I meant it regarding all of you being in super high alert in the warehouse. There isn't ALWAYS something there (even if in this case there was)

No complaint at all. Even a free bite at me would be fine, which I believe is what is about to happen in the surprise round. I am happy that all 4 of the buggers are not on me. :)

You misunderstand. I know how good it is. Vermin is the skeptical one. And Dunn just failed to impress him. :)

Have fun in Japan Lucc, I miss my time there terribly, and really hope to be able to go back soon.

Its more work than play - that said I am in Hokkaido and its a lot nicer here than Tokyo.

Oh I agree. I spent around 2 months there, and only one week of it was in Tokyo. The rest I was pretty much in Fukuoka city and the rest of the south side. also spent 3-4 days in Kyoto and loved it.

Tokyo is just a busier New York :P

I'll "me too" this discussion. I have gotten to travel to Japan twice on business. Both trips were to Tsukuba, but through Tokyo. Both trips I was able to arrange a free weekend. Anyone ever visit Kamakura? I hope to get to go back someday with my wife.

About the combat - A lucky bite - hitting Vermin's Flat Footed AC exactly. Had he not been bitten, Vermin would try his class ability of Vermin Empathy - I mean how often do you get to do that? But since he has been bitten, and for max damage, he will try to smash the little critter. I was about to roll, but see that the rats get to go again before me, so I will wait. Rough not getting a chance to act in the surprise round, and then having the critters roll very high init. In hind sight I might should have asked for a perception check for a chance to act in the surprise round. Oh well, unless the little critter crits I don't think it can take me down. Just a little embarrassing to loose half your health to a rat. :)

My guess on sohali's action:

Sohali will 5-foot step back and shoot the rat in his face.

We have been playing quite fast as it is, so I don't mind holding on for a bit. I like having people roll their own attacks when possible.

Speaking of Diablo 3 - who here has it? I'd love to play with some folks I "know".

It's installed and ready for me when I get home. I don't recall my battletag off hand though, being so new.

I get a free copy from Blizzard due to Wow account, but have not tried to download it yet. I am running gaming at a small con this weekend called MobiCon and will be busy with that through the weekend. Lots of Pathfinder Society will be played there.

Neat! I almost went to Mobicon too. (I live pretty close, and my local PFS is huge so a lot of people here are going to run games). But I still have 2 days of PFS scheduled this weekend as it is :P

OK. Interesting. Now I gotta ask where you live? Have you ever been to MobiCon before? I have been running RPGA and PFS for them for about 8 years.

I'm in the Atlanta area, which makes it a few hours drive down to Mobile. I have sadly never made it down because I returned from my RPG hiatus (after years of AD&D 2nd and 3.0) early this year, so I'm technically new to PF organized play.

Ok. I am a Georgia Tech grad so I know Atlanta. Do you know Kyle Pratt then? Do you go to Dragon Con? I know a lot if the Atlanta gamers from the Living Greyhawk days.

Huh, small world. I'm a tech grad as well. Definitely know Kyle, he is the Venture-captain here (well one of the few). He and I talk a lot since I am one of the store liaisons for PFS here. I'm actually starting a new campaign with his roommate as a player soon!

I used to go to Dragon Con a lot more (in the early 2000s) than recently, but I am planning to go this year to GM/play PFS games. Last time I went the line for a badge was so insane it soured me =/ I've also been more into euro boardgames the past 3-4 years and there is close to zero presence of them at dragoncon.

@Sohali Man, I have a bad feeling about this kingmaker game we are in...

Kyle is helping me with Mobicon this year. His roommate? Do you mean Nani? He might have others that live with him. Not sure.

Its possible we have met. I have never missed a Dragon con. I think I bought one of the first eternal badges and go every year. Lines have been better the last couple of years and were actually tolerable this past year. My line is always short with an eternal badge. One of the perks. :P But now my kids go, so I stand in that long line anyway.

I used to play in the $1000 First Edition team AD&D events. Lots of fun. Never played much Living City but loved LG. I have run for Shy before but not in a few years. Dragon Con is one of the cons I go to to play. And so much to do there...

I think Kyle and Nani have 2 more roommates? maybe? At least one more for sure.

I am actually looking froward to DragonCon this year. I have friends (other tech alum I went to school with) who rent a hotel room every year and stay downtown, so the plan is to join them so I don't have to drive in every day.

Looks like I'm also making GenCon this year, which is a first for me. :D

Edit: Also I have to agree on the Kingmaker game, think its the shortest pbp I've been in. About four posts from the GM :P

Yep - loving it. This has been my first pbp PFS experience and its a good one. Hoping for more after First Steps is played out.

Same. Like this character and the group. Will like it all better once we have a couple wands of Cure Light among us. Which brings up a question. Will you allow us to spend PAs for a want after this first mod?

You can indeed. You get your 2PA immediately (assuming you dont botch the orphanage mission). You just can't buy faction-specific PA rewards until you declare one.

I will recommend that everyone consider strongly getting some form of healing wand with the first PA. Its reasonable for each person to contribute to healing the party and unfair if only one or two do so.

That said, we could break it up and have 2 or 3 people get one with the PA from the first mod and then have the rest get one from PA from the second mod. This might be good if some people want/need to immediately spend PA for some other need.

And by "some form" of healing wand the options are:

wand of cure light wounds
wand of infernal healing (probably not for Sohali XD)

Ugh! It seems that we are lucky to get two posts a day from the DM right now. But in his defense he just had a baby that along with the mother are having minor complications. :( So my sad gaming habits can wait!
