Zova notices Alleran suddenly drop, and her eyes widen in surprise. She is about to fire at the creature attacking him, but realizes that she probably would not be able to down it in a single strike. Instead she turns to Ford and yells, "I need you to heal Alleran! and fires an arrow at the creature nearest to him.

A grappled creature can attack, but "Grappled creatures cannot move and take a –4 penalty to Dexterity. A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple."
So you can attack while grappled, but take a -2 (-4 if dex based attack) on attack rolls.
As a standard action the defender in a grapple can try to break free or take control of the grapple (CMB, or Escape Artist).
Attacking with a light or one handed weapon is also a standard action (or full action if full attacking).
Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple).
Damage: You can inflict damage to your target equal to your unarmed strike, a natural attack, or an attack made with armor spikes or a light or one-handed weapon. This damage can be either lethal or nonlethal.
You are quoting only part of the text from "If you are grappled". Another option in that section is to reverse the grapple. If Alleran took control of the grapple, he inflicted 11 points of damage with a light weapon as part of his grapple check as per my prd quote above. You do not have to break the grapple to attack and there is no attack penalty to attack the other grappler. Those penalties are for attack rolls made against foes outside of the grapple. If the reptile then did the same on it's turn, Alleran took the damage.
Hokina
If you make the check to take control, then you can't make an attack in the same round. You get the other options (like move, attack, pin,..) from maintaining the grapple.
Put it this way:
If Alleran took control last round, than this round it attacked Alleran (-2 to its attack, but Alleran have a -2 to AC from the grappled condition).
So Alleran still got hit. I think Alleran still went down from the attacks. He took. so is prone on the ground.
Hound healed him. So he is awake, prone on the ground.
If He got out of the grapple last round. Still got hit, still went down. He would just still be grappled when Hound healed him. So he would wake up still grappled.
I forgot above, but Ford gets a free CMB check to get free as the beast is dragging him up the tree.
Ford CMB: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 4 = 12 Ford is 10 ft in the air with the beast.

"I will be happy to as soon as I have a free moment!" Ford shouted back to Zova, gritting his teeth as his feet left the ground with the creature towing him up the tree. I was hoping to tend to my own wounds first. Blast these creatures!
As preoccupied as he was, Ford didn't want to kill these creatures either. It seemed clear that this was their home, and THEY were the intruders on it. Perhaps they could be distracted...? But with what? Food? Would that even work?
He could try that, but first, he needed to get a free hand! Struggling against the beast's grasp, Ford tried to wriggle loose and clamber back down the tree trunk safely.

Ford struggled and squirmed as he looked down to see his allies weren't faring much better. He needed to deal with this thing and now! Looking up, he could spy, what he suspected, were the bodies of previous victims; likely the ones responsible for that camp at the tree base. Ford was determined not to be one of those unfortunate souls.
Holding up his mace, Ford allowed the creature to keep climbing as he held up his index finger. Squinting slightly as it glowed with divine energy, Ford touched it to his morningstar and started to draw strange runes into the head of the weapon. By... The... Forge's... Grace! Ford thought, mentally translating the runes in his head.
Once finished, the glow from his finger had transferred to the runes, which shone brightly before suddenly panning out to cover the whole weapon. As the light died, Ford smiled at his morningstar - while it had been well crafted before, now it looked as if someone had taken the time to carve fantastic details and linings all over the tool, the metal perfectly smooth and the weight subtly, but noticeably reduced.
He'd have to be quick: he estimated he had roughly a minute to make use of his new weapon. But it should be enough. It would have to be! "Alright, you sorry excuse for a kobold's mother! Now you're in for it!"
Taking a full round action to carve 2 runes into my morningstar with Forgemaster's Blessing, making it a masterwork weapon for 1 minute. Should have 4 of 6 runes left.

"That is a fine new friend you've come across Lady Zova, and Diana is a fine name for such a creature." Hound spends a moment to look at the Fox.

Ford felt himself get a second wind as Hound assisted with his restoration, inhaling as he rolled his shoulders. Still a tad sore, but definitely able to fight, and fight well.
"Many thanks, Hound. I've read about dragons before, but I'm afraid my memory escapes me at the moment. It's one thing to read about it and recall from the safety of the library... it's another to recall it when you are faced with the threat firsthand, you know?" Ford said, casting his eyes to the sky again in nervous anxiety. Now that he thought about it, he'd been having some trouble of late, no doubt due to his fear of killing anything. He couldn't focus, and his allies were in danger because of it... he had to clear his mind.
"I vote that we move as quickly as possible. We've lost an unfortunate amount of time with all this danger." Ford pulled out his map as he looked it over, studying it a little. "I believe the Ulizima's hut is the closest to us at the moment... the monastery will likely be out last destination. If we can get there, I should be able to guide us through it quickly... barring any more troubles. Let's move."
Zova Lex
Aye, I have no problems with this, though as I only have 5 HP at the moment, I would like to be ten feet behind EVERYONE else.
the_Hound
Do you want another shot of healing Zova. I was thinking of giving myself one, it still leaves me with 1 spell but I can live with that.
Zova Lex
That would be brilliant if you could tap both of us before we head out. That way I could save my own use to smack one of you if things get dire within combat. It would be helpful to know where Alleran is in all of this. At any given moment it would be nice to know if he is about to drop so that we can get him to safety.
Oh, and I support Ford's plan. We should probably head off to find the witch. I'd personally even be willing to try to move faster to make up for lost time. Would that be a con check?

Hound spends a few moments after healing Ford to turn his battle spirit magic to healing both the Lady Zova and himself.

I'm just gonna assume that even if I fail I just try again, since I don't lose the spell.

The sounds of the forest become suddenly distant as the trees part, opening into a small, almost perfectly circular glade. The nearest stands of pine, eyln, and darkwood —all typically sturdy woods— twist away from the clearing, as if bent by some impossibly strong wind or seemingly in an attempt to flee despite their paralyzed roots.
At the glade’s center squats an ugly cottage, little more than a pile of twigs, shoots, and ivy stacked upon mud walls. From the thatched roof dangle bundles of gnarled roots, old dried beast carcasses, and knucklebone bangles, all clattering together like gruesome wind chimes.
A dozen small thatched fetishes—each shaped like a tiny man, imp, or rearing serpent—stand propped in the yard, keeping guard before a rickety plank door.

With whispered words Hound takes with the party. "So how do we want to approach this place?"
While waiting for a response he takes another glance around the yard hoping to see anything that height have missed with his first impression.

Ford halts at the edge of this clearing, looking cautiously at the hut in the glade's center. "...I think we've found our witch. She certainly live the part, doesn't she?" he mused, before drawing his morningstar from his belt. "I will go first. Hopefully, she'll be receptive to some visitors, but if not... we'll just be alert."
Ford raised a hand as he came closer to the cottage, concentrating to try and pick up on any magic that may be in the area.
Ford will approach the hut right up to the door, assuming nothing tries to attack him, while using Detect Magic as he gets closer. If nothing jumps out to get him before he reaches the door, he'll try to knock politely and call out for Ulizima.

Zova nods to Ford and draws her bow. "If you wish, you may do that. I will stay behind and watch for potential hostiles that may try to ambush us." With that, Zova stealthily makes her way to the house, avoiding any windows, and puts her back to the wood, bow in hand and looking out into the twisted brambles for any potential danger. She stands here silently, simply waiting for whatever dealings that go on inside the hut are over. After the last battle, it was best to be on guard.

There is magic coming from inside.
The air near the hut is much cooler. Moving closer, anyone can see frost building up around the door. The door is moldering and has rotted off its hinges; blocks the way within.
After Ford's knock and calls, the door bends in and splits apart, before falling into splinters on the ground.
Inside, the cottage is dank, reeking, and filled with shadows. Haphazardly hung shelves line the walls, covered in all manner of clay jugs, clouded bottles, strangely cut rocks, rotted bunches of herbs, and a museum of other crude curios and remnants of a bone grinder’s artifice. A rusted iron cauldron dominates the hut’s single room, its ash-covered surface shaped with a relief of capering finds and leering devils. Across from the door, against the far walls, stands a high backed chair made of wicker, the gigantic curved tusks of some monstrous beast, and thousands of human teeth. In the chair sits what looks like a corpse wrapped in filthy burial linens, its form padded with pungent herbs and sprouting patches of thick white mold.
A tall woman, in a white fur, stands right in front of the chair with her back to the door. She turns and looks to where the door was. Her skin is pale as winter snow and her eyes colder.
"She is not here, nor has she been here in some while."
The woman is from Irrisen. The land of Eternal Winter.
The woman is a White Witch. The White Witches govern and administer the nation of Irrisen. They are very proud, arrogant, and rarely leave their lands.

Hearing speaking inside, Zova gives one last glance over the forest and lowers her bow, cautiously stepping just outside the door. She gives a small bow as was custom in Cheliax when one enters a person's home. "I wish you good day, and apologize for intruding. We arerepresentatives of the town of Falcon's Hollow, and unfortunately, the people there have come down with a sinister blight as of late. We were informed that we might come across materials for a cure here... would you kindly be able to provide us with some assistance?" Zova examines the woman's body language, scanning for any signs of hostility.
