Are you out the tickets, EF? Cause that sucks :(
You can refund them online before the 14th but it is too late for that. You can also refund them when you get there but since I can't make it there's no way for me to do anything about it. It was only two tickets ($6 each) so I'm not too concerned.
@EF no I wasn't aware of your misfortune :( it's a shame... May be you would be able to attend to the PaizoCon France, in Paris, the 14th&15th November ? There will be some English tables if you're worried about your French :P
Unfortunately on a graduate student budget I don't think I'd be able to make it to an international con. Even getting down to GenCon from Wisconsin was going to cost quite a bit in gas.

Aiuda Drowbane |

So even if I didn't have to work, I would have still had trouble making it to GenCon this year. My truck was parked out on the street in front of our house and two nights ago some asshat pulled a hit-and-run in the middle of the night and totalled the driver's side.
Edit: Oh cool, Paizo doesn't block "asshat". New favorite curse word for the boards, lol.

Aiuda Drowbane |

Yeah, it's 20 years old but I've done most of the work on it myself and it's in perfect condition. To repair it fully would cost about three times the value of the truck and I knew the insurance company would never agree to pay for that but I really don't want them to total it so I was able to work with the body shop guy to cut some corners and get the estimate down to the value of the truck. Hopefully the insurance will cover the repairs now; I should hear back today. Worst case scenario is I will have to pay a few hundred out of pocket on top of the deductible because I will not let them total it. New trucks are too expensive and the one I have now is in perfect mechanical condition and has absolutely no rust on it. I really want it to last a few more years.

Note: I will be leaving Saturday, Aug. 22 for a ten day trip to Italy. The hotel is supposed to have wifi, and I hope to have time in the evenings to update. That being said, this is my and my wife's first trip to Italy and I foresee being exhausted in the evenings as we try to cram in as much sightseeing as possible. I'm currently in the process of moving the maps to Google Slides, so that I have a modicum of edit ability from my mobile. I will return late Sept. 2 and will back to regular posting Sept. 3/4.

Sven Marsh |

Hope you enjoy your trip in Italy !
It's a shame you wasn't able to make a stop to Paris, It will have been my pleasure to welcome you here :)

Bill the Wizard |

I am leaving for vacation to North Carolina tomorrow evening and I will be gone until the 4th of October. I should still be able to update every day, but some days might prove inconsistent.

Bill the Wizard |

Lol, gotta let everyone know!

Aiuda Drowbane |

Could we get a quick recap/summary of our mission here and what we've done/discovered so far? I admit I've gotten a bit lost lately going from one random room to the next.

GM Tektite |

I apology for the radio silence. I have had some changes in RL that have left me with little time to even look at a computer. I know this seems to be a frequent excuse of mine lately, but unfortunately that's the ways things have been going. I can only ask that you bear with me.
I have every intention to keep my games going and finish them.

Bill the Wizard |

As a heads up, I will be taking the Illinois Bar Exam on Tuesday and Wednesday and travelling to Chicago on Monday. I am aiming to still get posts up, but I cannot promise that it will happen.

Bill the Wizard |

It's been nearly 30 days since Tek's last post. What is everyone's thoughts on this? I think we still have a good ways to go and I'd like to see it to the end.

Zelkin Norwind |

Well, I'd hate to abandon the game but I know Tek has been busy IRL. I'm hoping we can continue somehow. Give him some more time.

Aiuda Drowbane |

I flipped through the book a while ago and estimated that we were about halfway through (I think we're about done with Part I and Parts II and III are about half the length of the first part). I would also really like to finish this game up (and much more quickly than the first half if possible). I said it in another game but it probably bears repeating here: we've all been holding on out of respect for Tektite because he has a good history and reputation but if it were any other GM this game probably would have been declared dead or abandoned a long time ago, as it has been glacial for the past few months. As much as I hate to say it, I think it's time we started looking for a replacement GM to finish up the second half of the adventure for us.

Dungeon Master S |

Hey guys, Just jumping in now on EF's message.
I'm 100% behind having respect for Tektite. I've met him in person, and I've played in plenty of his games. I don't want to step on his toes if he can jump back in.
I'm more than happy to finish the run. I haven't even looked at the player list yet, so I don't know if I have played with everyone here, but I can post quickly. VERY quickly. I teach at a STEM academy with a schedule that lets me check my games all the time. Once I'm up and running, I'll be able to post and wrap up this game.
I need about 24-48 hours to get my feet under me, but once I'm ready, I'll post and let you guys know.

Dungeon Master S |

So I've never inherited a thread before. I know there's a way to change GMs, but I don't know how to do it.

So I've never inherited a thread before. I know there's a way to change GMs, but I don't know how to do it.
Just email community@paizo.com with a link to your profile, a link to the gameplay thread, and a link to the discussion thread. They just did it for me recently and it took them less than 24 hours to process so they're pretty good about it.
And thanks again for coming on board and agreeing to help us out!

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Getting close to being ready. I've ready half the gameplay thread, and should finish over the weekend. Still waiting from Paizo to switch ownership.

Dungeon Master S |

The pleasure is mine! Besides, how can I say no to a character with my (real) last name?!

Dungeon Master S |

Bold Strider, Trexler (Halbarad) just finished recounting his near TPK at your hands in Echoes of the Everwar III. Good times!

A TPK? That doesn't sound like me.
Aiuda was in that one as well...

Dungeon Master S |

For when we do finally report this, can you guys give me your PFS numbers/factions?

Aiuda Drowbane |

For everyone's benefit: when we finish, we'll get three chronicle sheets:
level 11-13
level 12-14
level 13-15
Since we're playing campaign mode we unfortunately don't qualify for the bonus fourth chronicle sheet, which would be for level 14-16.
Btw, if you have a character who has played through Eyes of the Ten, these sheets could take them from 13.2 to 16.2 just in case you were in that situation.
---
I'll apply mine to:
Atum Nakhti
#55162-2
Scarab Sages
(currently playing in EotT)

Zelkin Norwind |

Btw, if you have a character who has played through Eyes of the Ten, these sheets could take them from 13.2 to 16.2 just in case you were in that situation.
Sounds like a plan, I'll do the same :
Faldoc Tisbane
79644-2
Liberty's Edge
(currently in the same EotT as Atum)

Sven Marsh |

As I said when joining the scenario, no chronicle for me.
I hope to play it with a true PFS character someday in a far future :)

Dungeon Master S |

I was hoping you had been tracking it as you went....

Dungeon Master S |

Bold Strider, will you be taking a chronicle for this? If so, what's your number/faction? I know we're a ways off, but I have a snow day today, so I have a chance to start piecing the basics together.

Bill the Wizard |

Sorry about that. I am travelling at the moment and fully expected to be able to post over the last few days, but my luggage with the laptop and phone chargers got lost. I'm back now, though!

I'm away for the weekend until pretty much Monday morning. I'll pick up then. If I'm a player, feel free to GMPC me. If I'm the GM, I'll be back ASAP!

Dungeon Master S |

Hey guys, I'm back and ready to go. That being said, This week is going to be insanely busy for me a few days.
Wednesday: Driving down to NYC to see Iron Maiden. I won't be checking the boards at ALL Wednesday until Thursday afternoon.
Weekend: Normally I'm pretty good about posting on the weekends, but I'm the chief referee for a tournament this weekend, and my tournament weekend begins right after school Friday, so I'll be off the boards Friday afternoon until Monday morning.

Aiuda Drowbane |

In celebration of this campaign kicking back into gear (and thanks again to DM S for doing a great job so far!), I'm give you guys the first chance at seats for 07-19 Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts if you want them. I'm guessing this won't be the kind of labyrinth full of puppets and rock stars but should still be a good time. Go ahead and post if you're interested. If we need to get a couple more players, I can ask elsewhere.
