I may have to pull out of this. I got done with the mechanics of Akash, but after I was done I realized...this probably isn't going to be much fun. I'm not sure if I have enough time to wholly go back to the drawing board on this one.
Character concept is set, so maybe I can find some other class configuration that fits.

All right, I think I happened on a new idea.
Rather than a Zealot/Warpriest follower of Zon-Kuthon, he's going to be a (likely) Fighter/Harbringer follower of Moloch.
So, some minor character changes (less of a sado-masochist, more of a taskmaster sort. With a focus on pain, still, but for a PURPOSE, in addition to personal enjoyment).
Moloch worship is, of course, no different than worship of Asmodeus in the eyes of Mitra, and so he is still a Heretic.

So, Akash Gro'Malug, Tiefling (born Half-Orc) Fighter/Harbinger (Crimson Count) of Moloch.
Blood. Determiner of familial ties, love, and your station in life.
And, of course, life.
To the enlightened, blood is everything. Control of blood is control of life. Control of life is control of the universe.
Akash knows this. He has always known this.
From a young age his wisdom was evident. He learned, growing up on the streets, abandoned by his mother for being forced upon her, that the only thing standing between him and anything he wanted was blood.
Another kid in your way? Bloody their nose, they'll learn. And animal growls at you? Bite it, show your dominance.
A shopkeeper foolishly protecting his wares? A swift knife in the back removes an obstacle...
As Akash grew, so did his lust for blood. For blood was power. And power was everything.
That was when he found Moloch. Moloch understood him more than the false god Mitra ever did. Moloch understood the lust for power, and the lust for blood, and fed it. And Akash was his, just like that. Where was Mitra when he was starving? Freezing? Alone, fighting for scraps?
Nowhere to be found. But Moloch...Moloch gave Akash everything he desired.
Not for free, of course. Moloch asked for blood. Akash was happy to return the favor.
Over the course of 7 days, Akash found 7 likely victims. Their families and the guards searched frantically for them, but found them too late.
In the cellar of his hideaway they found Akash. And 7 exsanguinated victims, flesh discarded, and blood formed into 6 pentagrams, lining the walls, floor, and ceiling of the room. The seventh victim's blood covered Akash, seated in the center of the floor.
When the guards found him, he'd already been transformed, twisted by Moloch's dark power into an infernal blooded creature, half-blood no more.
Akash gleefully fought the guards sent to capture him, reveling in his newfound power, spilling blood and turning it against the rest, but soon he was brought down, exhaustion catching up with him and slowing his reflexes.
For the heinous crimes of kidnapping, heresy, and Mass Murder, Akash was thrown into Branderscar prison, to await his execution...
Appearance: Akash appears as a humanoid with blood-red skin, fingernails always seeming caked with gore despite being clean. His eyes glow with red light, cutting through any darkness and peering into souls. He retains the tusks and general physical feature of his time as a half-orc.

The cutoff date is 5 days, since most already have characters ready. These days are just for those with questions and those who are new to the thread. This is for your CONCEPT. If for whatever reason, I want your character in but it is not finished, I will let you finish it after I make selections.
While I know Lightbearer said she was going to post again, I'm not really sure she actually needs to.
She posted the above on the the 4th. I haven't seen many actual questions that she needs to come and answer.
Am I wrong? Are there still pressing concerns and questions you need her to answer before you can submit your PC?
Note, she did say that if chosen but you are not finished, you'll have time to finish up after selections.
Thus, I see no reason to fret that Lightbearer hasn't posted, because while she said she would, maybe she checked the boards, so there was nothing to respond to, and opted to not reply.
Again, if I'm missing something she needs to reply to, re-post, and make it sure its seen.

Thus, I see no reason to fret that Lightbearer hasn't posted...
I wasn't fretting, just entertaining the possibility that RL was beating Lightbearer up again. I'm not basing this off the inactivity here, but the inactivity in our correspondence in our private messages. Regardless, hope all is well with Lightbearer!

Then it would be true: The only reason the sun comes up is because Morgan Freeman narrated it. =)

Wicked little Bobbity, my intention was to wait a week from the day I posted. We still have three to go. I was inclined to start sooner, but I was informed yesterday that someone managed to contact a personal, local friend of Lightbearer, so I would like to wait to give her time to reply.
It is quite possible that I will run two groups of five, though I will be looking for a co-GM if I do this.

It has been a week since Lightbearer's last post. I will begin to assemble groups. Since most of you are powerful and notorious, Branderscar will be modified to accommodate you. This means I will need a few days to get the actual games going so that I can tailor the prison to each party.
I wish each of you that applied could accompany me. This was, without reservations, an incredibly difficult decision to make. All of the submissions were impressive and I felt no matter what I did, I'd be leaving gods (or goddesses) of the gaming table behind. I was tempted to make two parties of six, but considering we are already level 10, I believe five is pushing it. I will attempt to contact each of those listed below over the weekend to confirm that they still want to participate, so there may be changes to the roster.
I have not decided on the composition of each group. If you have a preference to be grouped with someone else, please let me know in a PM.
Karactus, The Dream Stalker
Veldrin d'Shraen
Bobbity
Squeeze Bits
Bognus "Bluebeard" Dolgrin
Nuandis Nevralis
Ulmah Corpsil
Raskh
Sethirom
Kessa 'Kestrel' Trelain

Just a reassurance to those I named that this is still happening. I'm almost done with the paperwork. You'll have to work with me a little in branderscar, as 'mechanically' with RAW it would be very difficult to 'imprison' these characters in the provided outline of what Branderscar is. In other words, I may have to tweak the rules a little here and there for the prison: like applying a permanency to an antimagic field on an item or location, or some kind of bolted on mask that will prevent you from using certain abilities.
In cases where I do this, I will at the very least provide PCs with an appropriate knowledge check to understand what is happening. It will not be commonplace that I do this, but in order to get the campaigns launched in a timely manner, I will need to for Branderscar.
