Castiel has continued to detect evil for the two rounds.
Now he takes a five foot step forward to M12 and attacks M11.
Castiel strikes hard with his sword, seeking to knock aside or slice open armour or visors, exposing the bone or necrotic flesh that he expects to find beneath.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Edit: crit confirm if relevant: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Edit 2: Oops ... I didn’t notice that George won init, just saw that the other ones got 11 ... hopefully this action will still be doable.

I go at 13 as well. BTW, can I swing the spear like a quarterstaff and do crushing damage, or do I take a -4 penalty to hit if I do that?
I will allow it ,without the -4, since a spear to me is a quarterstaff with a stabby thing attached to it.

Giraroj goes first......he pops down and moves up behind the zombies.
A blast, a cone of harsh color, smashes into Rholf and Castiel of Fangwood......
d.c. 15 will save, or nitey nite, gentlemen.....
(unconscious, blinded and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round).
Then, Castiel can do what he set out to do, if he saves.
(I was just joking about the tea service;.....it's not really there.....)

I think it's safe to say that Nigel would have summoned Azzulzu or some other aid during the two rounds of buffing, but I don't have time to look at his options to decide intelligently.
Larissa, seeing the cleric and the paladin crumple, screams, "What have you done to him?!" She moves into the room and kneels down to check to see if Rholf is still breathing. Castiel, too, if time allows for both checks. I won't bother with a roll since it wasn't that kind of spell and the check should be pretty simple.
"Wod, have you ever seen a live person with a broken neck like that continue talking? I have seen many of those -- and living gnomes don't remain living long when they are broken like that."

Rholf's square, most likely, kneeling to check pulse, etc., quarterstaff on the ground next to me. Not tactically a good choice, I realize, but it's what the character would do.

"Very nice." He murmurs, presumably in appreciation of the actual blow.
With Larissa in rholf's square, I can't take a 5' step! ;P So I will move two squares, stand over Castiel, and use whip at range to try disarm on undead in M11.
