She was doing her best to stay calm, and look cool... but all the ruckus the kobolds were making plus the unfamiliarty of the large beasts made her nervous... more than nervous really.

"guys... lets hurry please... go you stupid hunk of walking steak go!"

She said her tone clearly held the undertones of fear in it as she tried to push the placid heifer in front of her to move faster and clearly she was failing to even budge the thing.

STR check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6

Baldwin keeps his mace ready in his hand as the kobolds make their noise. "I don't think reasoning with them is likely to be of much use, Sinch. Not before they really come to understand the cost of stealing the cattle or attacking us."

Zahk'rii straightens, readies his sabre and turns around to face the direction where the sound is coming from.
"Hear that, me hearties? Sounds like a bunch of gobshites about to learn that the biggest fish orders the smaller ones around! Hahahahaha!"

Without much delay, the dragonborn starts banging his shield with the pommel of his blade as he yells loud and clear in draconic

Draconic:

"You are trying to bite more than you can chew! If you keep going you'll face Zahk'rii the Crimson Death! I'll offer one chance to go back and life to see another dawn, but were you to forsake the offer there will be no survivors!"

After speaking Zahk roars while keeping thr banging sound
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

The intimidation seemed to work. The caves have gone quiet. You were lucky, this time.

Sinch does his best to shrug off that nagging feeling. Surely, we won't be overrun by the little bastards.

He slaps the rump of the cow he had been walking up against.

Sinch, you do start a stampede. But its uncontrollable by you or anyone else, the cows (and bulls) have broken free of your control and stampede out of the caves, going were they want to go. They aren't going to stampede back to their farms, they are uncontrollable. You can gain control of the herd if you use another handle animal check.

Baldwin looks back as the trailing kobolds fall silent. "Whatever you said to them, Zahk, it sure seems to have worked. I didn't understand a word of it and it still sent shivers down my spine. Nicely done."

In conversing with Sinch...
"I'm no knight, Sinch. I am farm born and cannot afford a warhorse. I'm not even a full priest and the authority I wield within the church is low. So just call me Baldwin. That's always been enough."

As the cows start to get frisky, Baldwin rushes out to try to help herd them back into some semblance of order but doesn't prove to be of much help.

Zahk'rii managed to tone down the spirit of the stampede. There are a few straggling cows and bulls, but Zahk managed to do such a thing. With the cows back (barely) under control, Sinch or someone else with the skill for handling animals can drive them back to their farms.

Sinch, you managed to gain control of the cattle and now you can drive them to where they need to go, although they are no longer in a stampede.
The cows and bulls almost all managed to stop with your handling. There are ten cattle left to be herded.


Female Grey Elf Rogue 1

I wanna be a cowgirl: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Still peering over her shoulder to the kobold cave the elf cheerfully made mooing noises at a couple of the cows, trying to make them move to where they needed to go.


Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The cave is left behind as you drive the cattle to where they need to go. Back to their farms. The grisly tones of dead cattle are left behind. The animals are still scared, but they move in the direction you drive them. It's almost like they want to go home.
