Eri reaches out and smooths back her hair from her face, "Don't worry, I have you. We'll get some food in that tummy, as well as some clothes to keep you warm." Standing up, Eri goes to the door and opens it. Going into the hallway she hollars, "Granny!"
Eri la Grave
Dude....no, I guess I just wasn't sure if you knew Eri was already over in front of her or not. It's okay, I was just confused. Lol
Looking up at her she beckons her inside, "We're probably gonna need some more food, and I need you to see if you have any clothes in her size." She says, pointing out the little girl in the room.

Going back over to the little girl, Eri leans down and picks her up. Once Granny sets the platter on the table, Eri sita down with the girl and puts some meats and fruits on a plate for her to start eating. Picking up a piece of meat, Eri takes a bite out of it and chews before swallowing, showing the little girl how to eat.
Eri la Grave
I wasn't really expecting the little girl to respond to my question, I was more or less trying to determine if she recognized my voice. I just wanted to see if she would respond azny certain way to my voice since I talked to her while shed was developing. I have no idea what to call her now. I've been thinking about the name I thought I wanted, and it doesn't seem to fit Eri's.....style. I think thed name should be something that Eri would think of. Until seeing it was a girl, she was going to call it George....so, it shouldn't be anything too complicated or weird.

Looking up at Eri the little girl reached out, grabbed a piece of meat, sniffed it a moment, then put it in her mouth. Putting it in her mouth, she began making chewing motions very slowly. After several moments the movement increased and she finally swallowed.
Grabbing a large handful of meat the girl jammed it all in her mouth and, with difficulty, started chewing.

I'll post after I get home from work and doing our own shopping. I want to make sure I have enough of everything so I don't have to step foot in a store for 2 or 3 weeks.
Eri la Grave
Seeing the little girl put way too much food in her mouth, Eri quickly grabs a napkin. Turning the girl in her lap so she can see her face, Eri deepens her voice while shaking her head. Putting the napkin under the little girl's mouth she says in a stern tone, "No, spit it out. Right now, spit it out."
As she waits for her to comply, Eri looks up at Granny, "She's not a "what", she's a "who". I just don't know what to name her yet. It was supposed to be George, but she is not a George. Could you please get me some clothes for her now?"
Eri smiles at Tehanna, "She wasn't what I was expecting, but I think I'm okay with that. She really is isn't she?"
Sorry, thought I would try tyo respond to everything going on around me at once.
Eri la Grave
Wrapping the partially chewed wad of food in the napkin, Eri setsx it asid. Holding up one finger she says, "One piece at a time. I know you're hungry, but one at a time." Picking up a decent sized piece of meat she hands it to her, "One at a time."
Looking up at Tehanna she says, "We can't allow her to gorge herself, or put in too much food at once, or she'll choke. I know she needs to eat, but not so fast that she chokes. Keep an eye on her for a minute while I change real quick love?" Eri asks as she stands up while still holding the little girl. Sitting her down in the chair, Eri takes the blanket from around herself, and puts it around her befored heading back to the bed. Picking up her clothes, Eri starts getting dressed.
Eri la Grave
Eri smiles over at Tehanna and the little girl as she quickly gets dressed, "She's gonna have a big appetite as she's growing. I'm pretty sure from the book you read that she should develop pretty quickly....but I don't know how her having part of my blood in her will affect that."
Finishing getting dressed, Eri gets her boots on. Going to the table, she puts a few pieces of meat, fruit, and bread on a plate and places it in front of the little girl, "One at a time. If you're still hungry after that, you can have more. Remember, one piece at a time." Eri reminds the girl as she as she sits down at the table, and starts making a plate of her own.
Looking up at Tehanna she sighs, "We're just gonna have to come up with a name for her love. Are there any names you like? I still think a simple name would be best. Something like....Emma, Amy, Marie....I...I'm just not very good at this."
Eri la Grave
Eri thinks on it for a moment, "Hmmmm...Teri....Teri." She says out loud to see how it sounds, "Yeah, I think I like it. Teri is short and simple, easy to say and I like that it's a blend of our names."
Eri la Grave
Eri picks her up and holds Teri in her lap as she eats her own food, "Hmmm....I guess you're full now. Where is Granny wdith your clothes Teri? As soon as she brings them and we're all ready to go, we can go for a walk. You'll need some exercise after all that food."
Eri la Grave
Looking over at Tehanna she says, "We're probably gonna need to have more food brought for the other meals. Make sure you get to eat to love." Eri says as she finishes up her own breakfast. After all their activities of the previous night, Eri had been rather ravenous herself, but she made sure her love would have enough to eat.
Getting up from the table, Eri carries Teri over to the bathroom. After showing her how to take care of her more personal needs, Eri gets a bath ready for her. Eri sits at the edge of the tub with her legs crossed in front of her, once she gets Teri into the bath. Giving her a cloth, she lets her play in the bubbles while Eri washes her hair, back, arms, and legs. She has Teri wash her face and torso, before helping her rinse off all the soap. The flowery scent from the oils she used in the bath, spreads through the room as Eri finishes Teri's bath. Eri lifts her out of the bath and wraps a towel around her. After drying her off and getting her hair as dry as possible, Eri wraps another dry towel around her before brushing out her thick wavy light brown hair and puts it in two pony tails.
Picking her up, Eri gives her a hug before taking their little girl back to Tehanna, "What do you think? Now we just need clothes for her." She says before giving her love a kiss on the cheek. She knew she was doting on their little one, but she knew Teri wouldn't be "little" for very long, and she was going to be sure that she never made Teri feel the way that her own mother made her feel. She would give Teri everything that her own mother couldn't give her like...love, patience, understanding....but mostly love and affection. Eri's eyes grow damp as she thinks aboutg all the things they could have with Teri that she never had growing up.
Eri la Grave
I just think that Eri is looking at this girl as mote than just a pet. I think she sees her as just not a person, but a second chance to reclaim what was taken from her when she was a child, and to give someone the kind of love that was never shown to her.
Eri la Grave
Eri's eyes get a little large as what Tehanna says hits her. Was shed really her....mother? Did she know how to be a mother? She had pretty much been going off of instinct up tyo this point, and hadn't really thought much about her feelings for the Little girl....but....somehow, as soon asx she saw her standing there in their room, something inside of her knew that she was so much more than a pet.
As she hears Teri trying to speak, something soft and warm flutters to life in her heart. Much like the first time that Tehanna showed her love. Holding Teri in her arms she looks down at her, "What are you trying to say Teri? I...I'm mama, are you trying to say mama?"
Eri la Grave
Eri looks up, "What is taking Granny so long? Is is it really that difficult to find clothing for a child?" She says, the agitation clear in her voice. She wanted Teri to have time to go outside and play before she got too tired and needed a nap. She was hoping to find somed small game so she could show Teri how to hunt.
Eri la Grave
Eri scratches her head, "Yeah...okay I get it, but with all this magicky stuff around here, you would think that they could figure out a way to come up with some clothes for her."
Eri la Grave
Feeling all but forgotten, Eri sighs. Teri needed some time outside, and she wasn't about to let her run around naked.
Since she's already dressed, Eri puts her robe around Teri and ties it. Taking her hand she looks up at Tehanna, "I'm gonna take her and go see if I can find a man, or Granny, or someone that can help me get some clothes on this child. You can stay here and study if you want to, or you can come with us. Totally up to you." Eri says as she goes to the door and opens it.
Servant Granny
Just as Eri opened the door, she found Granny standing there with a single change of small clothes in one arm, and her other hand raised as if she was about to knock.
"Oh. Pardon me for taking so long Dearie, but I had a hard time finding something suitable to give your little girl. The Gnome running around here has........interesting tastes in clothing."
Eri la Grave
Eri takes the clothes from Granny and starts getting Teri dressed, "Thank you for finding these Granny. I'm sorry to caused so much trouble. Well, it's not a perfect fit...but it'll do for now." She says, finishing getting Teri dressed.
Eri la Grave
Eri takes Teri's hand, "Alright, why don't we go outside? I think you could use some play time outside and I need to see if there's anything around here suitable for you to hunt."
Eri la Grave
Not sure of really how to teach her to hunt since it was all pretty much instinct for herself, Eri smiles down at her as they walk down the beach together, "Yes Teri, I guess I am Mama. Let's go play okay." She was hoping that in the course of their "play time", that she would be able to see if Teri showed any interest in hunting yet. For now, shed would be satisfied with Teri getting some exercise.
Letting go of her hand, Eri starts running down the beach and encourages Teri to chase after her.
Eri la Grave
I really don't know what I'm doing here. I guess I'm kind of just trying to encourage her to play, while seeing if she has any natural instincts that might kick in...or if that's something I'm going to have to teach. This is kind of...out of my element a bit. I'm Eri the devourer, not Eri the Mama....well, I guess I am now, but it's not something I'm used to yet.
Eri la Grave
Not really sure of what she should do next, but not wanting to make a big deal out of Teri stumbling, Eri moves a little faster.
Eri breaks to the right and heads for the tree line while keeping an eye on Teri.
Eri stops behind a large tree and waits to see if Teri can sniff her out. She won't stay hidden too long because she didn't want to scare Teri, or make her think she was being abandoned, but she wanted to see if she could find her.
Hide and seek?
Teri la Grave
The little girl stops for a moment as Eri disappeared. She then makes a pouty face then begins sniffling like she is about to cry. Almost immediately her expression changed as her nose went up in the air. She was on the scent of something, and following it led her to Mama. Teri stuck out her arms wanting to be picked up.
