Round 1:
WTF?: Atk
Whistle Pig: Hit, no damage.
Ushyle: Hit
Vael: Color Spray
Doxon: Hit
Hamilton: Go
Raen: Glitterdust
White: 17
Hamilton Renaud
Another question: Any special attacks besides light? I'm going to assume they can produce light and become invisible in it.
Dungeon Master S
You know that they can also mess with light to remove it too, perhaps even blinding foes. They're also tremendous fliers, they could turn this whole fight on its head if the whim strikes them...
Hamilton Renaud
Hamilton blanches a little bit.
Lurkers In Light. Da used to tell stories. They can turn the light against us--maybe blind us, make themselves invisible. They're born from ritual sacrifice. They're bad things, and they're impossible to understand. They'll seem crazy to us. I think they eat Dwarves.
Then Hamilton strikes out against the fey...
Longsword:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
And misses by a mile!
They're Fey. We'll need iron to do them any real harm. Or a... really brutal hit might do it.
Doxon Greyforge
2 people marked this as a favorite.
Then they shall bend like copper under my hammer!
Dungeon Master S
Hamilton can't connect, eliciting more laughter from the two. The lurkers in light, not liking you getting wise to their plan, begin to flutter. Only the glitterdust keeping them completely visible.
The injured fey tries to stab Vael. ATK: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 THREAT ATK: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 and gets him good! DMG: 2d3 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 2 = 5 and then it twists and flits away Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
The uninjured stabs at Hamilton! ATK: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 and draws blood!! DMG: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 + A FORT SAVE. and then it twists and flits away just as it's other half Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
Round 2:
Lurkers in Light: Atk
Whistle Pig: Go
Ushyle: Go
Vael: Go + FORT
Doxon: Go
Hamilton: Go + FORT
Raen: Go
White: 17
Doxon Greyforge
Doxon charges up the lane and swings hard for the little flier that escaped his reach.
Agrimmosh: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 6) + 5 = 13
Dungeon Master S
Hamilton feels his strength darken and ebb just a bit 1 STR DRAIN.
Whistle Pig hits again only a touch harder but Doxon's swing really strikes hard. The fey seems to have plenty of fight left though.
Round 2:
Lurkers in Light: Atk
Whistle Pig: Hit
Ushyle: Go
Vael: Go + FORT
Doxon: Hit
Hamilton: Go
Raen: Go
White: 26
Ushyle
Ushyle doesn't know what lurkersin lights are, but he knows they are clearly on the other side of the party. Ham's assurance that they're bad things is enough for the half-orc. He charges the one Doxon hit with his greataxe.
charge, greataxe: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 2 = 28
dmg: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Dungeon Master S
Ushyle closes. Though he connects, it's not a very telling blow. The other Lurker seems only mildly hurt.
Round 2:

Raen Varkath
Raen thumbs the spellbook strapped to her side nervously. She doesn't have much magic left to call on. Best to let someone else do the fighting for me.
Her eyes flash to a deep, bright blue, and the air around begins swirling as if by an invisible current... begin full-round cast.
Dungeon Master S
Vael shakes off the worst of the poison, though it's already done its damage. The shamanic spirits give Doxon a big advantage for a moment while Raen begins to call in reinforcements.

Whistle Pig: Hit
Ushyle: Hit
Vael: Shaman waza

Hamilton Renaud
Ham feels his sword arm go a little numb, but presses on... Recognizing that these Fae are the stuff of bad, waking dreams, and that he'll need a BIG hit to squish one... He gets ready for a big hit.
Hamilton activates the Half Plate From a Giant and doubles in size. He closes to attack range.
STR 17
CON 20
DEX 12
AC is still 22, but now with DR 5/Evil
Longsword is +7 with 2d6 Damage
New Poison Save?:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Dungeon Master S
the snickering from the fey sputters a bit as Hamilton grows in size. His hale body fights off any additional effects from the poison as he gets in close to the lurkers.
They immediately assume Hamilton is bad news. The severely injured one flitters backwards Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19 and then weaves a spell to shut down the ranger. Fort DC 16 or go blind!
The other stands it's ground for a moment, stabbing with its blade:
ATK v. Ushyle: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13, but misses. It then flits away, flying over the jungle below. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19

Fortitude Save:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Longsword:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Hamilton yelps and blinks rapidly, trying to clear his eyes. He does and wildly swings at the retreating fae.
Dungeon Master S
The spell fails to take hold of the rangers eyes, but so too does his swing fail to hit the Lurker.

Agrimmosh2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2) + 5 = 12
Dungeon Master S
Doxon's swing hit hard. The fey's resistance to the metal helps, but still the wounds begin to add up, and the creature seems a little less confident now. If only Doxon can score another hit like that.
Across the way another bullet hits its target, this time Whistle Pig put enough heat on it to harm the beastie.

Dungeon Master S
The whoosh of air appears, but it's slightly different than normal. Verdent leaves swirl in the winds, and the birds below change their sings to something more frantic, though happy.
While Raen's vial falls well short of the target, and far below a tarsier screeches in agony.
The storm, however, hits the fey hardenough to send it tumbling to the jungle below!
The remaining one goes straight at Raen, opting for a flyby stab of the dagger. Flyby: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 but misses!
