And then with a sudden crackling sound like cold water being poured into hot oil, the green slime evaporates into a glowing green mist. Which writhes and twists together into a column, which leaps into the air to form a globe. Which suddenly coalesces into a solid form, revealing...
...Nimpy the halfling, somehow perched in midair, ten feet off the ground, as if sitting in a swing.
Nimpy smiles down at Captain Odenkirk. "Hello there again, you evil, murdering bastard," he says. "Miss me?"
Xenfal
Well F~%+ me sideways...
Spellcraft to see what just happenned 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Douglas Muir 406
One or more illusion spells -- probably two, and maybe three, depending on how high level Nimpy is. (You could *smell* that thing...) Possibly the Nimpy that's sitting in the air is an illusion too, though it's hard to be sure at this distance; he could be using Fly or Levitate, and a cantrip or something to give the cool glowing effect.
Judge Tohram Quasangi
So, who is up. Not sure exactly how the initiative order is at this point. Grumblejack should be enlarged from my Enlarge Person spell as of my next initiative.
Also, what weapon is Grumblejack using that he is only doing 1d12 damage? I thought he had a great axe or a great club, forget which? But as a size large, he should be doing 2d8(greatclub) or 3d6(greataxe) damage I think, before he becomes enlarged doing Huge damage which I think is 3d8 or 4d6.

Power Attack:1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 12 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 1 + 1 = 21
Power Attack:1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 12 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 1 + 1 = 16
Morsum
Morsum finally charges into the fray stopping 10' from the Captain where his long shadowy neck and with its bloody red teeth and eyes reaches out to bite the captain.
Charging.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 = 21 <-- please add if there are any flanking or other bonuses.
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 <-- pretty sure damage is 1.5xstr with a primary natural weapon, decrease to +4 if I am wrong
Trip(free action if attack hit): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Judge Tohram Quasangi
Seeing his servant arrive and watching Grumblejack grow to unnatural proportions, the Judge smiles and begins to cast another spell to increase the speed of his companions.
Complete casting Enlarge Person on Grumblejack (1 round casting time from last round).
Standard Action: Cast Haste on Edmin, Morsum, Jax and Grumblejack.
Jax Naismith
That's not quite going to do it, I think -- Sven attacks at +3, and he's no longer flanking. So, over to the rest of the init order.
As much as I hate to say it, while that does miss, it misses by less than 5 meaning he hits one of the mirror images..poof
Also, edmin since the Captain charged I don't think you could reach him to full attack but the second attack probably wouldn't have hit anyway..so..eh. Your poor pup is rolling like I do..but with half the hit bonus ouch!
Back to the top! Xenfal's turn and Round 4!
Xenfal, Jax, Ragnar the Dog, Dren, the Judge, the two sailors, Captain Odenkirk, Sir Edmin, Morsum, Zimu, Grumblejack
Nimpy! By Mitra, I'm glad to see you. Let's bring down this monster!
Jax will attack and then five foot step to cast Cat's Grace (spell combat, avoid attack of opportunity).
Attack 1: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 - 2 = 14 for 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Dren of the Dark Tapestry
Dren will move up and Cure Jax.
Powers of Midnight, heed my summons, remove the wounds of this creature, cast them into the void!
Cast cure moderate wounds 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 8) + 4 = 13
Xenfal
Xenfal charges the captain Della swinging in an arcing stab as she does a blue glow oozes out of Xen's pours and down to the point of the blade

Jax Naismith
Dren, the Judge and Ragnar all get to go before he does.
Nimpy, it is good to see you. I think your trick may just have saved my life, and you have my thanks for that.
Dren of the Dark Tapestry
Dren grins then scowls as the captains life energy slips away from him. Just to be sure he walks over and slits the captains throat.
Just to be sure...that is one less evil that will haunt this world!
Dren looks over to the judge to see if he signals the group.
Jax Naismith
Sven, was it? Surrender now and you don't need to die.
Is message up? If so..
Zimu, no reason to alert Nimpy. We can tie up sailor for later after the bard is taken.
Judge Tohram Quasangi
Where exactly is Nimby at this point. I need to know if he is easily hittable by multiple players, or if he is flying somewhere out of range.
Once again, sorry for the slow posting. I think that the move is almost over. The moving truck arrived today. Some stuff broken and some unable to be moved to the second floor, but everything is here and now a few days of unpacking and life should return to normal - with any luck posting should just about be back to normal.
Edmin Al'Roth
Edmin raises the sword and continues to pummels the captain with overhead strokes. Blood and gore slinging from the blade as he chops like a butcher at the down man."Die you motherless whore!"
Jax Naismith
Unless Xen manages to kill him or convince him to drop his weapon, Jax will attack Sven since he hasn't given up yet and is next in the initiative order (after Xenfal, unless you count initiative buffs as changing initiative in combat..then he'd be higher now after Cat's grace :D).
Well..if you won't surrender you can die like a man. At least you're loyal to your captain, as evil as he was.
Keep in mind folks that we still have Nimpy watching..don't go super evil yet!
Jax uses his last shocking grasp (Fatality!).
Shocking Grasp
1d20 + 10 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 32 for 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 and 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 4) = 18
Attack One
1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 29 for 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Hasted
1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 = 28 for 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Too bad he doesn't have Keen yet..all three of those would have crit!
Xenfal
I think he is dead. I will just hold off on Xen's attack
Watching Sven crumple Xen walks over to the captain and casts Detect Magic.
Well done Nimpy. Well done.
Cуровую зиму
I have four pages to read, CONGRATULATIONS on killing the bastard of a captain!
Xen, Cуровую cast Detect Magic on the captain twice before, DM said the captain had the same magical items he had before, plus the chain shirt is magical. The new greataxe doesn't show any magical aura but I guess we know what it is now.
Cуровую can help with identifying the items with Appraise and Spellcraft.
There should be at least two magical weapons in the captain's cabin that we will finally get to look at. Hopefully something useful for spellcaster's as well.
