Kinda figured that was where you were going.

I'm at work right now, so it'll be another 4-5 hours yet for me!

I love religious fanatics! Nothing beats going, "Razmir is Great!"
Or "Hail HydraRazmir!"
GM Bret |
If people could please post links to where in gameplay it specifies what equipment was hidden where, that would help me.
If you go to the date stamp on a post, it is a link to the post. On most browsers you should be able to just copy link and then paste it into your message.
Ramon 'Ray' Azure |
Moot point.
Ramon wasn't carrying it like a watch.
They do have a *tail* though, so whether or not they took any sort of precautions for that is GM discretion.
AC adjusted for gear removal.
...hopes that it isn't 'gear lost forever' because that'd be... well, more expensive than character death at this level.
Fran Belmont |
Here is where I described what Fran would have hidden on her person and where, if you still need that information :)
GM Bret |
@Fran
The wrist sheathes and contents would have been taken when they took your clothing and other equipment. They also took your spell component pouch. I know that wasn’t hidden, but it is worth noting.
Fran Belmont |
That's fine, I just wasn't sure if you still needed that information or not!

Vlazis stashed his symbol of Dispater in his boot here

Hid dagger, gladius & tonfa
Thomas still has the dagger. The other two weapons are too big, you would have hidden them in the loathing that was taken from you.
GM Bret |
just my dagger....will quote post when i find it....
in a wrist sheath. Wrist sheathes were taken.

Boots were taken as well. If they don’t search them well, it is possible the symbol is still in the boot.
Kriklishik |
GM Bret |
Alright, if anyone thinks they might still have a piece of equipment please point it out.
Thomas has successfully hidden a dagger.
Vlazis’s religious symbol was last seen hidden in his boot. Once he finds his boots, he can check if it is still there.
Kriklishik |
Bret, if you don't mind, can you spoiler the DC for checks? I almost took ten on that sense motive check before i caught myself. It's also gonna be impossible to use my reroll without meta gaming, since I'll already know if I've succeeded.
Hope you don't mind!
GM Bret |
I could make all the rolls and then spoiler based on results.
Is that what people want me to do?
I’m not sure how else I could do it without waiting way too long between updates.
Fran Belmont |
I'm neutral on this one, though I generally prefer to err on the side of 'whatever makes the GM's life easier'.
Kriklishik |
That seems like an awful lot of work. What about:
Rolling for us also takes away our opportunity to take ten or use a reroll.
It's just a request. You're welcome to leave it as is; I won't mention it again.
GM Bret |
I can try what you’ve suggested for a while Kriklishik. As you point out, that still preserves your ability to choose to take 10 or not. We will see how it goes.
Kriklishik |
Much gratitude!
GM Bret |
Does the rest of the group want to move ahead to the next morning?
I think I can retcon any minor changes depending on what Thomas does. If he puts the whole Temple on high alert that would mean we would have to retcon the whole morning.
Kriklishik |
Fine by me :)
Ramon 'Ray' Azure |
Unless something else dramatic happens, like they move Fran or Shayna to the cell with the vinegar in it?
If so, it'll get a brief 'washdown' when the guards are not present and half-elf cranky dude is not watching.
GM Bret |
Sorry for the walls of text.
I did split it into three sections, but it is still a lot to take in all at once.
Ramon 'Ray' Azure |
Wow.
These guys are bad at culting.
I mean, I'd at least have some sort of acknowledgement of those who failed, if but to promote those who were successful a little bit further.
:P

I wouldn't exactly call it an acknowledgement, but they do have a standard procedure for dealing with those acolytes who fail.
Ramon 'Ray' Azure |
But can you hide?
Fran Belmont |

Maybe you could just play d-
Er, nevermind.
(Sorry, sorry, I couldn't resist. I will accept a beating with a wet noodle for that one!)
Seriously though, hopefully you can hide from whatever it is!
*keeps fingers crossed*
GM Bret |
Aw heck....i'm going to die, aren't i.
Thomas wasn't designed for 1 on 1 combat, with his lousy dmg output.
I would advise you come up with a creative solution quickly then.
You have a lot of broken bones, a dagger, two statues, and a walkway located quite a bit above you. If you survive, you will have gathered some information quickly that the group likely would take longer to discover -- some groups never do.
I believe I made it pretty clear that these were not nice people. Fortunately, they were also sloppy enough to have not found the one weapon.
Ramon 'Ray' Azure |
Do you see anything lying around to make a rudimentary lathe?
GM Bret |
It doesn't exactly follow the normal path people tend to take through this module either. You departed the plot tracks at a point between normal stations. :)
Fran Belmont |
Off to work, will try to check in and post as I can should things not be busy. Otherwise I'll check in tomorrow morning when I get home :)
Thomas Hasoshi |
You departed the plot tracks at a point between normal stations. :)
I somehow know how you feel.
My homebrew had me wondering what road the team would take, which of 3 paths to defend vs incoming mooks. They decided to just bunker down, forcing me to mass combat of over 30-40 units on the map.
Maybe we'll get a few good laughs out of this situation.
Kriklishik |
With the bluff you've been rolling, you might try some feinting (If combat does come up). It's every other round, but you might get a few sneaks in here or there.
It seems 2/3 of the tables I run end up off the tracks. But then, I don't like running railroads, so I tend not to narrate too much. "Ok folks, sing me a song. Whatcha doin'?" is one of my go-to lines. The result is some pretty fun roleplay, and a lot of off-the-cuff gaming.
Thomas Hasoshi |
Well, it's been a pleasure meeting you all.
Can't say the prospect of becoming snake excrement is something exciting, but Thomas took a gamble and is going to pay for it. :)
