You all notice a ramshackle looking campsite when it is about 100 yards away. It looks as though it has been used and abandoned a number of times, with makeshift structures and signs that they have fallen into disrepair and then been hastily rebuilt a number of times.
Hafdan notices that there is movement at the edges of one of the lean-to's.
Lucius Cassius
"That looks usable for a camp site. As soon as we fix it up a bit, of course. It isn't pretty, but it'll do." Lucius says as he heads towards the campsite.
Lucrezia Villanova
Lucrezia looks off in the direction Hafdan is and draws her shortbow. If it's trying not to be seen that indicates an intelligence that a zombie would lack. Perhaps it is one of the looters or survivors that the guards mentioned? I think I have an idea... Lucrezia will cast light upon an arrow and will then shoot it off in the direction of the movement in the hopes of illuminating the figure. She is NOT shooting to hit the figure.
Lucius Cassius
Lucius also stops his advance when he sees the wolf."Well, if it is a threat around here, we may have to drive it off at the least. I don't think we can leave it alone to terrorize the survivors. I would definitely sleep better knowing that there wasn't a large beast like this lurking about." He dismounts and draws his bow.
Lucrezia Villanova
Knowledge Nature 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Knowledge check to see if that is actually a natural animal or not because that is really big for a wolf.
Lucrezia Villanova
I'm going to agree with Lucius on this one. I'd also rather not worry about that thing coming upon our camp while we are sleeping. A drooling dire wolf is not on my list of things I want to first see upon awakening. Lucrezia will also dismount and prepare to shoot another arrow as soon as she finds a target.
Lucius Cassius
"Am I on that list?" Lucius playfully asks. "In any case we should take it out before it has a chance to attack us."
Lucrezia Villanova
Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Holding her bow at the ready, Lucrezia will advance 15 feet towards where she last saw the thing.
Lucrezia Villanova
Bealzius, can you send your dancing lights over to where the wolf went and see if you can flush it out?
Lucius Cassius
Forgot to post my actions on my turn.
Lucius will delay until he sees a target. When he comes out of delay, he will knock and fire 2 arrows at his target.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
1d8 ⇒ 5
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
1d8 ⇒ 2
Nevermind. I'm a horrible archer.
Lucrezia Villanova
Lucrezia will also delay until the beast is within range and fire and arrow at it.
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Confirm 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Damage 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2) = 7
Glances over at Lucius. I hope I'm not making you nervous.
Lucius Cassius
Lucrezia will also delay until the beast is within range and fire and arrow at it.
Attack 1d20+2
Confirm 1d20+2
Damage 3d6Glances over at Lucius. I hope I'm not making you nervous.
"I'm just distracted by your beauty. I would ask you to stop it, but that would deprive the world and I can't be that selfish." He replies with a grin.

Round 1
The wolf moves up 250 feet, leaving it 50 feet away. Despite the distance from the creature, and its speed, Lucrezia is still able to wound it and it simply seems angrier as it continues to close the distance.
Round 2
Waiting on the others for round 2 actions prior to posting the wolf's. Note, due to the readying and delays, Lucrezia and Lucius are currently acting right after the wolf.
Lucrezia Villanova
Round 2 Action AC:15, Hp: 8, Initiative: After the wolf
Lucrezia does not get a chance to respond to Lucius last comment as the wolf charges upon them.
If she is not the target, Lucrezia will attempt another shot:
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
confirm 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
damage 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) = 8
If she is the target of the wolf, she will drop her bow and draw her rapier. If she has enough movement left to attack, she will:
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hafdan Jelspar
Round 2: Hafdan will circle the wolf, striking out from behind it with his sword.
Because my initiative is after the wolf's, I'm assuming that it moves into melee range on round 2, which would then allow me a move action to get into flanking followed by a standard action to attack it. If I don't have enough room to do this, assume I double move to get flanking for Round 3.
Shortsword attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 (13 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 (+ sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 2
Lucius Cassius
Trying this again.
Lucius, still determined fires another volley of arrows at the beast.
Rapid Shot
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 I think I hit once!
1d8 ⇒ 8 damage
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
1d8 ⇒ 1 damage

Round 2
Bealzius strikes to wolf as it closes and moves to attack Marc, not wanting to try to run past him.
Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Lucrezia strikes it with another arrow, followed by one from Lucius. Hafdan misses, but Marc is able to finish off the badly wounded creature with a strike from his longsword.
Everyone can take another 200 XP for this fight.
Lucrezia Villanova
Moves over to look at the wolf. Hopefully this was a solitary wolf. I'd rather not deal with a whole pack of dire wolfs even though we were able to put this one down quickly enough. Looking over to Lucius, Glad you were able to tear yourself away from my beauty long enough to land an arrow in the creature. Now shall we go and check out the campsite? We have been traveling for quite some time and I'm sure we could all use the rest.
Lucrezia will grab the reins to her horse and walk the remaining distance to the camp site. Once there she'll look for a firepit, most likely to be found in the center of the camp and start up a fire. I would guess that she can find enough tinder and bits of scrap wood laying around to at least get one started even if someone will have to go and fetch enough to keep it going the rest of the night.
Once that is done, she will assist the others in checking out the rest of the campsite unless they are already finished doing so. Then she will find a spot to place her bedroll and asks, Shall we set up a watch order for tonight? I'll volunteer for first and I know that Bealzius and Kendall will need last, so I guess Marc and Hafdan for second watch and Lucius with me?
Lucius Cassius
"It was my greatest trial to date, I assure you. Yes, let us make camp for the night. It has been a long day." Lucius replies as he checks his arrows followed by his bow to check for defective parts. He will go fetch firewood if it is needed.
When Lucrezia suggests the watch order, the archer tries hide it, but a slight smile slips out. "I would be honored to be on watch with you." He says as he sets his things down and sits by the campfire.
Lucius Cassius
Perception check to look around the campsite.
Taking 20
20 + 1 = 21
Perception Check for keeping watch
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 What ambush? I don't see an ambush.
Lucrezia Villanova
Perception check for the watch 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Lucrezia will just be checking around the area where she is starting the fire and where sets up her bedroll. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Marc Baradin
Marc chuckles and nods good-naturedly as Bealzius rolls his eyes. He shrugs and goes about the business of making the camp usable.
Perception check to search the camp: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Perception check on watch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
As usual, Marc sleeps easily during his downtime and wears his armor.
