Silian d'Thuranni

Silian produced the schema and handed it to her, he takes the offered bag of coins. Thank you, my Lady. My companions and I would be happy to assist you with further endeavors, preferably less sewer-infested. Those rats are vicious..." he hefts the coins and begins to count, "But the compensation is appreciated."
| Jonah d'Tharashk |
Listening in on the conversation, Jonah pensively continues to hold his peace.
All of these people have strengths and weaknesses, by the Host, I hope I measure up.

Awww, isn't that touching. Just think, Garotte, with Syksy's help someday you might become a real boy! :P
The body guard furrows his brow at the conversation but doesn't involve himself in what he sees as utter foolishness. Seeing that Garotte has taken to following Akasha's lead, and that Akasha has agreed to the suggestion he instead nods his head to her before stepping back.
"If there is nothing else, we shall take our leave. Thank you, again," Lady Elaydren says standing from her seat at the table and securing the schema within her bag.

Pulling out his coin pouches, Silian spends a few moments stacking coins, and then slides two hundred galifars to Syksy and Jonah, sliding a double pile of four hundred to Akasha, "Since the not-tool wasn't designed with pockets I believe you have been holding onto his earnings." Silian stands with the rest of the group. "Well I have a crazy shopkeeper to find and talk to... if her shoppe wants to be found at the moment. Any of you are welcome to accompany me, otherwise I'll see you lovelies at home later." Smiling he adds, "Assuming you are all still along for this ride. Vannevar has Thuranni business to attend to and must leave our company for a time." Without waiting for a reply he winks, blows a kiss to Syksy and Akasha, and leaves the Anvil to seek Aurora.

Syksy happily smiles and almost attempts to grab the blown kiss with his hand but stops himself and as he watches air incase it, to his apparent vision, floats to Akasha instead. After waiting for the "kiss" to complete its travel he turns to his boss. "Um, Miss Akasha? Would it be best for me to accompany Mister Silian so he's not alone or will he be okay and shall I stay with you and Mister Jonah?"

"Hmm... I'm sure Silian can handle himself but up to you. I figured we can see about getting any gear that might be useful." Akasha says smiling and giving Silian a wink. "You have the freedom to do whatever you like Syksy, either way I'm fine, you've definitely already proven yourself." she adds with a grin.

Silently Syksy looks back and forth between the magus and the druid, but resists mentally tossing a coin and leaving it to luck.
In the end he defaulted to his contract (sorry Silian) and a chance to ask his beautiful employer something about his past rather than follow the majestic elf to a shop that may or may not be there. "I believe that I would like to accompany you then in the acquisition of gear, if that is okay?"

The man from House Cannith pauses when he realizes that Garotte means to follow him. "Oh... alright, I suppose I can take you there. Excuse me for a moment," he says before stepping over to his mistress and talking to her quietly. She glances over her shoulder at Garotte and then nods her head in acquiescence.
"Shall we?" he says returning to Garotte.
He keeps Lady Elaydren close to him, his eyes alert and scanning the streets ahead as he leads you through Sharn's Upper Cogs to the Ashblack district. You soon arrive at the central hub of forges that is the House Cannith enclave in Sharn. He takes you into one of the looming buildings and you're struck with a wave of heat as soon as the doors open. The forge is sustained with ruins and suspended above the room is a platform piled with tools and various devices.
"Excuse me for a moment," he says again before leaving you to stand in the entrance while he speaks to one of his kin.
The older man he speaks to has clearly spent his life in the forge, his muscles bulge and his skin has that particularly leathery look of one who works so close to heat. His hair is graying at the temples but when he turns to look at your group, you see that his eyes are still young. He smiles at the group and waves you over to him.
Silian and Jonah leave the Broken Anvil and make their way through the streets, following Silian's lead as he tries to recall exactly where he last saw Aurora's shop. Unsurprisingly, he finds that he can't quite peg down the location.

This immediately reverses as they step into the foundry, his movements becoming stiff and cautious. Still, that doesn't impede his ability to look over everything in awe, from the tools to the resources to what they're creating his eyes contract and expand in focus as they dance over the large room.

Did we learn the name of her shoppe?

Jonah wanders along, looking around the sights and sounds of the city.
Other than asking directions, I am not completely sure.
I don't have any spells that would come in handy right now. :(

The man bows to the group as you approach, "Greetings, welcome to House Cannith. I've been told that an offer of services have been made. The cost has been waived in lieu of services rendered. I am Loreth d'Cannith, how may I be of service?"
The two of you continue to wander around in hopes of locating the shop, but the more Silian thinks about it, the less he realizes he can recall about the shop. All he can recall is that it was rather nondescript, nothing that stood out about the place from the outside - not even a sign declaring the name of the place.
Suddenly, Silian's foot brushes against something in the middle of the road and he looks down. A leather bound journal sits in the middle of the street.

Finding the journal free of any apparent trap, Silian unlaces the plane, nondescript journal and opens it to the first page.
If this journal has found you, then it is now yours. Do not allow it to lose you.
Turn the page?

For the first round spent with detect magic, you definitely detect the presence of magical auras.
Silian turns the page and words appear before his eyes on an otherwise blank page.
I'm having tea. I shall be finished in either two weeks or three minutes. You will arrive then. If it cannot wait, write your request or accept the bond.
Jonah and Silian both become aware of an attempted telepathic bond connection. Requires a choice to accept or deny the bond.

He kneels, taking a moment to withdraw ink and quill and sets about writing a response. To Jonah he says, "Whether or not this is tied to Aurora... this is about to get interesting. Be on guard." and into the book he scribbles, I seek information on the whereabouts of a hi'gajutar-latagu called Rylsiali, last seen by my person in the Talenta wilderness half a century ago...
Against his better judgement, hoping to find answers, Silian allows the bond. As the player prays it's not a horcrux. He sighs under his breath, "I've about my fill of Sharn and its madmen..."
| DM Twilight |
Jonah, are you allowing the bond as well? No thoughts, no actions, no words about anything that is happening?
Images flash through Silian's mind, swirling, spinning, and bleeding into one another. He sees a million lives spread out before him, each forming their own tree with twisting branches. As one path is taken the rejected branches wither and die while more branches spread forth from the new path forming new potential realities waiting to be fulfilled or wither away into forgotten nothingness, their potential lost.
A mother wailing over her lost son, taken by the beast that is war. The peak of a mountain risen from the ground only to erode back to the earth once more. A couple making passionate love. Birds singing in the early morning. A child being born. A dragon's horde, gold and platinum, gems and tomes stacked as high as you can see. A battle being waged on a blood soaked field. A crashed airship in a terrible storm. The stillness of a lake.
A door suddenly slams shut in Silian's mind stopping the images from flooding through.
He hears Aurora's voice, "Oh, terribly sorry. I forgot. Let me just..."
Silian gets the sense of Aurora sifting through his memories. You can chose to stop the action.
-----
Jonah watches as Silian writes in the journal and then tilts his head back to the sky, his eyes moving rapidly as if watching a scene unfold that only he can see.
The presence remains there, just at the recesses of Jonah's mind waiting to be allowed in or dismissed.
"This damage... much of it is old, why have you not sought repair sooner?" Loreth asks.

Silian tries to grit his teeth but he stands rigid as the memories flash in his mind, memories of whatever ancient entity Aurora happens to be, though he is starting to suspect. Silian allows the memories to sift, never knowing what minor detail might be able to be used later.
