Skipper Daytripper

"Oh, now that's handy!" Skipper says of the scroll they find. "Perhaps we should hold onto it in case we find more of that writing-- the enchantment is limited in duration."
He nods at Torgil's words. "Back to the other passage it is. Gosh, I feel like a real Pathfinder and everything now-- excavating ancient ruins and crypts, fighting the undead... exciting!"

You are currently in the small room in the middle on the left most section of the map. You may head north or you can work some of the other rooms. I just wanted to get a better idea before I posted the next action.
Moving into the passage to the northeast you come to a crossroads of stairs has one dominant feature: a crumbled statue in the southeast corner, once the image of a proud warrior chiseled roughly in granite. The statue’s helmeted head now rests on the floor, its lifeless stone eyes gazing toward the south. On the helmet, a single Kelish word is carved in the stone. The wide stairway to the north leads to a passage that ends in a cave-in ten feet past the foot of the stairs.

I say we keep going north if there is mroe exploring we can do there. Skipper will wait to use the Comprehend Languages scroll until they either find more Kelish writing or until they double back going the other way-- since it only has a ten minute duration, most likely, he wants to try and make sure he can translate as much as possible using it.

Heading north you step into a rather large rectangular room, measuring about 25' by 20'. There is another collapsed tunnel to the north and a door on the SE wall. THis room would appear to be a storeroom of useless crap. Things are either rusted or rotten. You may search to see if anything is useful in the room if you wish.
Skipper Daytripper
|
Seems like the door to the SE is unexplored yet, if I am understanding the room we are in correctly. Skipper will give it a perception check and if he sees/senses nothing dangerous, he opens it.

This large room was once two, but the wall between them has been partially torn down, and the broken door now serves as a makeshift altar. The candles and strange statues that decorate it all face the dark alcove
beyond the broken wall.
A group of four kobolds great you with spear and club.

A flash of vibrant color spring forth from Johendar's finger tips causing one of the kobolds to drop to the ground, unconscious. Meanwhile, Torgil raises his axe and brings it crashing down on the skull of one of the kobolds. It falls, lying in a thick pool of crimson, unmoving.
Kobold 1 (Unconscious but unharmed)
Kobold 2 attacks Torgil 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Kobold 3 attacks Torgil 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Kobold 4 (Bleeding Out)
The two kobolds that remain standing move to engage Torgil, but there efforts are crippled by the sight of the Ulfen prowress with an axe.
Pathfinder you're up.
Torgil Ragnarsson
|
Deflecting the feeble blows of the kobolds easily, Torgil bellows out: "That's right! It's your friend down there with his skull split. Who's next?!"
In case I am out of sync with the rest when my turn comes up, Torgil will engage the nearest Kobold still standing and attack.
Attack, Damage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Seeing two of the kobolds easily felled, Skipper will back off out of melee range. He will hold off on buffs for the moment and ready to channel, excluding as many wounded kobolds as he can (two), on a trigger of 'if a party member is hit'. (He himself still has some light damage from entering the caves, and I think someone else did too.)
Channel #2 of the day, only if triggered by party injury: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Kazuo Kuroba
|
Seemingly dumbstruck by the presence of the reptilian humanoids, Kazuo is finally spurred to action by Torgil's bravado.
Kazuo draws his other wakizashi while moving up to strike with the first.

Torgil makes another attacks but his axe misses his mark, making a large clang against the cold stone floor.
Skipper heals the party.
Kazuo draws a sword, and moves to strike barely missing the creature.
Everyone else, I am saying you are delaying till after the kobolds.
Kobold 1 (Unconscious but unharmed)
Kobold 2 attacks Torgil 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Kobold 3 attacks Kazuo 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Kobold 4 (Bleeding Out)

Sorry, clarifying here: did someone in the party take damage to trigger my readied action? It doesn't look to me like any of those kobold attacks hit, but you said that Skipper heals.
Sorry if I'm being nitpicky, heals are just my primary resource as a cleric, so I want to make sure I'm marking them off appropriately.
Skipper Daytripper

no, sorry, my post was eaten a couple times and I was attempting to paraphrase and forgot to include that part.
No problem! Was just checking.
Kazuo Kuroba

Bringing both blades to bear, Kazuo slashes with the right followed by a thrust from the left.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 191d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Torgil brings down his act in a dramatic fashion connecting solidly with the stone floor. There might be a chip in his axe.
Kazuo slashes at the the kobolds bringing the two creatures down in a flourish of steel.
Azizi beats the last, with a stick. Making sure he doesn't wake.
That's the end of combat.

"Phew!" says Skipper, peering around blinking. "Wasn't expecting a load of them."
He nudges one with a toe, shrugs to himself not terribly bothered by the fates of those who would interrupt his own Journey-- now they are on the road to Pharasma, and she can judge them.
He looks around the room, casting Light if necessary to see.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
"Nobody's hurt, right..?"
Skipper Daytripper
|
Skipper will use the Comprehend Languages scroll for this one.
"...Fire," he reads aloud, and looks quizzical. He promptly glances around for any signs of such.
"I don't see any signs of fire."
Skipper Daytripper
|
Fair enough.
It sounds like we have hit a dead end if I'm tracking where we are on the map correctly? If so, we turn around and go back to the unexplored chambers.
Skipper Daytripper
|
"Webs," Skipper says with an expression of infinite distaste. "Where there's smoke, there's fire, and where there's webs... there tends to be spiders. Iiicck."
Perception vs Spiders?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
He makes no move to step into the room yet, though he might transfer his light cantrip to one of his arrows and chuck it by hand into the room.
Kazuo Kuroba
|
Kazuo will also peer into the room assisting with his low light vision.
"Indeed, pay attention above and below. If one gets inside your clothes the venom may get you before we can even remove your gear."
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Johendar Celestrum

Johender readies his crossbow to fire at the spider when it moves.
