Sorry to keep you guys waiting... Lately I have been working 12+ hour days, because my manager keeps scheduling me for the day shift, but my usual supervisor that works nights needs me on the night shift... Which means while you guys are all posting, I am working lol

Also, I noticed Michellia is not on the init list... does this mean that as far as we can tell she is currently a noncombatant? I am going to keep Matteo's damage roll... But going to do other stuff too since he has a full round

Move Action: Move 30'
Swift Action: Expend 1 Arcane Reservoir Point to add Toppling Spell to magic missile
Standard Action: Cast magic missile with Toppling Spell at Olaf
for 21 damage.

Toppling Spell trip: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 I assumed that since I cast magic missile at CL 9, I would use that CL for the check, rather than mine which is CL 7... If I am wrong, which I couldn't find anything that said otherwise, so if there is please tell me, then subtract 2 from this result. This is a trip vs Olaf's CMD

Matteo moves toward the waterline, attempting to cut off Michellia's escape. While she hasn't acted in a hostile manner, it is unclear to Matteo whether or not she is an enemy. Once in position, he casts magic missile at the leader of the Ulfen, sending 5 icy bolts at the man, which slam into him attempting to knock him off of his feet.

He mixes up another Frost Bomb and tosses the explosive at Ulfen 1.

The remaining two men throw their axes down and raise their hands in the air. "All righ'!" they shout in surrender.

Meg lowers her scimitar, and the small amount of blood on the magical blade easily shakes off into the sand before she sheathes it again. She levels an angry gaze at them. "Stay right there! We will spare you, but there is no reason for you to be so mean!" She turns to Michellia. "Michellia, what is going on here? What's all this business about your sister, and why did these men attack us?" Meg asks, sounding confused and hurt.

Allright, let´s gather their weapons and tie them up just for security reasons. She takes a silken rope out of her backpack and humming a melody ties it around breast, arms, hands and necks of the remaining Ulfen in artistic patterns, one after another, so that they are all on the leash in a row (Escape DC 24). While humming she asks Can anyone pull the rope there a bit so it fits tighter please? 4/14 rounds of bardic music used today.
After that is done, she turns to Michellia and Meg
Yeah, Michellia, tell us what´s going on!

Not necessarily. Disguise is opposed by Perception and Michellia has a twin sister, which makes the DC quite high. You'll see below. :)

Having defeated Olaf and his raiders, the party moves to Michellia to discover what has been going on. Passing nearer the boat, you notice a large suspicious bundle of blankets and clothes, inside of which rests the unconscious Michellia stripped of her wedding dress and put into a drab sleeping gown. "Now wait just a minute. . . " the impostor intercedes.

After bringing Michellia back to consciousness (someone can/will provide healing I assume?), Michellia looks at the girl in her wedding dress and begins to tear up. "Eleanir! How could you?! What were you thinking?"

The real Michellia turns to you and pleads, "Oh, please don't kill her. Eleanir is still my sister, even if she is rotten. Thank you though! Thank you so much for saving me!"

The alchemist addresses Eleanir, "Why would you do this? I mean - don't you think the groom would notice? It just doesn't seem very well thought-out, is all I'm saying."

"Oh, but it was thought out!" Eleanir exclaims. "We're identical and we've been pretending to be each other since we were little kids. I know Damian well enough and he'd never know the difference. Meanwhile, Olaf," she tears up a little as she looks at his lifeless form, "wanted a worthy wife and, well, Michellia suited his interests and Olaf promised she'd stay quiet once they were gone. He wouldn't have mistreated you!" Eleanir reassures Michellia as the newly-wed sister glares from the boat. "But I thought you would have grown to love him! He was actually a very sweet man! It was all our plan. And these are some of Olaf's clanmen that just came along to help. Please, don't hurt them any more than you already have! Oh, poor Olaf!"

Meg steps over to Olaf's body, then utters a short prayer before removing a small bag from his belt, filled with conveniently labeled potions. (At least, I'm assuming they are, since you told us what they were without spellcraft checks.) She drinks the healing potion, and feels the cuts, bruises, and fatigue from the battle lift from her.

Potion of Cure Mod. Wounds: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 = 6 I just cannot roll my heals well...

Afterward, Meg approaches Eleanir, stepping close to her with a serious expression. "Love and marriage are very serious things. You can't just take Michellia's place and expect to ship her off with a man she's never met, no matter how sweet he may have been. That's not how love works. What you have done, what you were planning, they are unacceptable. But you can be redeemed, and you can learn the true meaning of love, I know it!" Meg says with a sad smile. "For now, though, I think we need to take you to the guards, and they can watch you and Olaf's men until they can take you back to Absalom for a trial." She turns to Michellia. "Does that sound reasonable to you, Michellia?"

Maaarv notices that Meg, though she has consumed the healing potion, is still badly wounded. He steps forward and flicks his wrist, producing a wand from his spring-loaded sheath.

As the paladin finishes offering Eleanir the chance to set things right, Maaarv will lightly tap Meg with the wand, hoping to bring her back to full strength.

I don't believe there is much choice, however we should likely inform Lady Blakros of what has happened here before making a big scene. Jaysin says to Meg as she turns to Michellia. We should return quickly before anyone else notices that we and the bride are missing.

Ehm, allright. I suggest we get Michellia back into the wedding dress and cover this thing here up. No need to disturb the wedding. We bring the Ulfen and the sister somewhere a bit off.

I do like the idea of raining down alchemical death from above, but Matteo has a much better bonus to his Fly skill than Maaarv does, so he can take it.

"Olaf attacked. I attacked back." is his only response to the Ulfen man's death.

"Seeing as our mission is to keep things going smoothly, why don't I use a spell to turn our friends here invisible? Do not worry, I also have a spell that will allow us to see them, so that they cannot escape. This will allow us to get them to Lady Blackros without a fuss." Matteo whispers to his companions.

Smiling at Matteo Tomoe says Certainly amusing, but i don´t think we need to go to such lenghts. Let´s just drop them off at the mercenaries and inform the groom.


The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

The party helps Michellia back into her dress and spends some time cleaning her up and fixing her hair. Eleanir and the Ulfen men will willingly come along with you and you can drop them off with some of the mercenaries.

As you near the pavilion to rejoin the party and find Hamaria and the groom, however, a guard takes to the stage at the pavilion and announces in a strangely deep and ominous voice, "I am Arastrax of the Onyx Alliance! I have you surrounded and will soon feast on your souls! None shall live to escape Pariol Island!"

Screaming erupts from elsewhere on the island and the sound of combat is heard some ways off as, no doubt, the mercenaries begin to battle some unseen threat.

Demons pour into the pavilion, mainly dretches, quasits, and babaus. Most of these focus on the crowd, but Arastrax-clearly some sort of demon that has possessed the poor guard-is mostly focused on the combat-ready adventurers who just rejoined the party. . .

The guard is probably being possessed by a shadow demon, which are demonic outsiders. They are incorporeal and have DR/cold iron or good. They also have spell resistance.

Shadow demons are immune to cold, electricity, and poison. They have resistance to acid and fire.

With the inability to see anything, Maaarv draws and drinks his mutagen, making him much more dexterous, but a little more foolhardy in his actions.

As the right side of the room is plunged into darkness, and Meg with it, she steps to the left in hopes of finding the light again. She emerges, and seeing only the one horned fiend, runs over to it, drawing her sword. "You shall regret this intrusion, monster! Feel the power of Shelyn's light!"

The light level within the black squares on the map is darkness. It is later in the day so everything else is dim light.

Maaarv gulps down a mutagen!

DC 34 concentration check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Meg smites the babau to the left and cuts into it! It loses concentration on its spell!

Meg needs a DC 18 Ref save or her weapon takes 1d8 ⇒ 6 acid damage from the babau's protective slime. If this exceeds the weapon's hardness, the weapon gains the broken condition (-2 attack and damage).*

This ability is weird to me because it seems to break several rules but I suppose this is a 'go with the specific over the general' case. I don't think elemental damage is usually affected by hardness so I'm not sure why the acid damage needs to break through hardness.

But the more confusing part is that usually a weapon has to be reduced to half its normal HP before gaining the broken condition. But the ability says, "if this damage penetrates the weapon's hardness, the weapon gains the broken condition." So that sounds to me like hardness is applied to the acid damage and that if the weapon takes any damage at all after hardness it gains the broken condition.

Matteo blasts the guard with magic missiles and puts him prone on the stage!

The answer to this ability lies in Energy Attacks, which do only half damage to most objects. As a one-handed blade Meg´s scimitar +1 has a hardness of 12, so it can´t be broken by the Babaus ability. You can see that a bit below. This section of the rules is tricky, because everything has it´s own paragraph, even though all is linked.

Tomoe has 10 adaminte blanche, 10 cold iron and 10 silver weapon blanche arrows from her last adventure. Forgot to write that over from Mythweavers.

Ok, I was unaware that energy attacks only did half damage to objects. I also thought energy damage didn't have to break through hardness. But I stand corrected. So yeah, the acid can't break through Meg's magical weapon so we won't worry about that.

If the non-magically dark squares are dim light, that means there's a 20% miss chance for attacks. We can just track that going forward. c:

As Meg is momentarily distracted by the babau popping up behind her, the first one take the opportunity to swing its filthy claw toward her face. Its sharp point comes within inches of Meg's exposed eye, but is deflected by a spark of golden light, as are its other claw and biting mouth. Meg allows herself a small smile. "No foul beast is gonna beat me today!" She takes but a moment in pray for the other demon's destruction, then lays into her would be attacker with her blade, encouraged by Tomoe's rallying cries.

He quickly mixes up a frost bomb, hoping to at least stagger one of the demons flanking Meg. Attacking B1.
