Beinir Hammerfall
"Yes, someplace up high for a lookout. Perhaps with a barracks for troops? Shall we see about the old living quarters? Probably off through that doorway over there?" Beinir gestures toward the opening across from the one where we entered.
Rauve Adelbero
Rauve enter's the monastery cautiously, looking for any signs of tracks or recent movement. Survival: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
While he is combing the entrance he gives Farra the hand signal for stay. Coming back to the group whispers a report of what he found (if anything), "Alright, so we ought to be quiet keep your voices down. This town is rumored to gnolls and they likely pass through here every once in a while. We should try not to alert anything that may be currently in here unless necessary. I also agree with Beinir about looking for the living quaters, could provide some insight, any other suggestion?"
Sn0wball
As Rauve whispers, Ghirhuk looks from the clanky cleric to the clanky paladin and shrugs. He says, at a lower than conversational tone, Yes. We go to sleeping place. Find why they leave. Fix bad thing. Then kill gnolls dead.
Rafael The Silent
Bahram you are sure of the gnolls moving in Kelmarane, but you also notice what might be movement in the hills beyond the town. Rauve you notice tracks of small feet most of them leading to the chapel ahead. And Beinir you infer by the style of the decoratios that this must be a old monastery of Sarenrae, though there is something different a conspicuous ausence of decorations depicting her.
As you enter through the south corridor you pass by two open doors, or rather one open door and a broken one, still you recognize the rooms as a mess hall and a kitchen, to your surprise you see three pugwampis trying to cook. They are distracted and do not notice you, at least initially. Also you can see farther up ahead in the corridor a statue of a winged woman, namely Sarenrae.
Beinir Hammerfall
Beinir shares his observations about the monastery quietly before moving into the corridor. He nods toward the pugwampis and gets ready to charge in and bash them with his longhammer.
Unless someone signals a desire for silence or moving on, Beinir readies an action to move in and smash the pugwampis as soon as any characters casting spells have gone.
Attack 1 of 2 due to unluck 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Attack 2 of 2 due to unluck 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
and unluck wins round 1 with a double dose of a terrible damage roll too.
Sn0wball
Ghirhuk is about to send forth a blast of elemental cold, but then looks at Bahram. He sighs and waits for someone to clash with the pugwampis before unleashing the ray.
Ranged Touch: Elemental Ray: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Cold Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Ghirhuk is specifically waiting for Bahram to get the jump on someone. If anyone jumps into melee before that, he'll blast an unoccupied pugwampi with an Elemental Ray
Rauve Adelbero
Rauve sets his quarterstaff quietly against the wall and pulls a spear from his back. As soon as Saresha or Beinir move in he follows right behind staying to the left (North?) side of the the room to give as much vision as possible to those still outside.
Attack roll 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Attack roll 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Bahram the rogue
well maybe stealth is out now but try anyway
seeing the creetures inattentive to our entrance Bahram attempts to slip into the shadows.
stealth #1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
stealth #2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
for the unlucky result of 15.
Bahram attempts to manuver into a silent striking distance.
Rafael The Silent
Yeah I keep things moving, I consider she attacks one of the pugwampis, but I was also swamped this weekend. You can use stealth as they are distracted and you are acting first Bahram.
Bahram's attack roll:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 142d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 3) + 2 = 11
Saresha's attack roll:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 92d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 5) + 4 = 12
Bahram tries to move silently behind the pugwampis, but in a complete lack of luck he teps over a broken plate crunching, and alerting the gremlins, surprised Bahram takes the initiative and cuts at the pugwampi closer to him but it dodges. Soon both Saresha and Beinir begin to swing their eapons at the gremlins but they both miss, hindered by the collection of plates, cups and others kitchen utensils scattered by the floor. Following these two Rauve moves in the room without worrying about the scattered junk and pierces one of the pugwampi's in the gut with his spear. Followed by this another of the gremlins is hit by an white ray.
One of the pugwampi's is dying, another took the 5 dmg, and another is completely okay.

Round 2
Beinir curses at his poor luck and moves to try to smash the unharmed pugwampi. "At least I can put this mess back together later if we need to." He swings his longhammer again, certain that plates are more likely victims than the tiny fey.
Attack 1 of 2 due to unluck 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Attack 2 of 2 due to unluck 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1) + 3 = 9
Rauve Adelbero
Round 2
At Beinir's strange comment Rauve gives a snort grunt that that could probably be construed as a laugh in the midst of battle. He then goes to stab the pugwampi that is shivering, "This place has been abandoned for years, no need or reason to fix the place up now, Beinir."
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Beinir Hammerfall
Beinir laughes, "Not in the middle of battle for sure Rauve, but it may not be long before we're using this as an outpost and unbroken dishes and unbent forks might be helpful. Now if only we could hit these elusive nuisances!"
Rafael The Silent
Three players for PCs group one, two players for Group 2. I forgot to post my modified rules in the discussion.
The pugwampis keep avoiding your attacks, and they begin to fight back, one of them tries to punch his dagger torugh a opening in your armor Saresha. The other tries to cut away at Rauve's leg. Both of the creatures prove too imconpetent to succeed.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d4 - 4 ⇒ (4) - 4 = 0
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 131d4 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2

attack roll 2: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 = 14

Saresha flails her sword around some more:
RAR: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
ROR: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Damages: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 = 16
This is beginning to make the paladin quite irritable really. If anything, her reddish skin is getting redder, and the curses off of her lips are increasingly crackly and violent sounding for those that don't understand Ignan.
Tangible heat washes away from her in waves.
Hope no one minds the random Ifrit flavor :)
Rauve Adelbero
Round 3
Not sure which Group I am in. I get all the parts about the combat except determining which group has which people.
Rauve kicks at the pugwampi to move it away from his left then goes to stab the little demon again. "If this Ifrit is actually a paladin she certainly curses a lot..."
Untrained Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 ⇒ 21d20 ⇒ 4
Attacks 1 and 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage?: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Well Rauve doesn't know a thing about Torag I guess. Haha
Also sadface for the not critical because pugwampis are stupid.
Rafael The Silent
Whoever comes to the boards first is on that group. That way people don't have to wait for their turn, well except when it is my turn, but that can't be solved. By the way sorry for the time but my internet connection today was horrible.
Round 2
While trying to navigate the debris Bahram makes an opening that one of the gremlins take advantage of 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d4 - 4 ⇒ (4) - 4 = 0 but the attack fails to pass trough your leather armor. Ghiruk ray bring down one more of the gremlins leaving only one standing. Saresha swings her sword some more, and hits one of the pugwampis, but it was such a light hit that the creature looks unharmed.
Because of the debris each of you in the kitchen's must make a acrobatics check or take 1d3 damage.
Saresha:1d20 - 4 ⇒ (3) - 4 = -11d20 - 4 ⇒ (20) - 4 = 16
Bahram:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 211d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Rauve:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 181d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Beinir:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 31d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16
DMG:1d3 ⇒ 31d3 ⇒ 21d3 ⇒ 3
As you fight agaisnt the pugwampis all of you except Bahram, who is accostumed to moving in difficult terrain step on sharp edges of destroyed plates and cups.
Saresha takes 3 dmg, Beinir also 3 dmg, Rauve takes 2 dmg.
The last pugwampi scared begins to shout at the same time he tries to slash one of your feets Bahram.1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 131d4 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2 Alas for his infortune he misses.
End of Round 2
Round 3
Rauve's spear goes trough the remaining pugwampi completely killing the gremlin. At the same time Snowball see some monkeys coming out of a room near the statue. Upon later seeing them the three from the region will recognize them as Baboons.

Saresha thrashes around some more, yelling angrily in Ignan. Her skin is almost steaming, hot red and living up to her nickname. Apparently Paladins are allowed to curse?
Now that the pugwumpis are down, she kicks at some more plates and charges towards the nearest baboon. Maybe she can hit these!
Sn0wball
{b]Red-Hot![/b] Ghirhuk calls after Saresha.
With a sigh, Snowball lets loose with another Ray of Frost. Aiming at one of the babboons Saresha didn't attack.

ROUND 4
Rauve hobbles after everyone else, cursing at his left leg for not cooperating very well.
Leg: 1d100 ⇒ 17 = Shortened move
Rafael The Silent
Saresha already "killed it", but by the rules a creature is still dying untill it reaches a total of negative hit points equal her constitution.
One of the Baboons trie to bites Saresha and fails, while another manages to sink it's teeth in her leg. The just arrived Beinir hammer cracks this Baboon head agaisnt the wall. The other Baboons come closer but still outside the reach of melee. Saresha you take 4 dmg
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Okay Round 3 there is still Bahram. And Rauve you might want to change that action as you heading for a now threatened square.

Round 4
Bahram you move but can't get inside range. Saresha and Beinir you're on.
Rafael The Silent
Beinir your hammer beats with rewarding sound of bones creacking when it touches the monkey who crumbles in a limp form at the ground. Before the Baboon in front of her can move Saresha cuts with a certain practised motion that cuts open the monkey belly. At the same time his companion falls the last baboon tries to jump and bite you, but in a trained movement you take half step backwards avoiding the monkey's attack.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 41d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Everyone else; you guys are on. Rauve after moving you can attack now since there is one Baboon in reach.
Rauve Adelbero
I had to take a double move since I move slow. :(
Rafael The Silent
Snowball speaks some words in draconic as he moves his hand leting loose a white ray that hits the baboon squarely in the chest. Ray of frost:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Following that Bahram moves forward and thrusts at the irritating monkey with his rapier: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 151d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 The blade's tip pierces the animal's right eye till it hit bone instantly killing the monkey.

"Well done everyone! Are you all well enough to continue or do some of you have wounds requiring tending?" Beinir reaches into his belt and pulls out a wand which he quickly uses to heal the damage inflicted in trying to catch the pugwampis. Cure light wounds (1 charge) 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
"Ah, Rauve, it looks like you've been nicked up as well." Cure light wounds (1 charge) 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

"I have no idea who that is, religion was never my forte. And unless it provides us with any information with the current residents of this place, I doubt it will be of much use. I say we keep clearing this place, the sooner the better" Rauve dismisses the statue with a wave of his hand, he didn't like having to deal with the monkeys. Why were they here, what has them riled up like that. He definitely seemed to be preoccupied with his thoughts and was slowly wandering farther south past the statue.

Besides the statue there is an open door through which you can see a room with five austere beds lining the north wall of what was a humble office and living quarters. A dented metal chest rests at the foot of each bed, and a simple mosaic pattern of red and orange glass chips brings some color to the wall. A layer of grime and filth coats many of the surfaces in this small room, and the redolent stench of dirty fur hangs heavy in the air.
Walking further in the corridor you see a a wooden closed door, and an archway leading to a chamber with ten bunk beds in various stages of disrepair, a room that must once have been a dormitory for students. The roof is mostly intact, the east and west walls both bear sturdy wooden doors leading to other rooms.
Rauve Adelbero
Rauve heads towards the the Dormitory, but realizes that he forgot his quaterstaff back by the kitchen. He turns back around cursing under breath and almost running into Saresha. "Huh! Oh, sorry." He definitely seems very distracted now.
After he grabs his quaterstaff, he peers into the mess hall quickly to check if there is anything they glazed over. Doubt anything is in here, would have come out when it heard all the noise, but might as well take a quick look.
