"I agree there is nothing better than coney. Wine braised or in a stew... we should get some rabbits as well..."
Devlin Sorrow
You can't be serious, your thoughts turn to a squirrelly meal, for shame, for shame... Its not moments later that Devlin breaks out in laughter.
Now rabbit, there's a meal for the road.

Squirrel, rabbit, orc it makes no difference. Meat is meat and skin is skin. All we need is nourishment so that we are able to keep the flame going. I once ate wolf flank raw just to survive a winter. I think that we will make due with you trappers can find.
Devlin Sorrow
I do believe he did say orc, he looks over at Emil. Have you gone feral there man? I think I'm a little worried about my own flanks now . A smile appears on Devlins face, but it not hard to see the worry behind it.

Not ferral Devlin, just practical. I trust in Gorum's might, not the sensitive stomachs of lot. But now, my god tells me that it is time to slay the creatures that stalk us in the night.
Emil draws his great sword and readies his shield for whatever is about to come out of the woods.

Fool carefully puts the stew next to the fire so it won't scorch while they are interrupted, but will still stay warm.

"My biscuits better not burn, these wolves have some nerve."
Misfortune on the farthest back wolf within thirty feet. Dc 14 will save. Failure equals roll twice and take lowest for 1 round. Followed by cackle to make it two rounds. Sorry responding from hockey game.
Viorec Gry
Viorec eyes Emil warily, then shifts his focus to the wolves. "Enough talk of eating others. Those creatures mean to make a meal of us, I think."
He starts chanting, low at first, but with increasing volume. "Kupanua mtu, kupanua mtu, kupanua mtu...". With each repetition, he clasps his hands together momentarily, then pulls them apart, wider and wider.
This will be Enlarge Person. It will come into effect at the start of my next turn.

I can see the map now, readied action to get the 3rd one who comes within 30'
Jormel Vallin
Lifting the bow he's rested beside him, Jormel spun and aimed an arrow at the nearest wolf. He steadied his hands, then released.
"Guess Emil won't have to eat us after all!"

While Fool becomes upset about the interruption the others stand ready to guard the epicurean delights or outright attack the onlookers!
Viorec begins screaming a chant and his body begins to grow! In a polite way of speaking of course.
Jormel decides to hunt squirrels and Eve prepares her next attack, Fool wiggles his fingers at Wolf #1
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 who shakes its head in a confused manner.
Wolf one rushes in and tries to bite Eve (creating an AOO):
Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
and misses! Your AOO and readied action please. You can thank Fool for that lower roll.....
Wolf 2 rushes Jormel as fast as it can (AOO)!
Wolf 3 yelps as it Devlin removes a pound of flesh! It tries to bite Devlin but is thwarted by the humans deft maneuvers.
Wolf 4 a large part of its flank removed by the devout inquisitor yet returns with a starvation fueled bite and then succeeds in tripping!
Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Trip: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Eve and Jormel are up for AOO's and Eve's readied action then proceed with initiative order, Adventurers followed by Wolves.

Making subtle arcane gestures at the wolves, he furrows his brow in concentration occasionally barking a sharp, "Ha!"
Seeing the ear flop, he resists the urge to replace the lid on the iron pan, but he shifts his body between the attackers and his dinner.
Fool appears to be mouthing something, but in the heat of combat it is difficult to tell what it might be.

Fool considers the starving wolves; Maybe it wasn't the best plan to cook squirrel in the open like this. Would cooking a predator like a wolf just bring bigger predators? He makes a mnemonic to ask the outdoorsy types later.

I'm assuming that wolf one is dead (since he apparently exploded). If he's not... well, I wouldn't be enlarging Eve or moving as indicated below.
With a final shout, Viorec throws his hands toward Eve. In the blink of an eye, she suddenly looms 13' tall and several times her former weight. Eve, you have 10' natural reach, +2 strength, -2 dex, -1 AC and -1 attack. Your weapons are large, so your nodachi does 2d8 damage. Sick. It lasts a minute.
"Good thing that won't last long, or she'd eat more than all the rest of us together."
Grinning, Viorec casts mage armour on himself (bringing his AC up to 15) and moves past the fallen wolf.
Jormel Vallin
I've got a bow in hand, so I don't think I can take advantage of that lovely AoO.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Eve double in height.
"I'm sure Emil would offer himself as a snack, if it came to it!"
Tossing his longbow aside - opposite the fire, of course - Jormel takes a step backward and draws his blade from his belt. He ducked sideways, the slashed towards the wolf's snapping jaws.

By the Gods, have your bigger, Looking around a bit confused. How did that happen? Did I miss something. Oh lord the wolves are still standing, we must rectify the situation. With a thrust he aims for the creatures heart, with a natural grace it dodges the blow, making Devlin grunt with disappointment.

A much larger female elf joins the battle startling everyone! Then all realize it's just Eve being her 'humble elf self' albeit a bit more profoundly.
She moves to the closest wolf (#2) and swings her huge blade down upon its flank giving much damage. A pained "yelp!" is heard throughout the forest.
Jormel gives the gentle forest animals a brief respite...
Fool wiggles his fingers and shoots inane remarks towards the hungry wolves. Solid humor there bro, you've earned a GM 'token'.
The offensively defensive Viorec makes himself crusty hard.
Devlin and Emil team up to take two wolves on at once! The previously tripped Emil stands and wolf 4 lunges to bite his fleshy rump, narrowly missing.
Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Emil crushes down upon wolf 3 while Devlin swings his mighty blade! A forest audience of forest critters cheers as the wolf dodges out of its deadly path.

Begging your pardon.| Jormel Vallin |
Feeling a little outclassed by the hulking woman beside him, Jormal skirted around behind the wolf, trying to sink his blade into its flank as he did so. He joined in Eve's amusement, blurting out a chuckle as he swung.
