Pirknok Stonemight
Looking around at the others to be sure they're ready to go, Pirknok nods and leads the way to the stairs. "If wer dun here, then we kin go."
Homeward!
DM Feral
As the party makes it up to first floor with perhaps more questions than answers, that familiar sense of dread seems to follow them. The walls of the floor are somehow more yellowed and peeling than when the party first entered and a familiar mold seems to have crawled up their surface. Pirknok and Ventus both have a hard time shaking a subtle need for one more slimy bite.
DM Feral
A deep moaning voice calls out from the mold-covered walls.
Nnnnoooooo....
Nnnoooo.... Escape....
A hideous mound of dark spongy fungus pulls itself from the ground blocking the exit.
SSsstaayyyyy....

Jess and Eli are up.
Jessamy Pierce
"Ysme's right. This house is evil. Even the mold is trying to kill us!"
She whips a couple daggers at the thing, hoping they'll have some effect.
Not sure if it's an ooze or a plant, so leaving sneak attack damage in...
Dagger: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Sneak attack: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4) = 10

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Eli Blakewater
As the party is leaving the room below the house, he says, "This Sihedron is related to the Thassilonian Runelords. The ritual is somehow tied to the Runelords, perhaps trying to direct power to them in some way. Maybe this Brotherhood is a Runelord cult?"
Outside...
Have I used up my bombs trying to destroy the fungus down below? Assuming not... Bomb!
Eli steps back and primes a bomb. "By Desna!" he exclaims before throwing it at the monster.
1d20 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 14 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) + 5 = 13
DM Feral
Eli used a bomb to blow up the fungus in the dungeon. I don't know how many you've used in total. I haven't been keeping track.
Eli's bomb sails over the statue and collides with the fungal monster with a wet 'pop'. It seems to little damage but does burn up some of the spores growing along its surface.
With ease it slithers forward over the statue and swings a tendril at Eli.
Slam: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 3) + 5 = 13
The party is up. Climbing over the statue is difficult terrain.
Pirknok Stonemight
HP: 45/73, rage round 1 (12/17 daily)
Pirknok steps forward and growls in anger. "Quit... yer... nasty... magics!"
Focusing on destroying the mold before it can hurt anyone, he swings his sword in a powerful blow. Step to I16.
Attack (PA): 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 12 - 2 = 19
Damage (burst of prowess): 1d8 + 16 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 16 + 5 = 23
Jessamy Pierce
Circling away from it, Jessamy pulls her bow and lets loose a shaft.
Move to H-11
Composite shortbow: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
I'm taking -4 for firing into melee, though I don't know if it might be big enough to not need the modifier.
Eli Blakewater
Has it been more than 50 minutes since we started the fight with Ada? If it has, add 2 more to my attack rolls as my Mutagen is still active.
Eli staggers back from the thing's attack, just out of its reach, and throws another of his dwindling supply of bombs.
Bomb, Precise Bomb 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 28
Crit Threat 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 9
3d6 + 5 ⇒ (1, 3, 4) + 5 = 13
Crit damage 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 2, 3) + 5 = 16
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
I doubt very much it has been more than 30 minutes or so since our fight, no one 'took 20' in search checks after all.
"See if you can't get around it on the other side!" Ysme cries as she runs towards the fungal mass.
Move to I16.
Claw attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21, Claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Slashing
Betheda
Following Ysme's directive, Betheda lopes around the opposite wall to snap at the offal mound.
Move to F16
Bite attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 = 19, Bite damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Slashing
Can this thing be tripped? Just in case...
Trip chance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23, I weep...
DM Feral
Yeah, your mutagen is still up.
Pirknok lands a solid blow that makes the mass shudder in pain but Jess's arrow just seems to sink in with no effect. Eli's bomb has similar results to last time. Ysme and Betheda both connect tearing chunk of fungus free from the creature.
Ventus is up. Jess, you're going to need an acrobatics check to get to there without an AoO.
Adventus Artemidorus
Current HP: 28/40, effects: Con 2 Damage (10), Int 2 Drain (8), Cha 2 Drain 3 (5) Damage, Wis 4 Damage (7), AC: 24
Going into full-defense and moving to H13
Ventus tries to look for an opening but eventually settles for trying to get around the blob of mold.
DM Feral
The fungus monster slams down with its slimy tendrils on the offending humanoids.

Pirknok Stonemight
HP: 30/73, rage round 2 (13/17 daily)
"OUCH!!" yells the dwarf as he's struck full across the face. He retaliates a moment later with a powerful attack of his own.
Attack (PA, flank): 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 12 - 2 + 2 = 25
Damage (burst of prowess): 1d8 + 16 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 16 + 5 = 29
Consumes one extra round of rage.
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
At least the AoO missed...
Which is a good thing too. Otherwise she'd effectively be dead.
On the bright side, she can still claw while grappled.
Panting & scrabbling madly, Ysme struggles against the fungal mass.
Claw attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12, Claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Slashing
Claw attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14, Claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Slashing

Desperate to save her companion, Betheda snarls, tearing once more into the fungal mass.

Trip chance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Eli Blakewater
Eli, looking nervous that his bombs are not having the desired pyrotechnic effect, grabs another vial.
Knowledge: Nature on the mound to see if fire is not working well, and what energy type might be better. 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Throw Liquid Ice this time. There will be splash. 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 25 -4 for throwing into melee.
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 cold damage. 4 splash, DC 16 Ref half.
DM Feral
The wet nature of the plant matter makes it resistant to fire but the bombs are doing a good job of burning up the spores that are growing along its exterior. Without the bombs, those spores will likely start spraying.
Eli's flask of alchemical fluid connects and freezes a chunk of the creature solid which promptly shatters and crumbles away.
It seemed to be fully effective.
Ventus and Jess are up.
Adventus Artemidorus
Current HP: 28/40, effects: Con 2 Damage (10), Int 2 Drain (8), Cha 2 Drain 3 (5) Damage, Wis 4 Damage (7), AC: 20
Moving to F15 from H13 and expending whatever extra movement I have to avoid possible AoOs.
Ventus finishes circling around and finds an opening next to the wolf that had been following Ysme around lately. Lacking a better course of action, he stabs at the mold monster while whistling for his companion outside.
Longsword: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Calling for Beaks to join the fray, she was left outside.
Jessamy Pierce
Jessamy sighs as she realizes the others want to get up close and personal with the creature instead of attacking it from afar or trying to circle around it.
This is what being a hero is, I guess...
Quickly firing another arrow, her aim wildly off, she slings her bow across her back and pulls her blades, ready to move in.
I hope I don't die.
Composite shortbow: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 4 = 3
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
DM Feral
The creature whips Ysme about before releasing her long enough to slam back down again.
Vs Pirknok: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Grab vs Pirknok: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32
Constrict: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2) + 7 = 10
Beaks can be heard squawking and banging on the door.
The party is up.
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
Well, it was nice knowing you all while it lasted.
Am I correct in concluding since you didn't mention it that Ysme isn't prone right now?
Knowing it is now a matter of who dies first, herself or this...
thing, Ysme tears into it with all she has.
Claw attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13, Claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Slashing
Claw attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27, Woo Hoo! Now to see if it confirms, wait can you crit one of these things? Claw damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 Slashing
Adventus Artemidorus
Current HP: 28/40, effects: Con 2 Damage (10), Int 2 Drain (8), Cha 2 Drain 3 (5) Damage, Wis 4 Damage (7), AC: 20
Ventus steps back to open the door.
Any creeping supernatural presence keeping me from doing so?
Betheda
Tearing into the obscenity with renewed vigor, Betheda worries at the mass.
Bite attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25, Bite damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Slashing
Trip chance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
Mwaa ha haaa
Ysme crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Betheda crit confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25, hey Betheda does more damage right now anyway...
Betheda Bite crit damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Slashing, for a grand total of 18 Slashing damage!
Shut up! I know Pirknok does more damage sneezing! Let me have my moment!
Adventus Artemidorus
No nearby windows I take it? Also I forgot about my Charisma penalties, I do actually have a chance at having Beaks perform tricks. Here is a make-up roll
Handle Animal (Trick DC 10): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
And now what I'm trying to do
Handle Animal (Push DC 25): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Ventus whistles more insistently trying to galvanize Beaks into taking more drastic measures.
DM Feral
Ysme shreds a little bit more of the monstrous fungus creating an opening for her noble lupine companion to dive into the heart of the thing and tear out something dripping and foul, but somehow vital. The fungal creature thrashes madly just as Ventus gets the door open and the waiting Beaks, after a squawk of disapproval, charges in biting and tearing. The thoroughly throttled dwarf is dropped unceremoniously as the two animal continue to tear the unnatural plant matter to pieces until the whole room is covered in bits of the stuff but, for the first time since they've arrived in the Misgivings, the party feels safe.
Pirknok Stonemight
HP: -6/58, fatigued for 4 rounds (3 rounds of rage remain for day)
Pirknok stares grim-faced and angry at the monster hitting him and his friends, and watches in approval as the rest of the party tears it to shreds. As it falls to the ground, once again lifeless, he leans heavily against the wall and falls unconscious. Healplz? :P
Ysmerelda, Dawn's Rose
"Eli, I have plumbed my own depths & have nothing left to give Pirknok. Use the wand." Ysme calls out as she struggles to forestall her friend's death.
untrained Heal: 1d20 ⇒ 20, to stabilize.
Assuming I survive to lvl 6, I am definitely taking the remove disease Mercy...
Eli Blakewater
Eli steps up with the wand and applies its magic to the Dwarf's wounds.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
"Live, damn you!"
Pirknok Stonemight
Pirknok coughs a few times and feels around for his katana. "Ah'm livin', ah'm livin... quit yer yellin' a'ready!" he grumbles.
HP now 7/58. Fatigued for two more rounds.
Adventus Artemidorus
"Yes, it appears we are free to leave," Ventus said, calming Beaks and picking bits of the worryingly persuasive mold from her feathers.
DM Feral
The trip back to Sandpoint is blissfully quiet but after the long day, very long. When the party passes through the gates, it’s already closing on the midnight hour.
Tired, sore, and probably a little shaken still, the group disperses for their homes to get some rest.
Everyone can level to 6th. Also, those that have the Shoanti tattoo find that it’s grown across your flesh and you’re visited by a powerful vision in your sleep. When you wake, the enhancement bonus improves to +2. If you write me an awesome vision like last time, I might award something a little extra…
Those without tattoos, don’t worry. You’ll get toys too.
