Saronis
He takes the lead and goes through the offered door. On the other side he waits for Cil to check for traps and then follows.
GM Wolf
Still on the same level you can see that the half walls begin again. Every 15 to 20 feet there is a halfwall coming from the wall on the right or left side, leaving just enough room for a medium creature to get through.
Cil taking her time finds a pressure plate and deactivates the trap. She then tells the group, "This seems odd, it is a spell of prismatic ray or something like it, the magic might be stronger but easier to disable. It is strange and it could take a while to disable all the pressure plates. We could try to just activate some of them with a rock from a distance and see what happens or see what happens to one of us?"
Tanira
Tanira lifts her crossbow and takes cover behind one of the half-high walls.
Quantos
Quantos lifts a shield to guard himself and tightens his grip on his sword.
Cil
Cil listens to the detonations carefully, saying to the others "Seems someone wasn't careful enough..."
She then begins the tedious task of activating the pressure plates from a distance, throwing bits of rock and brick....
Cil
What happened to activating from a distance?...Cil's no idiot, she'd be way back....oh well....
Will save DC 12 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Cil watches as the colours play over her body, then shrugs as they leave not effect.

will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 vs DC 12
Saronis
Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Saronis looks around at himself then the others, quietly he asks, "Did that affect you? Did 'I' resist it? Any clue what that was... magic people? They are pressure plates right? So if Cil just circles them in chalk we can just not step on them right?"
GM Wolf
Well with my calculations, the next plate will be past the next halfwall. Which means that you could be 20 feet back next to the door that just got locked behind you. Though not all of you could be flat against the wall with crates and such on either side of the group. So Tanira and Jake can be in back and not affected since they are not in the radius of the spell.
Tanira
Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Spellcraft failed: Prismatic Spray is level 7, the DC it 'being cast' is 22. Not sure whether this isn't rather Knowledge (Arcana) anyway.
"I am sorry, no idea what that was, but we rather stay away from this if we, by any means, can."
Quantos
spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
GM Wolf
You believe the spell is confusion, you remember about the higher level spells from your studies even though it was beyond you at that time. Likely the trap was made much cheaper and is easier to dismiss. Not looking won't help, the colors are likely just a minor image going with the confusion spell.

A confused character who can't carry out the indicated action does nothing but babble incoherently. Attackers are not at any special advantage when attacking a confused character. Any confused character who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes. Note that a confused character will not make attacks of opportunity against any creature that it is not already devoted to attacking (either because of its most recent action or because it has just been attacked).
A Knowledge Arcana check might help.
Quantos
"This spell trap has some pretty bad effects. We definitely do not want anyone having a chance of being in the area. Shielding your eyes means nothing, the colors are primarily secondary." With that, Quantos moves away from the trap, as surely as he can be outside the area of the spell when the trap goes off.
GM Wolf
Cil takes the lead marking the traps and setting them off at a distance hoping that will help.
About 50 feet in something strange happens.

Quantos
Shield and blade at the ready, Quantos steps forward. "Be on guard, goblins ahead babbling. They might have fallen victim to the confusion spell. If so, they may sort themselves out. Anyone understand what they're saying?"
Quantos will move forward to protect party members, but if our trap-handler is particularly far in front of the group, he will not move ahead of her, but will place himself as such to prevent enemy movement into the majority of the party if possible.
Tanira
Tanira hesitates for just a heartbeat, considering whether she should use her charm spell on one of them. But since this seems to be going on and on she's not quite ready to cast her very last spell for today. It's just a handful of goblins anyway.
She throws her hair on her back, rests her crossbow on one of the walls, waits until she gets a shot at one of the goblins behind the walls and then takes it.
"Goblins" she hisses.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

assuming we are moving down and to the left according to that map, i have moved my token where i want it.
Quantos rounds the corner, and on seeing the creature, swings his sword in a horizontal arc even with his foe's over-sized head.

"What? Goblins? where?" Cil asks as Tanira and Quantos pass her to the next halfwall.
She then joins them, crouching at the wall, waiting for an opportunity to strike...
Rising up she fires her crossbow ..

Round 1
Saronis moves up making sure not to step on the chalk outlined pressure plate. He keeps an eye out and his ears listening for anything more strange.
Tanira
Tanira follows her comrades careful to not trigger one of the traps either.
Quantos
Quantos rounds the next corner, and slashes at the next creature he sees... another cursed goblin.

Saronis moves forward slowly following Cil, as Jake follows him. Anyone else in the following line?
The goblin takes a moment to realize something is threatening it and screams but does little else.
Quantos
according to the map, Quantos is in the lead. He will remain until the others catch up, not wanting to be far ahead, if ahead at all, of the trapsmith.
Tanira
Tanira follows the others.
Double move. I repositioned her on the map this time. Last round I basically did nothing. I may have to recalculate the weight she's carrying though. With all the stuff she has a movement rate of 60 ft. occurs strange to me.
Tanira
"That's odd." Tanira thinks as she lifts her crossbow to get a shot past Quantos.
The goblins seemed to be hardly in fighting condition. If they were standing guard here they were doing a lousy job... They might have planted the traps, but certainly not made them. Tanira wasn't so sure whether they were necessarily enemies in the first place, with all that confusion about allegiance around here. That didn't stop her from shooting, though. They were goblins after all, though the thought gnawed on her.
Zharon was following in her exact footsteps, which was good, because the last thing she needed was her little red friend being hurt by a trap.
Five-foot-step to the side to get a clear line of sight

Quantos swings again at the little creature.

Tanira
As the goblin is struck down Tanira hisses: "Don't move, there's traps all over." to Zharon. Though she does not understand her words he realizes the command and understands her concern, as she does understand his concern to be in such an unfamiliar, unnatural place.
Tanira keeps standing in place until Cil passes by her and tries to cover the area with her crossbow.
Quantos
Quantos also remains in place, waiting for the trapsmith to work her magic.
GM Wolf
Cil misses one of the traps and continues on, then finds it with her own foot.
The spell goes off and everyone needs to make a Will Save DC 12 or act confused...

Tanira
When the strange, confusing lights of the spell wash over Tanira has her trouble remaining sane. First she feels lucky that nothing bad seems to have happened and her trusty fox - who was able to avoid the worst behind the cover of the half high walls anyway - seems unaffected as well. But her comrades seem to have been not quite as lucky.
"Stop it! Focus on my voice!" she speaks out loud but doesn't shout, since she might attract unnescessary attention otherwise. "Cil, can you hear me?"
Saronis
Saronis lets Tanira grab their attention as he takes a few steps forward ready in case something does come their way.
GM Wolf
The nasty spell may have a low save, but it lasts a long time. In fact it will persist until you save. As Tanira calls out to you to come out of it, each of you gain a +2 on your next save, make a saving throw each round until you save.
Luckily the goblins within the area have been driven mad, though that does not make them non threatening. As Saronis soon finds out with a goblin charging him... Saronis take your swing.

Rooted to the spot, Cil proeeds to babble in a few different languages on the merits of washing dishes with rocks and metal shards....
GM Wolf
Thanks Cil, RL has been kicking me while I was down, sorry for the absences.
The goblin charges Saronis and he slices its legs out from under him and the goblin does not move again. It wasn't even armed at least with a proper weapon, some strange bone club or possibly just a femur of some kind. No other threats appear but not everyone is back.
