Werpfoil the Cunning |

Based on Crellan's rolls above, I submit Al'Roque Falrouran.
Still working on background, but the gyst is that wasting disease as a youth left him all but paralyzed - so he spent his childhood reading adventure stories, focused on the pathfinders. Knowing that he would never have strength of body, he studied voraciously, including magic from an early age, to strengthen his mind in hopes that he could someday become a figure such as he read about in his youth.

Obi Canicus |

Obi Canicus wrote:Shaggar is one interesting gnoll. Thanks, Obi. I try to make characters that go against type and have enough twists and turns to their personality that they'll be fun to play over the long haul.
I've done that before. Only one I ever played was a Half-Orc Wizard in Neverwinter Nights. This was still in 3.5 when Half-Orcs had a -2 Int, so the people on my PVP team probably didn't like me too much. :)
Obi is kind of the same. Who expects a sorcerer to act the way he does? I've played him in a Kingmaker game, and he started off really shy and easily scared. He was afraid to make anyone even the tiniest bit upset, but he eventually came out of his shell.

I'm interested. Let's see what the dice say. . . .
5d6 - 9 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 6, 4) - 9 = 18
5d6 - 3 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 6, 2) - 3 = 14
5d6 - 6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 5, 6) - 6 = 17
5d6 - 3 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 3, 4) - 3 = 11
5d6 - 3 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 2, 2) - 3 = 11
5d6 - 5 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 2, 5) - 5 = 13
Edit: nice. I'll see what I can put together.

Saresha |

Speak of the devil ...
The rest of Saresha!
The priests of Torag (mostly humans, in Andoran) however, recognized her blood for what it was - not demonic, but flame-touched. They named the child Saresha, and tried to raise her in the ways of the temple of Torag.
Saresha was not what you'd call 'tempermentally suited' to life in a church. Naturally hot-tempered, impulsive, and full of the fire in her blood, she often clashed with the clerics and visitors to their temple. However, her resistance to fire, and a natural interest in forging and creating as the priests did, made her a somewhat exciting but still welcome addition to the temple.
As she grew, her devotion to Torag became personal, and she studied with the students to become a Paladin. Though she still struggled with the sometimes impulsive nature of her heritage, Saresha has a naturally good heart, and a keen desire to follow the teachings of her God.
Saresha has also read stories of the Pathfinders since she was a little kid. Andoran, while a good home for her, is a bit boring for her tastes. She's always wanted to explore, to get out into the world, and blaze great trails, but home and hearth have always seemed tantamount to the people around her, and so she has held down those desires.
After her training was complete, the head of the clerics approached her. It was time, she said, for Saresha to face that last demon of hers that she had never faced before; and that was her heritage and origins. They gave her her horse, named Daystar, and the money she would need to journey on from Almas and out into the world she had studied in the Pathfinder logs under her covers at night.
Saresha prayed for guidance. Where to begin? Her parents were never found. Nobody had even a guess as to where she'd come from, and to be honest, Saresha had no interest in them anyway. But she did remember those stories of the Pathfinders ...
First stop was definitely Absalom, where she made her membership with the fabled guild of explorers. Now she's been assigned to explore Kelmarane - and she's set off eagerly. Maybe its coincidence or maybe its what the priests back home wanted for her ... but the land of fire and desert seems like a good start to a campaign for finding herself as much as it is for fighting evil.
She is a bit nervous about beginning her adventures, but there is only so much reading that she can do before she simply has to go experience things for herself. She's very keen to impress the Pathfinders and move up in the ranks. For the most part, Saresha is an enthusiastic, easily excitable person, though woe betide you if you incurr her wrath. She's here to find out who she is - and that's as much to do with what she does as it is to do with where she came from.
Pending a convo with Twil, Snowball will get added in there somewhere. :) Putting it in her alias too.

Divinitus |

Can my character have the pesh-sorceror feats? I don't remember the name of them, but they are in Dark Markets, A Guide to Katapesh. Also, where do you draw the line regarding what makes a character neutral and what makes a character evil? I have seen plenty of amoral characters who were classified as some form of neutral, but I was wondering on your opinion, since only good and neutral characters are allowed.

Irvask Ironbloom |

okay, read over the backstory
one way to maybe go, he was raised by the church as well, but was the bad seed as it were in comparison to his sister. Showing no interest in the worship of Torag, but a mind similarly absorbed with adventure and the pathfinder society. They will probably have a friendly sibling rivalry within the society at least(and probably other aspects of everyday life.)
Here's the alias I'll be using, info in the profile is from a previous character, disregard that for now. He'll be boisterous, hot-headed, jolly, a seeker of adventure at heart.
would you consider allowing me to alter the bard weapon proficiency slightly to theme? Replacing the rapier with scimitar? both are one handed martial melee weapons that deal 1d6 and crit on 18-20/x2

Roondar Anunciata |

I would like to add my name to the possible recruitment.
This character was made for a 20 point buy Legacy of Fire that I was not lucky enough to get into, so I will have to edit her.
It's a summoner, but I'm far from a powergamer :)
I would like to join because I had some PBP fun, but then the groups suddenly died on me.. Strange, and really sad!
5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 3, 5) = 18 >> 14
5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 2, 5) = 13 >> 11
5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 6, 6) = 25 >> 18
5d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 5, 3) = 17 >> 14
5d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 6, 1) = 23 >> 17
5d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 6, 1, 5) = 20 >> 16
Wow! Euhm, if these are a bit over the top, I will not mind downgrading some of them.. Just let me know, I will wait before I edit my character to these (godlike) stats.

So, I just spent ages working on a back story for a different application and I'm super burnt out at the moment, but all this talk ofinterwoven backgrounds gave me an idea.
Feel free to shoot this down and I'll start a new character, but:
Nursemaid Gylarra
Lvl 1 LG Dwarven Cleric (Torag)
Super Slimline Backstory
Gylarra is an elderly dwarf of 212 years, who has spent most of her life in service to Torag in Almas. She is slow and methodical in her faith, working constantly to shape and forge those around her into stronger people. Some would call her old-fashioned, and there is no denying that she is a stickler for rules, but Gylarra is always welcome to take ideas onboard if they can bring about greater good.
As protective as her deity, when two orphaned ifriti were left on the doorstep of her temple Gylarra could not resist taking them into her care. Never having had children of her own Gylarra took them to be a divine blessing. Given how firey they were, some have suggested that the two would never have made it to adulthood if they didn't have a carer as patient as Gylarra. Indeed, they tested her patience to the limits frequently.
Still, mothers are mothers regardless of blood. And so, when the two twins finally set of to adventure the great world as pathfinders, Gylarra couldn't resist fretting. Eventually, the worry (and loneliness) got too much, and so Gylarra set off to Katapesh to make sure the people she cared about most came to no harm.
As I said, I'm happy to be shot down and come up with another character if need be. Thoughts?
EDIT: Some google'd art

Alright, Snowball has a Profile now. I'm still sorting out the background and such. Mostly I want to figure out a story for how he met Saresha. Gimme an hour or three and I'll have something fairly solid.

I don't buy that
If only they'd look closer
Would they see a poor boy? No, siree
They'd find out
There's so much more to me
I think that'd mesh really well with the "Reclaiming Your Roots" trait. Perhaps seeking to redeem the reputation of your family / mentor.
I've always really liked the trope and think you could really do it justice.
ETA: I may change the Ogres in my backstory to Gnolls and his trait to "Gnoll Killer." It'd also make it way more fun to play with Shaggar.
