Ford is the son of a farming couple in Kassen, though he has often wished for much more than being a simple farmer. In fact, Ford dreams of being a leader for his own community, being it a farming town, a city, or anything else that has him at the top of the totem pole. To that end, Ford has trained to become a priest of Erastil, steadily building himself up as a cleric with the hopes of one day setting out to found his own town and make a name for himself.
Ford's training was initially slow since he lacked a formal teacher, but with the arrival of Father Prasst, his development has proceeded much more swiftly. Ford favors leading in practical ways, showing a knack for hunting and handling animals, holdovers from his time on the family farm. He has a particular love of cats, and although he has a pet one that patrols the farm for mice, he would dearly love a big one both as a symbol of authority and a sign of his capability with animals.
Ford is hoping to get selected for the Quest for the Everflame, both to be recognized as a capable priest, and as a proficient leader. He sees the journey as a test of his leadership abilities, and intends to pass with flying colors.
