

I'm looking to inject some fresh blood into my Savage tide AP. We're just about done the first adventure and currently have a polearm wielding human fighter, an ifirit sorcerer and a half-elf rogue. I would be looking for 2 more PCs to join, at least one a divine spellcaster. We are using google drive for maps.

Character creation:

level 2
20pt buy
Hp: max at first, 1/2+1 each level after
Class: No Gunslingers or Summoners
Race: Nothing too weird
Starting wealth:1000gp
Traits: None, but you can take one of the city district feats laid out in Savage tide player's guide (free download link at the bottom) as a bonus feat.
Background: Don't need much. The PC's are currently in the employ of a noble, one Lavinia Vanderboren. The current mission is to capture or kill her murderous brother, so the new PCs would have been recruited by her to help out with that.

Recruitment will be open until I see something I like, but no more than a week. If you have any questions let me know.

Posting for interest. Character will be up soon

Sovereign Court

What sorts of character personalities would mesh well with the party, do you feel?

Shadow Lodge

Dotting. Will think about some concepts.

"Ready to head out when you are!" Feya grinned before sitting back contentedly, staring at the table before her and the greatsword that rested there.

Well, the fighter is very no-nonsense and direct. Definitely a stab first ask questions later type. The sorcerer is serious and reserved and the rogue is a bubbly chipper teenager with a zest for life. We kind of have the whole spectrum. As long as you aren't wanting to play someone overly confrontational, anything should go. If you want to run a concept by me first, just post it in a spoiler.

Here is my Cleric. I am holding on to the gold to get mithral armor. due to his low strength.
Does anyone have the merchants tongue feat If not I will stick with selective channeling.
May I use the d100 table to swap out his spell like ability.

Are you playing the AP in Golarion? Which gods are being used?

Merck wrote:

I'm running it in Greyhawk, but I'm not too particular about clerics and their gods. If you just want to use a Golarion god that's fine.

Bumpity-bump-bump

For anyone unfamiliar with the AP, you start fighting pirates, the move on to the island of dread and then spend the final third mostly in the abyss trying to overthrow demogorgon.

Hark! Another sweet AP I've always been interested in! =)

I'd like to submit Graythan Fist for your consideration. He's a grim but good-hearted bounty-hunter who bends the strengths of his unnatural heritage to the purpose of hunting down and subduing wrong-doers.

While he's not currently geared to fill the role of a primary healer, he could certainly step into such a role via wands of cure light wounds or some such in addition to his spell selection as he advances. At present though, he's been a loner for some years now and is kitted out to be fairly self-sufficient and self-reliant.

He focuses on ranged combat (with an eye for the crossbow mastery feat a bit down the line).

Thanks for the consideration, Fanguar! =)

Interest!

This is Merck's submission. Lore Oracle of Pelor.

Sorry, for some reason I forgot to answer this. If you want a variant, run it by me for an ok. I would rather you didn't roll, since the abilities aren't exactly balaced.

Finishished submissions:

Morvius Charthagnion III (Lore Oracle of Pelor)
Graythan Fist (dhampir Inquisitor)
Beltin Albin (Aasimar Cleric)
Faya Haggerson (Human Barbarian)

I'll give a couple more days for anyone to wrap up a submission.

Then I will keep the basic stuff no problem.

Here is Reinald. I would need to tweak his story some. He was made for Skull and Shackles I would but I think would fit in fine here.

So what would you as GM define as weird?

I'll be competing my Randomisation list after I know what races are considered weird.

Dotting interest with a Half-Orc Cleric Crusader Resurrectionist. Is this acceptable?

Azure_Zero wrote:

No traditionally 'evil' races, no underdark races, Wayangs, strix. Merfolk might not be particularly practical in the jungle, etc. I'm not particularly stringent about these kinds of things, but let's be reasonable.

I'm not sure I'm familiar with the Resurrectionist (archetype?) Fire me a link so I can take a look at it.

Resurrectionist is just abbreviated for Healing Sub-domain Resurrection specialist.

Thanks, it doesn't bother me to highlight and scroll down to go to link so I didn't think about adding .

Ah I see. Yup that would be fine.

Here I go

Assault: Samurai, Monk
Skill: Bard, Ninja
Divine: Cleric, Oracle
Arcane: Alchemist, Sorcerer

Ass/Skill c: 4d100 ⇒ (36, 69, 86, 62) = 253 Monk, *Samurai, **Ninja, Bard
Div/Arc c: 4d100 ⇒ (26, 84, 63, 59) = 232 Oracle, **Cleric, *Sorcerer, Alchemist
Final: c: 2d100 ⇒ (24, 11) = 35 *Ninja, Cleric,

Race_Common: r: 2d100 ⇒ (82, 70) = 152 *Human, Half-Elf,
Race_Featured: r: 2d100 ⇒ (26, 52) = 78 Tiefling, *Aasimar
Race_Uncommon: r: 2d100 ⇒ (73, 59) = 132 *Suli, Changelings
Race: Final r: 3d200 ⇒ (68, 144, 85) = 297 Human, *Aasimar, Suli

Result: Ninja Aasimar

Aasimar: h: 4d100 ⇒ (50, 42, 27, 19) = 138 *Angel, Azata, Agathion, Normal

Gender: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 Female

Final Result: Female Ninja Aasimar(Angel)

I think I'll multi-class this character a bit to change things up for me.
Class Mixed c: 4d100 ⇒ (93, 18, 81, 42) = 234 *Samurai, Monk, *Cleric, Sorcerer

So it'll be either Cleric or Samurai that gets mixed with Ninja.
Darn it, it's a hard choice between;
Cleric (Theologian)
and
Samurai (Sword Saint)

as each offers a unique RP style and path.

I'll just take both as seconadary classes

What are the languages in the area?
Skald, Tein, Elven, Sylvan, etc...

Got most of it done, just equipment.

Update, still crunching and making progress.

Here is the characters name and ignore any remnant gun/spellslinger information, I am using the template of another character for this character.

Modius

~Anderlorn

Hi Fanguar,

This is dathom, I play Pavo in your Age of Worms campaign. Savage Tide is another game that I have always wanted to play in, but never games never came up at good times for me to participate. My schedule is free enough now however, that I can definitely set time for this game.

Here is my submission for Rast Hilden, half-elf Cleric of Osprem for your consideration. Character information is located under this profile

Sassarine is a major trade port all languages are present. Pretty much everyone you'll meet speaks common, so other than that, pick for flavour more than anything.

More done, I think I will either be done by tonight or tomorrow.

About half way done.

~Anderlorn

All done, I'll fill out the background some more tomorrow.

AZ

95%+ done with Davor Modius, refining him today.

Davor Modius is complete. The only thing I may do is word smith his BIO+ but everything else is completed

~Anderlorn

Thanks to everyone who submitted something. The other players and I will make a decision over the weekend and let you know.

Thank you GM Fanguar and good luck all!

Added a Character Progression spoiler outlining the character's planned progress for the first 10 class levels.

Malkus Zhurgoth ROG 2
NE (More neutral than evil. As he gains in level prob more prone to getting more and more toward N. He doesn't like doing nasty stuff, but is more than happy to do it if it means relative wealth and comfort for him and his family)

STR 18
DEX 14
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 10

Malkus Zhurgoth the Half-Orc sits waiting in a relaxed position in the Inn laughing and telling jokes and gossiping with fellow patrons. He is dressed in clerical vestments, of the initiate level, covering dusty unadorned leather armor. He looks to be slightly inebriated. A very , very keen observer may note he is in a booth facing the entrance and within an easy distance to the back door. Further, a keen observer may note the inebriation is somewhat feigned. Further a very keen observer may note while his wardrobe is unexceptional, the boots are in excellent condition. At least the soles are in excellent condition. Malkus was growing increasingly impatient and was finding it difficult waiting for the meeting with the new employer. He understood that he would also be working with some other freelancers (PCs) on the job. Growing up on the mean streets near the docks tends to make a man cautious and it was not easy for Malkus to stay in one place for too long or to trust new people. The clerical vestments were an old habit from his time as a poor son of off and on employed dock worker that died a pauper and left the boy an orphan. Malkus was far from religious, but sometimes the thugs near the docks would leave a weak boy or man alone if he was a cleric. Besides scamming people was easier with a religious air, and keep the boy and his mom with somewhat full bellys. Malkus still keep up the habit even though he was far from weak anymore. Besides, the gods never seemed to help him out too much.
Malkus wasn't pride of what it had taken to gain strength and gain some relative wealth and security in his short life. He wasn't necessarily, super happy about killing this woman Lady Vanderhoren's brother. But a job is a job, and it's easy to sleep at night with fully belly in a nice inn with a little bit of a bad conscience than live honorably with an empty belly. If keeping himself and his mother in nice comfort, he would kill a 100 Vanderhorens. The next step in gaining some more wealth and security would be to join a guild or even better team up with some other skilled individuals.
MALKUS got up abruptly from the table for the bathroom, cutting off a Dwarven merchant story midstream about the problems with haggling with gnomes over alchemical ingredients. "Sorry good sir, I must unload some of this swill" said Malkus, referencing the dwarf's earlier story's punchline, while chuckling jovially and backslapping the dwarf in a friendly manner. Malkus thought while doing this stagecraft, his information seems useless. People sitting silently at a tavern alone draw attention so bad conversation seemed the order of the afternoon.
Malkus reached the privy and reread the note about this meeting in secrecy. Damn it all..... in his nervousness about meeting with the House, he had attended the wrong tavern. Worse he had spent the better part of the day, observing and making sure the place was secure beforehand at the wrong location. Now he would have to rush to the other tavern without any time for observing the place beforehand. He silently and smoothly exited the tavern from the back entrance and headed to the proper meeting place.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I caught a touch of the flu and have been laid up.

Consulting with the other players, we've come to a decision:

Graythan Fist and Rast Hilden come on down.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to put something together and sorry again for keeping you all waiting.

Glad you are feeling better GM Fanguar and thank you for the opportunity to both submit and finish this toon for another campaign.

If you and your party find out they need a dual purpose cleric (better fighting ability with a concentration in healing) look me up. I'll will place this character in inactive status until I find a campaign for him.

Hey Folks,

Looking for some fresh meat! I need an arcane PC for my Savage tide game. We're currently working through the second adventure.

Character creation:

level 3
20pt buy
Hp: max at first, 1/2+1 each level after
Starting wealth:3000gp
Traits: 1
Background: Don't need much. Your character will be found captive by pirates, awaiting ransom. So you were on a boat once. Obviously the PC needs to be willing to work with the current PCs, who are currently in the employ of a local Nobelwoman

Recruitment will be open until I see something I like, but either way I'll make my decision by Friday. If you have any questions let me know.

How does a Gnome Sorcerer or an Elven Wizard sound?
lol Im that core races/classes kind of guy
