I too will be on vacation Friday through Monday. Rashaam will do his best to keep people alive and hopefully happy. Because happy is cool, you know?
(Basically just have him do what your old college stoner buddy would do in any given situation.)

![]() |

Oh, Infernal Healing. One of those spells that wasn't thought through and tested. The perfect out of combat heal with weird ethical concerns (well you killed a demon to get it, that's good. But you anointed yourself in its blood? That's bad?)

![]() |

Celestial Healing is way worse and it also raises ethical concerns (how did that angelic being die? How did you get its blood?)

![]() |

Yet that's the good align spell. SMH, seriously, neither of those spells are very well thought out flavor wise, but at least infernal healing makes sense mechanics wise, your basically getting a guaranteed cure light max and a bit extra in return but using it during battle is super slow as a trade off.
Celestial makes no bloody sense.

![]() |
Ah you're right, there is a lot of healing going on, can be hard to track at times!
I know right? ;)
@GM Cody, I’m going to burn Antonella’s first Worthy Foe boon as a swift action. Full details are in her profile, but basically she gets a +2 to attack, damage and AC vs undead for one round.
She is also going to burn her first Combat Boon from Siege of Serpents - roll first attack twice and take the best as a non-action.
@Mutahir, does the ghast's negative channelling affect you?

![]() |

I'm honestly not sure. I get a +4 will save cause it's divine, but if it allows spell resistance, it's gotta roll for it. If not, then i'll still take the hit.

GM Cody |

Yeah, I had that mental debate with myself as well. figured its Su so no spell resistance but it technically is certainly Divine in nature so I gave you your boosted saves.

![]() |

Yeah, it's an annoying gaping hole in the abilities that I can still be walloped by channels, but hey, I get a lot of other cool stuff, so I can't complain to much. I'm getting tired of being knocked unconscious.

![]() |
@GM Cody, Is a 26 a hit? If so, I'm not sure you added the damage for Antonella's first flurry (she is full attacking)
roll twice take best Flurry IUS #1 + smite + boon + flank: 1d20 + 13 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 4 + 2 + 2 = 26 ☜ This one
roll twice take best Flurry IUS #1 + smite + boon + flank: 1d20 + 13 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 13 + 4 + 2 + 2 = 23
magical bludgeoning damage + first hit smite + boon: 1d8 + 3 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 6 + 2 = 13
And hey! I burnt a boon to get that extra 13 points of damage! ;)
Also, I’m not sure you included Kel’s magic missile strike from the same round:
Kel move until he can hear again and casts his last magic missile at the cleric.
mm dmg: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 2) + 4 = 13

GM Cody |

Alas 26 was not a hit, his AC was 27.
Though you are correct I had narrated the magic missile damage and then didn't count it.

GM Cody |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I was just giving you guys a hard time, this was the boss. There is like one baby enemy left in this whole place lol.

![]() |

lol, you had me scared... Kel would need rest after this!

![]() |

Oh man, you definitely scared me with that, haha.

![]() |

Lol, The Enforcer is waaaay more interesting, particularly the ability to intimidate everyone within 30 feet who worships the same god as the one I'm insulting, and even better, cutting off divine powers to anyone who I score a crit on. Which as a swashbuckler is hilariously often.
Though, I admit, the stigmata thing on the vindicator is kinda cool.

![]() |
Which book is the Pure League Enforcer in Mutahir?
Champion of Irori is the first PrC I've ever taken. The ability to advance the combat prowess of both the paladin and monk at the same time looks to be its best feature.
(The individual level abilities aren't that great IMO.)
The biggest drawback is the amount of time the build takes to hit its straps. (Antonella should be a powerhouse by 9 or 10 level)
Having said that, I have enjoyed finding ways to make her useful throughout her career.

![]() |

Inner Sea Combat. Most of Rahadoumi stuff comes from Inner Sea Combat, Inner Sea Guide, and People of the Desert. They tend to mostly be used as generic "Neutral" aligned baddies since most parties have a cleric in tow which means inevitable fighting with pure legion forces.

![]() |

I did want to ask about Antonella's myriad of abilities, and when it would be at full power. If I could remake Cirri I would make her a hydro/aerokineticist to maintain her water/wind theme, but she's also supposed to be brainy, slightly ditzy mage. It's one of those concepts that doesn't fit will in Pathfinder unless I make multiple PCs.
So for now she's a Staff/Hexcrafter Magus with the power to fly. Level 7 couldn't come soon enough so my quarterstaff's enchantment bonus applies to my AC.

![]() |

Oops! It turns out a Magus can't Riposte.
I have the Flamboyant Arcana arcana, but it has been errata'd so I can't riposte unless I actually have penache. So either I dip into Swashbuckler or take the feat.
So once this is over, GM, I'm going to spend some PP on retraining so I can get a different arcana, if that's OK with you.

![]() |
Is People of the Sand any good, Mutahir? I’m quite interested in Pahmet dwarves but am not sure it’s worth getting the book just for that.
Ready access to fly is pretty good. I’ve been thinking about building a magus, but the class looks complex and I imagine it’s easy to mess up the build. I love Cirri’s shape-changing! I’m looking forward to seeing the new Shifter class' wildshaping in the upcoming Ultimate Wilderness.
Heads up, I am taking a 10 day family break starting today.
I’ve got my iPad so at least once-a-day posting will be no problem, though I may need help moving my token on the map.

![]() |

There's a lot of math and options for Magi and plenty of ways to play them, too. The quickest way to fly is still a level 5 wizard, but for me feather fall is free (and I don't need to prepare it.)
Most Magi are built for impressive burst damage- the classic build is to use a scimitar, cast Burning Hands/Shocking Grasp and pray for a critical. I opted for a very annoying defensive build and use transformation magic to enhance my fighting ability. I can't wait to pull out my new spell!

I am carrying a scroll of daylight. Would that actually do anything to this vampiric pudding? Daylight isn't strong enough to instantly kill, but light sensitivity may help us out here.

GM Cody |

It was my understanding that daylight simulates actual day light and creatures that are vulnerable to sunlight can be destroyed by the daylight spell.

GM Cody |

Never mind, it says in the spell description that itdoesnt destroy creatures. :(

![]() |

Note to self: Buy a scroll of Searing Light next time.
Do we know if the pudding at least has light sensitivity? While it would have been great to burn a scroll to skip a potentially ugly encounter, if the scroll does anything to this ooze it will be well worth the money.

GM Cody |

Looks like only direct sunlight hurts it in any way :(

Thank-you for running, GM Cody! Your games are always fun - with a side of challenging deadly ;)
Very much enjoyed playing with everyone and hope to do it again sometime soon!
@GM Cody, can you please make a note on Antonella's Chronicle that she is burning her Skillful Barterers' boon, to swap Rieme's Masterwork long sword for 300gp of alchemical tools?
Also can you please note she is spending 2 Prestige on a potion of remove blindness/deafness?

GM Cody |

Yeah I can mark all that, Antonella
If anyone else needs stuff marked on their chronicles let me know, I'm gonna try to get those done late tonight or tomorrow morning.

![]() |

Oh hey, the forums are back up.
Did I win a Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 19

Hey congrats !! I don't have the exact info just the name of the boon. After I report the scenario tonight I think the organizer emails it to ya. It's called Freedoms Champion

Hello People!
There is a vacancy for ONE player in GM Rinaldo’s Season 4-03 Golemworks Incident (Tier 5-9) game which is being run at sub-tier 5-6 in regular mode.
Kel and I are both in this game, and a level 5, 6 or 7 PC would be most welcome!
If you are interested you can check into Discussion >>Here<<

GM Cody |

Hey guys sorry for the delay, I am in Vegas till Wednesday. I wanted to get them out before I left, just waiting on rashaam. I'll roll for him on Wednesday for his boon and then put out Chronicles.

GM Cody, I need to rebuild Cirri using the Retraining Rules in Ultimate Campaign. Would you be willing to sign off on my character changes?
