Hey guys! Just lettin' y'all know that I'm gonna be getting back into the game. Situation resolved...as well as it can be, I suppose. Not quite to my full satisfaction, but I imagine that's going to take more time than I'm willing to stay away from the game, so I'm gonna jump on back in.
Seems like these darn crows are still givin' us a headache, eh?
Cyrus Laskaris
Haha. Yeah, he's not one to beat around the bush, is he? Sometimes life would be a lot simpler if people were really that forthright with their thoughts.
Cyrus, in the meanwhile, is busy gettin' his flirt on. :P

I wanted to give you all a heads up that I'm going to be away from the 19th until the 25th or so and won't be able to post anything during that time. I should definitely be back online by the 26th but possibly earlier depending on how things go.
Cyrus Laskaris
A-freakin'-men to that. Bleh. All this talk of vacations just reminds me that my summer break is coming to an end and it'll be back to dealing with vermin of a different sort (the teenaged kind). Just as an FYI, once that happens, my posting before 4:00 or 5:00 PM will probably slow down. Gonna try and keep up with it but it's gonna depend on my workload during my planning time.
GM Bali
Thanks guys. I'm taking my two boys out hiking for a week so it should be fun (or at least interesting :). I'll talk to you all again Friday.
GM Bali
We did thanks. Ended up coming back a bit early due to weather forcasts and the way the miles word out but overall a very fun trip with a lot of great views. As always backpacking around does get the mind thinking Pathfinder...nothing brings sticking your character with a fifty pound pack to life like carrying a fifty pound pack :)

Ha! That's a good one. I imagine it would. :)

hello all just popped in to say I am still here, I hve been a little busy and working to get caught up on everything.
unfortunately I was working late today and did not get to updating this game..I hope to update tomorrow.
i am sorry if holding things up.
Kobad the Sorcerer
hello all, been trying to catch up on stuff and I can't seem to catch a break to sit and post in everything I need to lately.
I will look over the thread and catch up. sorry all.
on the good side, I have been asked to GM some PFS scenarios (have not said yes yet, still unsure if I am up to it)
GM Bali
No worries Kobad. My own schedule of late has unfortunately been slowing things a bit so you haven't missed too much. Your back just in time to help get the action going again. :)
Javell DeLeon
That's only while I'm raging. My Str is a 19(+4) normally, but when I rage it's a 23(+6).
Which makes it +9 to damage since I'm using a two-handed weapon. And then you add Power attack which is -1 to hit +3 to damage when using a weapon two-handed. Normally PA is -1/+2.
When I'm in non-rage the total is +9.
Yeah, it's pretty dang fun. Well, when I manage to hit that is. :P
Javell DeLeon
Is Kobad up? I have no idea how many hit points he has and if he's actually conscious.
If he is, do we continue on and worry about healing later - I'm not even sure if we can do any healing but if so - and keep trucking or should we heal him up more.
In my experience, I find adventures tough without a healer. Not interested in looking for another player just so I'm clear, just saying it's gonna be a tough go without one. Which stacks with the difficulty of the AP in and of itself.
Losing Nelosse was a brutal hit to the team.

Well, if we manage to get a wand of cure light wounds or pearls of power or something, I can prepare some light healing and rely on the wand/pearls to do aid me.. Don't want to healbot because it's boring and I enjoy the druid kind too much, but that might be a good idea?
Also: rangers can use the wand of CLW without checks aswell, so yey? :)

As per the bold, hard to disagree with this. I've played plenty o' healers in my day(more so in RL than on the boards), and while obviously useful healing wise, there really isn't much else to 'em.
GM Bali
I leave your strategy to you guys but will say that investment into some CLW wands is always a useful way to go.
Cyrus Laskaris
Cyrus is not going to be much use on the healing front, I'm afraid. The Skirmisher archetype removes all caster abilities from the Ranger, including the use of spell trigger/spell completion items.
Javell DeLeon
Boy oh boy, that makes things a bit more tricky.
You know, maybe we should attempt to acquire another player who wants to run a healer.
Do you all think we should look into a 5th player?
A healer would be real handy. And I get how wands and potions are a optional source of healing for those that don't have healers, but is it really? If Natasza is the only one able to use a wand, then she maybe stuck spending time running around with a wand in her hand. But I sure wouldn't want to be doing that from now on. That goes back to Rick's comment on "...it's boring". Which it would be. Especially for Natasza.
And how often is there gonna be a town to where we can just stock up on these things? Of course, 3 of us can use ONLY potions. The only wand user is Natasza. Unless Kobad can use a healing wand. I rarely run arcane so I'm not sure what they can or can't use wand wise.
But if we do decide to roll with another, personally I'd prefer if we could pull someone in we know we could trust. Picking up Rick was a good call, Bali. Going that route seems far simpler than a messy ol' recruit thread.
And also, Bali, if you don't really feel like adding another, then that's cool with me. I TOTALLY understand the amount of work it takes of trying to implement a new player into a game. You did great with Natasza. It was well done. I'm just not sure you'd be up to having to go through something like that again. And if that's the case, then we just continue on as is, no big deal to me.
To be blatantly honest, while I'd like to have a healer pc in the group and would obviously not object to it, I'm also fairly reluctant to add another. Mainly due to the fact that this group is "comfortable" to me so to speak. So it's all good to me either way we want to roll with it. I just thought I'd throw it out there and get y'all's take on it.
Cyrus Laskaris
Well... with the GMs approval, of course, the simplest solution would be for me to drop skirmisher in favor of the standard ranger with spells. If wouldn't have come into play for a couple more levels anyway since rangers can't access spells until lv 5 and it would allow us to continue on with the present group.
Natasza
True that, but it would be effectively rebuilding your character and that's a bit stupid no?
I know of an arcane spell that gives you fast healing (1) for ten rounds. Maybe it would be worth it for Fireborn to pick up that spell, and/or a wand? Not that amazing in combat, but outside of it...
Cyrus Laskaris
It would require some tweaking of the character concept, but I doubt it would ultimately make him less effective in combat. Would just have to use spells that enhanced the animal companion I'm eventually going to have as opposed to using Skirmisher abilities. Either way, I'd be fine.
