Secretly, Kesso lets out a sigh of relief as Vyushi takes the deck. But she watches the dancer closely to see what effect the deck may have on her.

When Vyushi grabs the desk swerling green lights pass through her and around her. electrifying her and causing her to scream as the sprit bonds with her. " It is done......" Vyushi can hear the spirt in her head.

Will save DC 15: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Vyushi looks surprised as she then draws cards, and talks with a disembodied voice that is obviously not her.

" I'll now do the harrowing. Everyone gather around. "

@vyushi- as long as you have the cards. it works a little like a spirtaulist class. You can choose to summon the spirt that works as a phantom of Dedication. With the same number of Hd as the holder (I will be controling it if summoned.). however it is only once per day you can summon for one minute but it only takes a full round action to summon. if Amadune is not summoned you gain Skill focus on Diplomacy and Sense motive as well as Iron will Feat (Iron will dont not count during personallity conflicts). as it will assit you In addition the cards can force you to do something as a intellegent item with a personality confict. with a ego score of 15 + 1/2 hd.

He scowls slightly at something, then curiosity wins out and he joins the others for the harrowing.

Concerned, Kesso walks up and asks Vyushi. "Amadune, let her speak. Are you alright in there?"

Amadune ignores Kesso's Question and try as she might Vyushi is unable to speak, but is aware.

Turning towards Dom Amadune draws the vision Card. "This Card represents knowledge which is what you seek, it can take the form of madness or cryptic words. Often a brush with a crazy person is a catalist. "

Looking away from Dom Vyushi turns to Kesso,
"Hmmmmm, The Big Sky; means a Momentous and powerful change is about to happen, old shackles can be cast off and If misaligned new shackles may be placed. Proceed with caution lest you be bound."

Looking at Dervin next, " The Peacock stands for a passage of time. Its appearance signifies personal shift or change. Look towards paths that you might not have done before. "

Drawing and speaking to Nanta,
"The Queen Mother, It represents a need to become part of a society or the need bow to those that know more than you. This card means caution also when dealing with those believed to be more powerful than you .

Sending thoughts to Vyushi
The Juggler represents fate, if he keeps up his rhythm he will reach his goals if misaligned tragedy will occur to those he meddled with. Care for those close to you.

Finally he draws two final cards, "this represents the future"
"The sickness and uprising, very bad cards. The future is bleak and just underlines what a dangerous time we live in. grave danger, and revolution.

with that Amadune flees Vyushis body, and she is now back in control.

'Well, that seems pretty obvious.' Kesso thinks. 'And hopeful. It seems her brother will be freed if she is careful. If not...Well it sounds like they will capture and imprison me. Not good.'

"I think we need to watch the place for a while and get a sense for what we might face. Kesso says, mindful of Amadune's warning to be careful. "Also, if Vyushi can now do Amadune's trick of creating messages for people, might I suggest that we arrange for a 'message' to be found by whoever seems to be guarding the entrance of the Old Fishery, telling them to expect some mercenaries matching our description that are to be taken directly to Gaedren."

You also know from living near there the place is known for the children that live in the fishery, and there is a dangerous H-Orc named Giggles that is known for beating orphans and rumor has it that many have gone missing in the past. A man named Yargen runs the place, a alchemist by trade he sells drugs and alcohol. out of it.

After a moment's thought Kesso continues. "If its the Fishery I think it is, its run by an alchemist named Yargen, who makes money on the side selling drugs and alcohol. There is also an orphan gang that makes it their home. I ran across it while trying to find where Gaedren might be keeping my brother. They are kept in line by a half orc named Giggles."

Dom's skin turns a shade paler when Amadune gives him his Harrowing. Ha ha! Madness and cryptic words. Maybe you're your own catalyst. Ha!

The rest of the Harrowing and the fortunes of the others fade to a dim ringing in his ears. By the time he has reorganized his thoughts, he has pushed the possibilities of what the shade's words might mean far to the back of his mind and hears Kesso talking of a fishery.

"That makes sense. I traded for... with Gaedren near there." He censors himself mid-sentence. "If we see someone leave, or we know someone is heading there, I can make them think of me as a friend and tell me about the place. But, yes, learning 'bout it first makes sense."

No ranks in stealth (nor bluff) so if we're doing a stakeout, I may want to stay out of sight unless

Kesso makes a suggestion. "Let's take a look at the fishery now. It may be that the time to strike is in the wee hours of the night." She then adds. "I'd like to make a stop, first."
On the way to the Ole Fishery, Kesso buys a bag full of sweets. Whatever the price, she pays 10gp for it and asks for the change in silver coins. She then adds the silver coins to the bag.

"I'm good with it. I'd suggest check it from a good distance to gauge foot traffic at this time first, if there is some measure of walkers, we do a walk-by ourselves to pick our spot. Circle back and get into place.

If no foot traffic at all, we'll have to improvise getting into an unscouted spot to observe - doubles our risk because we may pick a spot from a distance that already has eyes in place."

Kesso starts to move out of the tunnels, exiting the way she came. On the way to the Ole Fishery, she stops and buys a bag of candy. Finding a relatively concealed corner that provides a line of sight to the fishery, she leans her naginata out of sight against the wall and starts to watch the building. "I think the kids are the weak point in their security." she muses. "Perhaps if we captured one in a way that provides him deniability, he would be willing to provide information on their setup for a price."

The party heads to the fishery at night, following along the streets. You can smell the salt sea air around your group as you head to the dock area. people are sparsely on the street, those that are out keep a wary eye on their belongings. the small fishery has doors in the front and the dock goes down both ends. you see a small boat tethered to the back. in front of the fishery you see a Merchant with a pull wagon selling "dock dumplings" for coppers. You hear in the distance several bells in the distance which is very unusual for this time of night.

Front entrance description.
The reek of brine and the stink of week-dead fish hang thickly in the air here. The old double doors in the side of this weathered building are tightly closed, with a drooping signpost hanging above. The sign it once displayed is long gone, leaving behind only a single short length of rusted chain.

Nanta's fingers fidget, clearly anticipating violence even now. "The old man is no fool. I'd expect he'll have someone maintaining order in the night. Possibly someone with good eyes for seeing in the night. A dwarf perhaps but there'll be someone keeping an eye on things."

Kesso agrees with Nanta. "I bet they have some sort of guard in the water also. It seems too obvious of an approach, not to protect against." At this point, she becomes distracted by the ringing of the bells. "That's strange." she wonders. "Anyone have any idea what would cause the bells to ring?"

@vyushi- I don't know if vyushi would try to stop him so I will continue to roll. until you let me know whether you will just always allow him to talk or to just continue like this, depending on your personality I don't know if you want to RP annoyance or if your character wouldn't care.

"I would like to check it out, however im linked to this body i cant drift far from it, Vyushi knows to call me if you have teh need, but i won't be able to stay long. "

The voice is strange coming from the small young girl in front of you.

Dom keeps mostly quiet during the group's planning as he has little to offer beyond what he's already said. He wasn't particularly good at lying nor hiding, so he immediately dismissed the notion of asking around buying some shiver. Though maybe it wouldn't be such a lie after all, hmm?

He gazes up at the rooftops, listening to the sound of the bells.

Dom nods in quiet acceptance of the decision to wait and finds a place to sit that is out of view. His stomach rumbles and the old, gnawing ache comes back but eventually fades as it always does. He listens to the bells to distract himself and says to one in particular, ”Some sort of announcement at the castle. They do that to summon the criers. Must be something important for such a ruckus I think.”

Someone runs down the street as you are discussing what to do about the Fishery yelling "The king is dead!!!, The Queen killed him. !!" following a little behind the running man you hear large groups of people heading down the street.

You see people starting to rise to the shouts. Opening windows and looking outside when suddenly you hear a explosion in the distance.

”The king is dead?” Dom repeats, in a tone that suggests only a passing interest. ”Well, that explains the bells.” Then the explosion. He flinches slightly at the sound, realizes he’s not in immediate threat, and adds, ”Maybe someone just killed the Queen? That’s too bad. All this noise will make sneaking in difficult.”

Kesso's face blanches with worry at the news. "I'm not so sure. This is bad news even if its not true. The city will be in chaos." She bites her lip. "Ok. Let's be ready to move if there is a distraction."

After a moment's thought, Kesso hands her naginata to Nanta. "Please do not lose it." she says. With that she walks down the street past the vendor, but suddenly turns and heads over to him. "Those look delicious." she says as she offers him some coin. She takes one of the fish cakes and begins to eat it near the cart. "So, what do you think is going on?" she asks, motioning towards the commotion in the streets.

Dervin half panics for a moment when she boldly walks out, then half admires the lady, Wow, impetuous one, that Kesso. Guess we go reactive. Wonder what her game is?

Dom watches Kesso walk out into the street and his brows arch in surprise. "Is that... Maybe I should just charm him? Oh, well... She's already talking to him." Realizing that if they do need to move it may happen quickly, the lad stands back up, his assembled weapons jangling and clanking like so many over-sized pieces of mismatched jewelry.

"Its none of my business mate." the merchant watches Kesso wairily as he hands over a cake. The merchant appears to be not into normal gossip.

Sense motive for Kesso: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

@kesso- the merchant is obviously wary of your presence in addition the whole time you are talking you see that he holds at least one hand under his cart while cooking with the other.

I didn't go any further until you decide what to do.

@nanta, dervin and Dom. while you are watching Kesso speak to the merchant. you hear Amandune speak up.

Darn It! Kesso thinks as she eats the cake. He probably has a thunderstone under there. noticing that he always kept one of his hands under the cart. She eats the cake slowly waiting for him to drop his guard. She continues to make small talk until she finishes the cake (she buys a second if necessary) afraid to just attack a wary opponent without some backup.

Nanta watches the man with his hand under the counter. He begins saying prayers to Abadar to ask for his guidance should the man produce a weapon.

To put it bluntly he's spamming guidance starting with himself and moving through the group... just in case.

Dom sees that Kesso is having less than complete success with the merchant so, with a shrug, he leaves the others in the alley and joins the crowd in the street. When he’s close enough, he focuses on the merchant’s mind and personality, willing him to become a friend. He does so without having to speak or make any arcane gestures but rather purely by force of will.

Dom looks at the man while he talks, then says, ”That’s okay. Most people don’t remember. It’s Dom. This is my friend, Kesso. A mad night if the king is really dead. Seems like there could be a riot. Why are you still out here and not packing up? Can I help you with anything?”
