Exactly.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Smh...you a bad bad man. Lol

Ravan, anything to add?

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Mr. Mark might need some time to respond. He's been busy and stuff.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

As she stuffs her face she glances up at Ravan, curious as to what she would do or say. It wouldn't look right if Eri shared a room with Ruedo because of the age difference she appeared to have with her disguise and being so much smaller now. She tries not to make a face when she drinks the milk, but she really didn't like it. If you're gonna lie, you should keep it simple....why did she always have to complicate things? She smiles silently to herself, because she liked tricking people. Even more, she loved the looks on their faces when she transformed to her true self. This was little more than a game to her and she was having fun with it, for now.

"I suppose I'll stay in Seth's room and Catríona can stay with you, Theodora," Bert says. "Is that alright with you?"

He looks at the sorceress with a slight grin.

Female Human Sorceress 4/Archmage 2; HP: 27/27; AC: 15, T: 12; FF: 11; Fort: +3, Reflex: +6, Will: 7, Init: +10, Perception: +0

"That would be perfectly fine Bert." Theodora replies with a smile.

"Or, you could have the third room to yourself, I understand your need for meditation. she says in a tone that carries a subtle underlying message.

Bluff to relay secret message: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Ruedo Or anyone who can make a DC 26 Sense motive check:
[/i]"I have a plan. Take the third room for yourself.[/i]

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

We didn't get the third room though. They only had two available for tonight.

Female Human Sorceress 4/Archmage 2; HP: 27/27; AC: 15, T: 12; FF: 11; Fort: +3, Reflex: +6, Will: 7, Init: +10, Perception: +0

Guess I missed that somehow. Never mind that part then

The third room will be available the next day, so your message is still valid.

"Alright, I'll be sure to let you know when the third is available tomorrow. Have a pleasant night." The woman turned and left to fill other orders.

As the night progresses, things wind down. The soldiers slowly leave in various stages of drunkenness as well as other patrons. Round about midnight you are the only ones left in the dining hall.

"I suppose we should turn in. Unless you think something interesting might happen," Ruedo says.

Female Human Sorceress 4/Archmage 2; HP: 27/27; AC: 15, T: 12; FF: 11; Fort: +3, Reflex: +6, Will: 7, Init: +10, Perception: +0

"That doesn't seem very likely does it?" Ravan asks with a yawn.

You get up to your rooms and see there are two beds per room. Not long after laying down, you all fall asleep.

Everyone roll perception please.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Nope...to busy dreaming about cookies.

Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Ravan sleeps the sleep of a woman with no regrets.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Lol

Cyrus:
You're awoken by the sound of someone sneaking by your room.

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

Cyrus eases his way to the door for a better look, cracking the door after the figure passes by.

Cyrus:
You see the Inn owner slinking down the hallway to the stairs down to the common room.

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

Cyrus utilizes his darkvision and stealth to follow, while keeping the inn keeper in earshot.

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

Another Stealth roll please.

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

How often do I need these? If it's alot then let's assume I take 10

Only once more at most I think will be sufficient. Depending on how this next roll goes.

Secret Squirrel:
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

While you lost sight of the Inn Keeper for but a moment, you quickly determine he headed down into the basement.

Last one. Roll again.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Oh man...I hope you roll good. What if he's a....bad guy? Or would our bad guys actually be good guys? Oh I know...maybe the Inn Keeper is actually a member of a secret organization that plots to overthrow the government? Nah...that's too silly. Lol

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Wait...wait...I've got it. He has a secret chocolate factory in the basement? Sorry...I'm really in some strange kind of mood.

If all goes in your favor, well........let's just say the Balentyne is in real trouble.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Sooooo....that's a no on the chocolate then? *smirk*

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

I really am in a weird mood...maybe I'm just craving some chocolate or something....I just...I don't think I should eat any right now though since the thought of it is making me feel ill.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

Cyrus changes his appearance with the magic of the pendant, covering himself with nonexistent robes, then glides down the stairs avoiding any chance of stepping on rickety wooden boards.

Taking 10 for 23 because rolling for failure is bad m'kay?

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Makes sense to me.

Secret Squirrel:
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Getting down into the basement, you see the Innkeeper looking at the wall as if trying to remember something. While sneaking behind some food stores, you step on a particularly creaky floor board.

The Innkeeper turned his head and called out, "Who's there?"

I'll leave it up to Cyrus whether he wants to hide or not.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

If it were me, I'd hide and watch. Then I'd go get the one that's better at dealing with interpersonal relationships. But that's just me. If we play it right, this man might end up being a useful inside tool.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

So....what is it to hide? Is it still considered stealth, or does that fall under something else like escape artist or something? I just wasn't sure since I didn't see "hide" as a skill.

Nope, still Stealth.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Ahhhh....I see.

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

Those tricky floating floor boards!

Cyrus sets himself down and returns to his original disguise. "It's just me." Seth answers.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

You were sleep walking! That always works...

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Wait...wait...no I got it, you got lost looking for cookies? Or maybe the bathroom? So much suspense....

"You're up rather late," The Innkeeper says.

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Uhoh.....tell him you were looking for some cookies and milk for the brat you're travelling with. Sorry....just trying to come up with reasons why you might be wondering around so late and being funny I guess. Sorry...sorry...I'll be quiet now. Hehe

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

"I'm a light sleeper, what about you? Cyrus asks.

Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Damn this guy's good.

"I came down here to do my nightly check for rats. I find it best not to do so when the main room is filled with patrons," He answered. "So why are you down here?"

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

Crap....

Monk Sense: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Female Skinwalker Barbarian 4/Champion 2; HP: 60/65; AC: 17/18 (in beast form), T: 13; FF: 14; Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +1, Init: +7, Perception: +7

It's a tie?! Sooooo....what happens now? Lol I'm sorry...this is just too funny to my tired ass brain.

♂ | HP: 45/45 | AC: 17 | Acr +7, Ath +2, Nat +3, Per +5, Ste +7, Sur +5|Saves: S2*, D7*, C2, I0, W2, Ch0 | Init +4 | PP: 15 | Spd: 35' | Insp: No | HD: 5/5 | Spell DC: 13 | Spells: (4/4) | Status: Madness (Lvl 2)

Defender usually wins I just need to think about it for a bit.

Think of the Bluff as the DC to tell if he was lying or not. He met the DC, so he knows the Innkeeper's lying.
