Dwalindor smiles Amanda is really good at marring stuff if you ask her nicely. he pats his earth breaker.
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Heh, or bring the damn roof down on us.”
The rogue brings out his tools and his Adamantine Kindjal.
”Lets just cross a few of those glyphs out and cross the key lines . . . “

Tariq crouches in the sand coating the floor of the tunnel and begins chiseling away at the heiroglyphs. The long, cryptic phrases promise death against all those who dare to disturb the faithful guard of the Sky Pharaoh's eternal rest.
As he chips away, he alters the careful phrases to a more friendly exhortation - the falcon becomes a dove, a priest's accusatory pointing hand becomes a welcoming wave.
The fumes receed from the tunnel slowly as air begins to circulate through and you find yourself smelling the stale air from inside the tomb - the smell of ancient papyrus and foul magic fills your nostrils.

Hey, man. I think you are...um...doing something. Keep at it.
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Well, that looks good. Let’s see if there are any other traps then move forward.”

”Wow, if you are right Noonan, that would have been a nasty ass suprise.”
”Lets see if I can turn this one off too.”
Tariq sets about his work using the tools of the trade.

”What? Why are you guys looking at me like that for?”
Ba'set
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Ba’set scents the air and shakes her head in a giant sneeze from the dust and lingering mist.

Dwalindor wonders when lunch will be ready.

Deep within the tomb you hear the plodding sound of stone footsteps prowling through the area deeper within.
After Tariq disarms the trap you find yourselves opening a door into the tomb itself: each wall of this hall is adorned by a bas-relief showing blindfolded, animal-headed men and women carrying offerings of tribute. The floor slopes downward slightly to the south.
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Blind folds! Are Medusa’s real?”
”Quick, what were the little statues again?”
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Oh man, this might be the elemental. Sounds heavy like a pile of rocks.”
<<<sigh>>>
”Okay. I will try to sneak ahead and see what it is.”
Stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33
Going as light footed as he can, Tariq uses his magical lenses to help him seek out danger.

”Good luck! Holler if you need us and we’ll come runnin! “

Tariq walks further into the room looking for information but doesn't detect anything that would tell him if a medusa is present in the tomb.
As he walks further in a voice bellows out throughout the chamber in Anicent Osiriani: "You are not worthy to gaze upon the magnificent works of the Sky Pharaoh!"
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Oh Great One. I am here to gaze upon you. I understand you have remained here loyal for many thousands of years. I have often wondered if that is out of pure loyalty or the strength of what binds you to this place and now I can ask you myself.”
Tariq says, trying to see who or what is speaking and if there is any place he can hide.
Dwalindor the Pahmet

”Yeah...um right. “ Dwalindor turns away and rolls his eyes at the not worthy comment

Dwalindor grows impatient and starts looking around the area, spiraling outward from where Tariq was starting.

Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Hummmm, well, I guess we will have to see about that.”
Are there any doors out? Is the room featureless?
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
”Noonan, do we have a way to see invisibility? Or something small you or Shad can summon that can? I wonder if something in here is invisible?”
Dwalindor the Pahmet
|
I can usually smell invisible things - like if they have a smell.
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
Tariq closes his eyes and focuses on the pyramid of the Sky Pharaoh in his minds eye. Maybe the blackness is the night sky?
What the actual hell am I doing!?

Dwalindor will check for tracks or worn stone which might indicate a direction traveled by others before us.
survival: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21

”Noonan, you see any magical effects?”
”It might just be an old Magic Mouth spell.”
Tariq moves to check the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32
Tariq Ibn-Ziyad
Walking up to about 10 feet from it. Checking for pressure plates or another trigger since this is the only obvious draw in the room, which makes it a perfect focal point for a trap!
As he moves he thinks of the types of undead this could be.

Just Tariq or all of us?
