Lebrix looks at Chretien and says, "Maybe two minutes tops, we were on the fourth floor mon amis. I wouldn't think the thief was a pickpocket, and most pickpockets do rob from dying people. I didn't get a look at him. By the time, I got down there, he was gone"
He then points at Braden and says, "This man was dating the half-elfen woman. You could try to talk to him if you wish."
The body is in front of you, tell me what you want to do, what you want to check for and give me some sort of relevant roll for it. You can also continue talking to Lebrix or question Braden, Mithas, you could use your skill.

LeBrix lifts the sheet and you check the wounds:

Perception 17 of body
Examination of clothes and possessions reveals a bail certificate in her
pocket. The document is from the Parity Lake police station, and reveals that she was picked up in a contraband raid recently but released on bail, paid by one “Heward Sechim.”
Law requires her to carry the certificate until her trial. A trip to the Parity Lake police station can pull up details of her arrest.

You should have given me two perception rolls, one for looking at the body and the other for the clothing. I thought it was understood, but I will let it slide this time.

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Savan continues to look over things, in his mind he tries to patch together what happened. Untrained heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 Having worked with guns for as long as he has, Savan knows that the shots did not happen the way he has been told. The wound on the other hand, he has the strange feeling he has seen it before, another case involving the necromantic killing of a shrewish wife by a minor noble... that was a messy one. Savan stares at Lebrix for a second and then nods curtly to the body, "She jumped and you shot and she fell and she died yes. Is this all that happened exactly? Sometimes the stress of an event will cause one to forget minor details. These may be important, in case she has accomplices. We must be thorough yes no? And no one has left the grounds since the incident? We might be dealing with an inside job if she knew where these valuables were." Savan watches the man for any sign of falsehood or fear.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Mithas Aran |

I don't want to interview the spirit in front of the guards. The ability seems a little different than the spell, does a spirit medium actually summon the spirit so everyone can see and hear it?"

GMEDWIN |

Savan
Lebrix responds, "This is to the best of my knowledge if it may be a question of an inside job you should start with Braden, he was the thief's boyfriend." pauses and continues " 'You'll need to ask our receptionist Tia Jedeau in the front hall: she keeps a log of all who enter and leave'.
Actually you should probably do it by the gate which is where she died. That is where you would get the longest time with her and ask the most questions.
The morose man interrupts - 'She normally starts work at nine', he says. 'This morning she even brought breakfast for all the staff. She had some fresh coffee and a box of chocolates and set them all out in the canteen for us all to eat.' He stares glumly at the body. This is Braden, Nilasa’s boyfriend.
'The chocolates were quite delicious', adds LeBrix cheerfully, a bit unnecessarily.

Angus McCormick |

i'll go look at the ledger says angus.
He will ask the receptionist for the log on entry. He will try to see who she came with / visited how long etc for a pattern.
Angus will also look at the ledger to see if it was tampered / altered
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

GMEDWIN |

As Angus jots down the log into his notebook, Tia takes a brigadiero, this confection consists of a gooey ball of chocolate covered in granulated chocolate, castor sugar, and grated coconut, out of the box and sexily puts it into her mouth and says, "Would you like to try one, they are divine." as she giggles.
She's more than willing to discuss the visitor's log."Monamis, You'll notice the thief's name isn't in there, Non, non, Nilesa never signs in - I guess I just started treating her as staff. But I remember that she arrived around the same time as the fourth visitor, because he was a bit of a fox!' she claps her hand over her mouth as if surprised at herself. 'It was the accent - so exotic! And he was a doctor! Just after he signed in I told him to wait upstairs in the second floor waiting room, and Nilesa and Braden came in. Braden went to get changed and Nilesa was chatting to the doctor for a few minutes, about the weather or something.' She takes off her glasses and wipes the glass so she can see again. 'What time are you going to pick me up then Angus?'

GMEDWIN |

Does anyone want to question the boyfriend?
J+M

Mithas Aran |

Well we had better talk to the boyfriend...
Mithas goes over to the distraught man,
"I'm sorry for your loss. This is a damned tragedy. I know you're hurting right now, but if you could answer a few questions, we might be able to figure why things went down the way they did."

Mithas Aran |

"What can you tell me about the deceased? Does she have any next of kin we should be contacting?"
In an effort to save time with back and forth posting the questions Mithas will ask are:
How long have they been seeing each other?
How did they meet?
Does he know any of her friends?
Had she been behaving oddly recently?
I may have follow up questions. Anyone else can feel free to jump in as well.

Cretien Dufrene |

Cretien has nothing much to say, he is somewhat incensed that he isn't being shown favoritism among his kind. Although, he muses, they may view him as a turncoat, in which case it would make sense. They could never understand.

GMEDWIN |

He composes himself and starts, 'It was about three months ago', he eventually calculates. 'She's so beautiful... I mean was...' he hangs his large head like a weary ox. 'I can't remember exactly where or how - we just kept bumping into each other. I don't think she had much family - she did have two brothers though she spent a lot of time with, but I only met them once for a second. Ford and Travis. And she sometimes talked about her mother Srasama but I wasn't sure if it was her real mother. She ran a successful wand business you know - either making them or selling them for magicians I think.'
Chretien, he was just waiting for an opportune moment, like when the party would be asking Braden questions
Lebrix says to Chretien, "Professor, may I have a word?"
Lebrix pulls Chretien aside and whispers in Danoran,

Cretien Dufrene |

In Danoran
"I could arrange a time to talk about that in the future. This case, however, is very important for the future of our two nations. As such, I would expect it is very important for you and your office. To be honest with you, this case is extremely suspicious, and I would hazard a guess to say that each one of the men here from the RHC have some idea of something different that is suspicious about it. I am not blaming your office, nor do I think they are, but I just want to articulate very clearly that I am not the one to be hiding any information from. I want our nations united, and properly treating wounds such as this death is very important to that process."

GMEDWIN |

Lebrix looks at the Tiefling and speaks even softer
Angus meanders around looking for staffers but they all seem a bit to upbeat.

to the raw creation discovered by her husband. She had dominion over
the lives of women, and she particularly oversaw rituals of womanhood,
marriage, and grief. For these, she would take three different forms of
maiden, mother, and crone, but in all she was a fierce defender of the
Elfaivar empire.
Braden says, "I don't think she had a shop but she did live in a factory. She never took me back to hers', admits Braden, 'but she lived in Heward’s Factory, on Magazine Street near Parity Lake - Sechim's Alchemist-and-something it's called... She really didn't like to talk about herself."
Most of the cleaning staff just confirm what Lebrix has told you.

Mr. Byron turns and says, "I picked up a man with bloody hands,
carrying a bundle of what I thought might have been surgical tools. The
man spoke with an unfamiliar accent, but something north of the Avery
Sea. He asked to be driven to a hostel called the House of Blue Birds which is about two miles away on the western edge of the North Shore district, and he explained away the blood by claiming he was a doctor in the middle of a procedure, and that he needed special surgical equipment. I took the man to the hostel, then waited for half an hour before realizing I had been ditched." he then continues, "I really don't know where he is. It was all a bit suspicious and I came back here to see if someone knew him and could pay his fare but then saw your investigation and thought this man may be important."
Time to set up the seance, ok, you can all ask one question but you need to give me a diplomacy check.
Mithas and the rest move outside to the fence where Nilasa died and sets up while the other members gets the crowd to move along.

Mithas Aran |

Mithas isn't really much of a diplomat..."
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
Back at the death site, Mithas closes his eyes and calls out to the spirit of the dead woman. Nothing happens for a long moment before a faint vapour appears to rise from the ground and slowly coalesce into the transparent form of the victim.
Mithas speaks in a respectful hush, "I apologize for calling you back, but I would know why you jumped out the window?"

GMEDWIN |

The spirit seems confused and a bit lost, but she hears Mithas clearly. "What do you mean? I did not jump out the window, I flew. The shots fouled up my concentration and I... ah...ahh... fell on this fence...." she says staring at the fence.

if i dont ask a question, does someone else get an additional question? not really sure what the limits of the ability are.

GMEDWIN |

She looks at Savan perplexed and says, "I don't work for Risur. I was killed due to my being a bit unlucky. I tried to fly out of the window and then I was shot twice and I lost concentration and fell to my death on the fence post. The one who shot me was so quick slashed me in the face, I wouldn't be taken alive. No I wouldn't!"
Last question, better make it count!!!
